In fact, it would be a jersey battle for the two of them and Barcelona could very well benefit from it. After all, Dembele and Raphinha will be very eager and want to start the game in the starting 11 for Barcelona. No matter who is in the reserve, he will give his all when he enters the game.

The difference is, they could get a ton more money for Dembele. So get Raphinha for cheap, and then sell Dembele for a lot of money. Sure that would make their team worse, but not "much" worse whereas they would be able to make a ton of money from it. This is what they need, get players for either free or very cheap, and then sell the players they have for a lot of money, and keep doing this for few years. If they do that, and still end up at least top 3 every year on la liga, then they are going to be fine.

I think top 2 gets insanely more than everyone else so maybe top 2. That way they could remove all the debt, fix their salary issues, and still stay relevant.

Ousmane Dembele current status as a free transfer player is because Ousmane Dembele has not given a definite answer about his future with Barcelona after his contract expires. from various sources that I read where barcelona has made an offer to extend a new contract for Ousmane Dembele but on the condition that he must accept a lower salary than before because Barcelona are experiencing a financial crisis. that's why Ousmane has not answered whether he will accept a new contract or he will choose to leave Barcelona.

The problem is that he is too fragile at Barcelona because indeed it is a bit of a waste even though he is playing quite well but he spends most of his time in the treatment room here, I may quite agree with you when you say he is not very suitable at Barcelona but actually for the fit in terms of the game may still be the same in vision but because he is often injured it makes it quite difficult for him to adapt again and again.
Until now Xavi still believes in him and hopes Dembele can return to their squad even with a pay cut for a new contract.

I heard that United delayed the release of the video intended to introduce the team for next season because Ronaldo is there and now this video is being edited. If this is true, then the issue of Ronaldo's departure has already been resolved at all levels and all parties understand that this will happen. We shouldn't care too much about how news about Barcelona's financial situation is published by the media. Their transfers so far have gone smoothly especially regarding the two new signings. I'm just sure the team and the entire management have worked hard to improve the situation and resolve issues both regarding player salaries, debt and player entry and exit issues, but it won't end overnight.

Raphinha and Lewandowski are two other players that Barcelona are still interested in, but of course Barcelona will have to work things out for De Jong before they can reach an agreement with the two players. I'll just wait for the good news, but I can really see the team and management have been working hard to resolve a number of issues.

I find Barcelona's interest in Dembele again as interesting to be honest. Because they were the side that didn't seem willing to see him in the team anymore in the first place. Dembele stated some time ago that he wanted to stay for a longer time. Xavi also seemed leaning towards for keeping him here. But now there is a big ambiguity about this situation. I think Dembele will end up with a different team this summer and that team might be Chelsea depending on the result of the Raphinha deal.
