Lewandowski transfer to Barcelona is still just a rumor, Barcelona have shown interest in Lewandowski, but Barcelona are not yet willing to pay Lewandowski as Bayern Munich asked. Lewandowski is still very productive as a striker, Barcelona is not the only club that wants to sign Lewandowski, because many other clubs are interested in using Lewandowski services, Bayern Munich still maintains Lewandowski selling value even though he is 33 years old.
I believe it is a rumor only or if it is true, it is just an attempt from Barcelona. However, if Barcelona made such offer, it shows they are still unclear on how they should rebuild their squad. Aubameyang is better with Barcelona tactic, not Lewandowski who is more similar to Ibrahimovic. Aubameyang has similar style and skill set like Thiery Henry who succeeded in Barcelona.
It seems that the signing of Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski is becoming complicated. Hence Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is now targeting Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno as a capable option in case Robert Lewandowski signing process hits the rock. It will not be also easy to get the signature of Gerard because of his release clause of €100m and Atletico Madrid also wants him to replace the leaving Luis Suarez. These two strikers are in their thirties but they have the ability to add the needed vigor to the attack of Barcelona.
Lewandowski will likely to leave Bayern and it is just where he will move to.
I think it is bad idea to replace Gerard Moreno from Villareal to Lewandowski. He is not a too good striker especially if compare him to Lewandowski. To replace Lewandowski, an alternative striker must be able to score lot of goals. So far I don't see ability to score many goals from Gerard Moreno.
