Barcelona came a long way to be finishing the league as second runners up. At some point, I was feeling they will remain stuck at the fourth position because Sevilla at the time was quite a strong force. But then, I feel Xavi had to employ another strategy and they had to go back to their winning ways and ended second. .
It was quite an interesting season even tho they were not strong enough to threaten Real Madrid, but then next season could be better.

Hopefully this can happen because this season is not like the usual seasons because Madrid are too Domineering this season even they are very far ahead which makes this not like a competition for the championship but only giving them trophies voluntarily considering there is no team that can really make a fuss there

Not really bad after success give second position standing for Barcelona in this season and give chance back to champion league next season, but still waiting how bad performance this season and gone all chance get trophy from domestic league, champion league and europe league. it is a good Vision but when this Expectation is not in line with Reality then what happens? he could be the subject of ridicule just as Koeman was initially praised when he replaced Quique Setien who did not bring any change at Barcelona.
This is a challenge for Xavi whether he really wants to be labeled as a great coach again or does he want to be a laughing stock due to his not good enough contribution.

The team's motivation was different in this last match, Barcelona had no effect on any results they received while Villarreal desperately needed a win in order for them to secure their position to be able to get a ticket to European competition.
I think the motivation that Villarreal players have is bigger that they can win the game against Barcelona.
actually Villareeal's performance is quite good this season, they can reach the semifinals of the UCL but they are not consistent in the league so that their standings position is very low.
and for Barcelona to have bounced back so quickly after slumping at the start of the season, the factor in Xavi's entry as coach was the most influential. I have no doubt that next season Barcelona will be even stronger.

Even if they get a bad result here and there, they should be still be patient about him.
