It makes me feel really good to watch another superb game in the Super Cup after the El Clasico. Athletic Bilbao really impressed me by their determined effort. They did what was needed and went beyond the expectations by defeating Atletico Madrid by 2-1. And they won the game even though they were 1-0 behind. Atletico Madrid are still in a bad shape and they proved it here one more time certainly.
Well when you see ATM leading with 1 goal you have the feeling that they almost made it but what a disappointment to see them kicked from Supercopa.. I find ATM easier to win by Real Madrid, now they have to deal with Bilbao, which is a headache, you never know when they will play good and threaten you!

Barcelona really resisted Real Madrid quite well. I guess that most people expected Real Madrid to just dominate the match and get a comfortable win. But thanks to Barcelona's dedication here, they didn't let Real Madrid get past themselves too easily. Real Madrid were barely able to eliminate them after extra time. Real Madrid was still the better side in terms of performance but I appreciate Barcelona for their great effort also.

Honestly it looks like Barcelona played a great offensive game and aside from being unlucky they were definitely on the roll offensively. However, their defense still needs to be a lot more strict, they still ended up losing the game because of the goals they got scored. It is simple, they are just focusing on the zone a lot and not their man enough, realizing this, smart players like Benzema ended up slacking a lot behind so that Barcelona defenders would cover where he "should" be and not where he is.
Look at the second goal, his defensive guy goes back to defense while he stays behind a little, that should have not happened and he should have been marked as a great scoring threat. All in all I would say that with some more better defensive plays, they will be great. However, Athletic Club equalize the score with an awesome goal which was scored by Alvarez, and they just scored another goal. Making the score 1-2. But this match Barcelona played better even Xavi's strategy was able to suppress Real Madrid with almost the same resistance even though in the end it had to hurt the decisive goal at the end of the match by Velverde.

I watched this match for 120 minutes. Barcelona forced Real Madrid to go into extra time as the match ended 2-2 in normal time. The only good reason Barcelona bought Memphis Depay, was as a result of Ronald Koeman wanting his presence.
Since he was signed, I have said that Koeman is the reason why Depay and De Jong are at Barcelona. I don't know why Barcelona obeyed Koeman's wishes at that time because Suarez was much more important to maintain than buying these two players. Depay has done his best to find good form, but he lacks something Barcelona expect from his style of play. Memphis Depay is greatest player and he has more contribution for his country but when Xavi Hernandez back to Barcelona he less contribution for team and not get many minutes playing right now, his position always change by Fati and some time Luuk De Jong take as forward replace Depay position, better looking for new club if Barcelona not giving minutes player for Depay exactly he has top performance right now and I think easy how to find new club for him.
Depay does have good potential, maybe Xavi doesn't suit him. Depay himself still has a good chance out there, but does he really have the intention to go and get ready for a new city out there? while at Barcelona Depay did not provide much of a role on the field because Xavi had other options.
