But, they will be playing the Europe League, and their focus should be on how to win, because if they wins, it will definitely result to them getting a free ticket to the Champion League group stage next season.
I've thought of that as well but they are closer for a top 3 or 4 finish in La Liga than winning the Europa League since there are only five points that separates them as of now. It would be a great achievement if they could get both I do not think they have the squad to play in both leagues competitively.
Xavi is gradually building the team up,and with time, they will have players that will be surplus enough to play in almost all the competition.
He is making use of young boys just as Mikel Arteta is doing at Arsenal, and I so much believe in the work he is doing at Barcelona right now.The boys all have great potentials of being great players in the nearest future.
Xavi coming to Barcelona with bad condition financial where on January window transfer he only only has option get Ferran Torres as new player, he has bigger decision before get agreement with Barcelona but at the end he still not get new player in window transfer. I think he has not any expectation with Barcelona can get trophy in this years how ever Champion league miss out from Barcelona after failed in group stage and now just La Liga as chance to get trophy but looks hard with left many points from Real Madrid. Beside financial crisis Barcelona will hard to get competitive with Madrid or Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.

I also don't believe Sevilla can compete with Real Madrid for the La Liga trophy this season. Because it will be difficult for Sevilla to play consistently
until the end of the season, even I predict Sevilla will start dropping points in the next few games.
You may be correct. Sevilla attackers aren't enough to compete for the title, it is the main problem of this team. They have strong defenders but do not look quite strong in the attacking line. Competing for the title needs a proper squad, they must be strong in defense, midfield, and attacking. I don't see it on Sevilla squad this time, but maybe they will buy some good attackers in the next transfer window.

Real Madrid is still the main favorite to win La Liga this season, considering they have a squad with a lot of great players and their financial condition is much better than Sevilla.

Sevilla might not be a tough rival for Real Madrid but it is undeniable that they can be dark horses in this season. Sevilla is already on the title race and they are still in shape to fight for the title. Maybe what they need to do is strengthen the squad and keep trying to play consistently.

and i believe everyone in la liga supported them to keep closing in real madrid especially barcelona fans who hopeless this season lol.
it's something to enjoy talking barcelona struggle though Grin. im not saying that i go against them, i just do love how the betting odds got skyhigh on barcelona this season and i do really love it.

Hardly anyone seriously perceived Sevilla as a real rival of Real - they do not have enough strength to go through the entire season exactly. The only potential competitor was Atlético, but it unexpectedly fell into the middle of the standings in just a few matches and ended up next to Barcelona.
As for the odds for Barcelona, they have really grown fantastically, the problem is that Barcelona is playing according to these odds.

second position, because Atlético as Real Madrid's strongest competitor, they performance is declining. Regarding Barcelona they are still in
the process of adapting to their new coach, maybe Barcelona's realistic target this season is to be in the top 4, in order to play in the Champions
League next season. And I believe Barcelona at the end of the season can finish in the top 4.

This won't be real Madrid great season at all but a season where Sevilla is looking as beginning there closest rival then you can understand the situation of Barcelona and Atletico madrid, I think it's been a poor laliga season thiay affect view finances the league usually gets when most recently Barcelona had Messi, I don't have interest to watch any laliga match not even if it's the el-classico. Barcelona and Atletico should do their utmost best gi be amongst the top five teams.
I share your opinion and i believe that la liga already lost its value and the majority of its fans are not really interested even by the big matches like al classico, im not one of la liga fans but i wish it will recover some of its fun and Enthusiasm soon

Of course that's the most complicated thing to say considering the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid has been going on for years. Almost every season El Clasico becomes a hot match between Barcelona vs Real Madrid, but El Clasico match this season are no longer interesting just because Barcelona are on different paths. Are Barcelona fans desperate? Of course it can happen considering this team is too difficult to win games this season.

Barcelona's target this season is only one, maybe finish in the top 4 because I have convinced myself that Barcelona will not win the title.
The best achievement they could get are by winning the europa league .. so no matter if they finished 7th or 10th lr whatever they finished outside top 4 , they would have 1 guaranteed spot in next season championsl league.

but yeah it would be just a shame if they finished too far from the top 4.
shit are really happening post-covid outbreak , while other clubs recovering ... barcelona keep digging their own grave.

I wonder whether there will be any team to stop Real Madrid's high dominance in the La Liga this season.
Maybe not, but it's still possible to see Real Madrid drop some point in the next 19 match.
So far Real Madrid has a pretty far point difference between its competitors. Usually Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are the toughest rivals every season, but this season Real Madrid lead Laliga like nothing is going to stop them. Barcelona's poor form has turned La Liga into the most boring to watch among European league. I think we have no choice but to support Barcelona's performance improvement so that Laliga's rating can be good again.

But in 2022 we may have a little better hope to see Barcelona find their best form again. Real Madrid will continue to dominate, so that is undeniable in the current situation.

I agree and its really strange to see such odds in Barcelona games but when you look at the results and what happening to them its totally and the bookmakers are in the right way, don't forget that bookmakers think just logically and they don't care about the fan's hearts lol

Real Madrid have a really good fixture ahead of them now. They aren't going to be having a game against one of the biggest teams of the league for many weeks. In this period of time, Real Madrid should take advantage of this situation. They are powerful enough to be able to keep winning. I still don't see any team to beat and stop them easily. If Real Madrid capture a big point difference with the rest of the teams, then I guess they would be able to focus on the CL more than the La Liga.
they have an advantage over the next few weeks because indeed in La Liga, their strongest opponent in January will be Valencia, but they will also have El Clasico in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup in January.
but I think they will be optimistic and can achieve victory after victory because on paper they are now being superior with their striker productivity besides all their lines now there are almost only a few gaps that make them strong.
I think that in January, Real Madrid will only increase the margin and move up without any obstacles

I believe that Villarreal also are among the toughest opponents for Real Madrid. After seeing their recent performance, they started being a team that shouldn't be underestimated anymore. They are on the rise by having a three-game win streak. They won comfortably against tough opponents like Real Sociedad and Vallecano also. If they keep this good effort up, they can make difficulties for Real Madrid too.
if you look at the current performance, villareal is now in a pretty bad condition when compared to the previous few seasons.
now they are stranded in the 9th position of the table board and this makes it very difficult for them to push and become underdogs like they did in the previous few seasons.
indeed for the last 3 matches they can sweep all wins in a row, but this is not enough for real madrid

Although the current picture for Barcelona looks bad. After Xavi's arrival, I can say that the team became active again, although the results were not enough, I see the team more motivated. In the matches ahead of Barcelona, their opponents are not very difficult opponents, they should not lose points in these matches. I believe they can fix the situation. But they can't be the best, it's too late this season.

I think it is too early for Xavi to coach such big clubs. Now he makes the typical mistake of an "experienced" person - he tries to apply the tactics that worked personally for him (Tiki Taka). But in the situation in which he is, he must choose the most effective tactics based on what kind of players he has. When a huge budget is allocated to him, then he will be able to select players for the desired tactics, but not earlier.

Atletico Madrid are making me very surprised in the current season. Because they don't play like a solid team now. They are struggling a lot these days and this is not a good look for the last champions in the La Liga. Actually, they didn't make a bad start to the league. But on the last weeks, something big happened about this team and this affected their performance very negatively. I hope that they can find a way out. They are not much different than Barcelona now.

One of the very surprising teams of this season seem to be Betis. They are having a dream season now. We see them at the third place with 33 points. They lost to Athletic Bilbao last by 3-2 away. Actually, they were 2-1 ahead but couldn't prevent a comeback. Before this loss, they had a four-match winning streak which helped them capture their current position in the standings. And if I'm not wrong, Betis have extended Pellegrini's contract after the recent great results they had. Let's see until when this dream will last.
Very impressive team and results this season so far its a continuation for last season where they managed to take the 6th place they have quality players in each position and a good coach i think they can get one of the top four spots especially with the other competitors being out of shape.
