It was a tough day for Barcelona even though they dominated the match mostly. After bringing the score to 2-0, they should have been able to obtain a comfortable victory but Elche made their job more difficult by equalizing the score by scoring two goals in two minutes only. Barcelona still managed to win by 3-2 but they should improve their defending style more. If they become better at defending, they can start winning more regularly in the La Liga.
I would be happy if Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid match was drawn. Because, this would make the fight between the teams harder to get to the top of the points table. Moreover, the performance of Atletico Madrid is much better than that of Sevilla in this match. I thought Sevilla might be playing for a draw. But their luck was good and they were able to win by scoring a goal in the 88th minute of the match. Sevilla have made very few attacks in this match.

Sevilla appeared quite consistent in the match against Atletico Madrid and has a target to get three points considering the distance between Madrid and Real Madrid is 5 points. Sevilla was able to take the lead and take the lead through goals from Ivan Rakitic and Lucas Ocampos to make Sevilla win over Ateltico Madrid. Barcelona barely won, but even a weak team like Elche managed to score two goals at the Camp Nou. I'm afraid to imagine what will happen in the next match, which will take place in two days against Sevilla. I don't see any progress in Barcelona at the moment, so:

Barcelona is so bad,everybody should just avoid betting on them,its just too much stress,they barely won and they even leaded 2-0 and Elche was able to score 2 goals in 1 minute,that is just shocking for a club such as Barcelona,this things should happen at all for them.
After yesterday's victory of Sevilla over Atlético, it became even more obvious to me that in the Sevilla-Barcelona match, the coefficient for Sevilla's victories of 2.49 is just a gift. Xavi should still be working on Barcelona's defense. The defense needs to be strengthened.

Barcelona did manage to get full points, but their performance was not impressive. Well, they won ball possession, but I think this is natural considering they are playing at home and their opponent is not a big team. The main problem is Barcelona's defense where their performance is fairly poor, and they are often troubled when facing counter attacks.

Barcelona showed an extraordinary performance against Elche, Barcelona appeared dominant at the start of the match, They even tend to lock Elche in the visitors penalty box. The opportunities created by Barcelona players are quite a lot, recorded 19 shots were successfully released by Barcelona players in this match. Barcelona find it easy going trying to score goals,I think the midfield and attack's working perfectly.
The defense needs a total upgrade,they have conceeded a whole lot of goals since the return of Xavi Hernandez as head Coach.
If that could be addressed,then Barcelona will be back,the defensive midfielder role likewise,Serjio Busquet might be good with the bal but lacjs the energy to recover ball's.
The late win will boost them forward.

Good to see Barcelona win again at their home but jts poor to see Barcelona playing against elche and had to win the game by 3-2 it's not typical of Barcelona in the past to play this game and only win elche by that score line, well times has really changed for Barcelona and now I can only say that barcelona fans to drop their expectations for the team, and see every game at a time, as a possible 3 points, shared points or no points at all, Barcelona isn't a sure win any more.

Edit: A disastrous 88th minute saw Atletico Madrid lose to Sevilla 2-1. That's bad for them. Everything I said about Atletico Madrid failed miserably.
A very important match was played in La Liga. Sevilla beat their tough rival Atlético Madrid 2-1. The goal scored by Ivan Rakitic was the best goal of the match. Maybe even the goal of the week in La Liga. He managed to send the ball into the goal from a distance with a perfect shot. Sevilla continues to follow Real Madrid with this win. There is a difference of 5 points between them. Sevilla's only hope now is to wait for Real Madrid to lose points. Of course Sevilla must win all their matches.
Sevilla played impressively against Atletico Madrid, and got a satisfying winning. I literally thought the game will end draw, because the both teams are strong. Although, the match was a quite tough for Atletico, their intention was to draw the game and probably achieve a point. But, Sevilla managed to secure 3 winning points.
While Real Sociedad lost their home match to Villarreal. Real Sociedad performance in the match were poor. However, Sociedad got a red card which also contributed to them losing. Villarreal dominated the match and after ending the first half in 1-1, they were able to score more 2 goals in the second half. Which made them won the game with 1-3 score.

Barcelona won their home match vs Elche 3-2 but they still didn't seem to have a very satisfying performance. They still have big issues with their defense. And I hope that Xavi continues to work on it especially. If they don't make their defense much better than now, they would have big problems in the rest of the matches of the season. I really would like to see Barcelona climbing to top places again.
Not really convincing result indeed .. conceded 2 goals in two minutes and a winning goal at 85' is not typical the real barcelona , but at least yeah they win it. Sevilla next and with this winning xavi might expect a confidence boost as they have to face elclassico within 3 weeks from then.
they are 7th now and if they keep the incoinconsitent form like this till next year , they might wont play in any european competition lol , such a serious misery.

The Barcelona players needed to win. They needed to see the result of their work.It's bad that we conceded two goals and could miss the victory. Xavi must work on the physical side of the team. And we urgently need to strengthen the defense. At the moment this is more important. I am happy for them, although I am a fan of Real Madrid. Strong Barcelona needs Real Madrid, because it makes him even stronger.
After sack of Koeman and arrival of Xavi still have no good impact on team performance because as we all watch in today match they have 2 - 0 lead and then 2 - 2 which is very poor from Barcelona standard, but they need to do some more good which is very important for having high rank in La Liga, but a win is won which done by them.On other note they have some good number of players in injury list which is also hurting them but now in next transfer window hopefully they will have some better buying which will help them to do some more good for having next year's Champions League spot because it's very essential for them in long run in case of lost this spot they can feel very serious financial issues which are already around their neck.
First of all, it was a great match between Barcelona and Elche. Both teams wanted a point or points here and showed it to us absolutely. But Barcelona were the happy team at the end of the game by 3-2.
Elche is not a strong team that Barcelona faced. From the statistic and also on the paper itself, Barcelona is about over Elche, and Barcelona should not find or experience a very difficult match. But in fact, Elche still could score 2 even they were lost from Barcelona with 2-3. Elche had done their best and I really appreciate it. Barcelona should play much better again in the next matches in order to at least maintain the points or ranks and also to try increasing their rank. Between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid is one of the big matches. Both are strong teams and they will try their best to win this match, moreover, this is about fighting for points that are crucial enough to maintain or increase each rank.
It is surprising that Sevilla still really gets a chance to score in the 88', a goal from Lucas Ocampos.
