I think that the Real Madrid - Valencia game is going to be an interesting one today. Real Madrid have dominated the season so far. But their loss vs Getafe was quite unexpected and surprising. But of course, they weren't going to win all of their remaining games either. But in this game tonight, I think that Valencia have nowhere to run away from Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. Valencia have been one of the impressive teams lately but they have no chance here. They couldn't have beaten Real Madrid for nearly 14 years in an away game in the La Liga. I expect this streak to continue and Real Madrid to win also.

real madrid seems to be doing well but not well, they have had problems in defense and sometimes in scoring goals, for example in this case where they will play against valencia, in my opinion the chances of the game ending in a draw are much higher than Real Madrid wins the game, I still don't understand why bookmakers are giving low odds for Real Madrid in case they win, it seems that Real Madrid is a very strong team and that they will win easily when this is not true, the valencia had to have a 50% maybe even 60% chance of winning the game, I'm a fan of real madrid but I'm not mistaken with this odd of @1.40 in favor of real madrid

Yes, you're right, but that's exactly what I wrote about. The Big Three - Real, Barcelona and Atlético - own the Spanish championship, and the last time someone outside intervened in this hegemony was about 20 years ago. And objectively speaking, the chances that someone else will intervene in the dominance of this trio in the next 20 years is very small - all three clubs have a streamlined structure, huge budgets and it is hard to believe that all three will fail at once.
And yet this can happen at any time, although of course it is difficult to disagree with your words. There is more hope not that all three hegemon clubs will fail, but rather that another new contender for the championship of a comparable level will appear. Such hegemony can be quite disastrous for competition and spectator interest in the domestic championship and for national football in general as a result, but on the other hand it is quite viable for competition at the international level and the example of Barcelona, Real Madrid and partly Atletico Madrid are an excellent illustration of this thesis. No wonder the presidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to rush with the idea of creating a super league.

Better such a hegemony of three clubs than the hegemony of Bayern or Juventus (thank God this year Juventus will lose the race for the championship). But the best is the enemy of the good, so if the fourth top club appears, it will be good and in the end everyone will benefit from it. The EPL is the league with the most title contenders and the most "diverse" champions in the last 10 years and as a result it is the most profitable league in Europe.

Barcelona have a tough match ahead maybe but they need to win to keep a good form. I know that they are still in the recovery phase and building a brand new team in the leadership of Xavi. And they might not manage to end the season at one of top four positions also. But they can still do their best by focusing on each game completely. And in case they fail in ending in top four, they would need to win the Europa League to join the Champions League groups directly.
Granada are unbeaten in last 5 match, they were in good form against Barcelona today. Meanwhile, Barcelona's performance in the last few match also looks good where they are able to show the quality of their match, but the result may still not be good enough where they are only able to win 2 times from the last 5 match in Laliga. Of course this is not an easy match for both team, but Barcelona will likely be the favorites in this match.

I suspect Barcelona will still struggle to score goals, but since Dembele is at his best then something can be expected from him. He scored in the last match of Barcelona vs Linares and that will probably motivate him to do better in today's match. I'll be watching this match, I hope they can win by over 2 goals.

Granada v Barcelona match could be another interesting one today. Barcelona are highly the favourite club for this match by an odd around 1.60. I find it interesting actually because bookmakers clearly underestimate Granada for this match. I think in the opposite way. Bookmakers might know something as they consider Barcelona being very close to win. But I'm expecting Barcelona to have a big difficulty in this match. And maybe it could even end up with a draw too.

Based on the rankings Barcelona is more in favourites but Granada as home team can put up a fight so don't be surprised if Barcelona draw or even lose
Last week Madrid were beaten by Getafe who are ranked 16th something we never thought of before that's why I'm not too enthusiastic about watching this match the same thing could happen and it's really boring.

@jakdanyel the bookies have given low odds based on Barcelona’s past glory days, but currently I no longer consider them favourites for this match hence wagering on Granada might not be a bad idea.

Further one will need to study in depth how well have Granada played at home, and can their formation cause trouble for Barcelona player’s as i haven’t observed them a lot, hence I have made a call based on my gut feeling about them winning, but others do your own research before wagering on this fixture.

Since I am a Barca fan, I look forward to watching the Granada vs Barcelona match. However, I am scared to see the past performance of Barcelona. Can they win?
Barcelona has not lost in the last 4 matches. 2 wins 2 draws. However, opponents other than Sevilla were weak. I can't say Granada is weak. Barcelona have not won their last two matches against Granada. So in this match I am apprehensive. Most likely the match could be a draw.

We know that this year for Barcelona is very different compared to previous years.  In this year's cases, we expect Barcelona to go to European cups, especially UCL, rather than becoming champions.  I expect a win in the Granada match.  They're in shape, as you've said lately.  Still, the opponents were considered weak.  I expect a good performance in the Granada game.  The team is a little more resilient.

So Barcelona just gave Couthinho to Gerrard and Aston Villa and it shouldn't be a surprise as Couthinho really doesn't desire to play for Barcelona and his best moment of his career was indeed with Bayern even if with Liverpool had some great moments too. Regarding Villa , I think it's a great choice for him to come back to EPL and especially to work again with Gerrard as the two of them are really friends off-pitch and this will help Couthinho to find his great shape back at 29 years of age.
He could still do very well at 29 if used regularly, and I know there is no way he will be at Villa that Gerrard will not use him regularly.

Barcelona parting ways with Coutinho is a very good deal for both parties.I believe he will pick form at Villa and become one of the best players in England.
There are a lot of football players in England with very good player status, I don't know if Coutinho will be one of them.  However, it is certain that Barcelona will go through a serious economic relief by transferring Coutinho to Aston Villa.  Still, he was a talented player who could have done well even if he had stayed at Barcelona.  He can do very well at Aston Villa.  I can say that it was a good transfer for Aston Villa.
Coutinho is a pretty good player and had a brilliant performance with Liverpool before moving to Barcelona, I think one fatal mistake that Coutinho made when he accepted a proposal from Barcelona and made his career even more dim, it was proven after Countiho left Liverpool successfully won the champions league title which Countinho dreamed of moving to to Barcelona, but now he's back in the Premier League with Aston Villa and hopefully can put in a good performance there.

Barcelona has to determine which players are essential and try to get ride of the rest, especially those who aren't playing regularly and with a decent salary. That's the only way to make the team great again Roll Eyes
Coutinho career in Barcelona wasn't like what he expected but he can prove himself in EPL.
Coutinho`s career is just going down since he joined Barcelona a few years ago and it dosent have an upside. Now he is going to Aston Villa that is mostly a middle table team in the premier league or a team that is fighting to stay in the league. At least he will be the main player there.

Coutinho's biggest mistake was when he decided to move to Barcelona, where Coutinho's career was ruined. Whereas with Liverpool, Coutinho achieved
his best performance. Hopefully Coutinho's decision to return to the Premier League makes him find his best game again. Moreover, Coutinho prefers
Aston Villa over Arsenal and Newcastle, that's because at Aston Villa it was Steven Gerrard's presence that influenced Coutinho's decision, maybe
Coutinho hopes that Gerrard, who has played together at Liverpool, can make him able to bring out his best game. I think Coutinho's decision is right,
apart from having Steven Gerrard as the main coach, playing for Aston Villa will give Coutinho more playing opportunities. Because we know Aston Villa
don't have many star players, so Coutinho can be the main player. According to Fabrizio Romano who is a transfer specialist journalist, reports that
Aston Villa will only pay part of Coutinho's salary. In addition, Barcelona also provides a permanent buy clause at the end of this season if Aston Villa
are interested in buying Coutinho permanently.

When I looked at the odds that the bookmakers offer for this match, I also thought that Valencia is underestimated. At the end of the day, Real is in a clear slump and Valencia can be expected to be a tough challenge for it. In the Spanish Championship, I support Real, so I won't bet against it, but I don't see any point in betting on the victory of Real with such a low odd:
1.35 - 5.4 - 9.2
even though it's like that I will still be there even though the stakes are very small Cheesy
they may be currently in a bad period because the last 3 matches the result was 1 draw 1 win and 1 loss. but on the other hand I still don't doubt their performance even though there are some players who still can't appear and until now I don't know whether Vinicius is playing or not but I will stay by the side of madrid

I will also remain on the side of Madrid (Real Madrid not Atlético), but I will not bet on this match  Grin
1.35 is too low coefficient, it does not justify the risk. Naturally, you know better how to place bets, since this is a financial choice and each has its own strategy and responsibility. Personally, I prefer to avoid such low odds in circumstances that create too much randomness around the event - virus, unclear line-ups, unclear players' willingness after the holidays, etc.
I hear you. You need to place a significant amount just to earn something decent from such a low odds but I'm definitely not betting my money on a side that's struggling as of late. I may consider if it was anything closer to 1.75 or higher. Good luck to anyone bold enough hehe.

Barcelona seem to be doing really well after Xavi took over.It is not only the luck that usually new coaches have when they start managing a new squad,it is also because Xavi has been the very heart of midfield and the very heart of the Barcelona itself when he was in his golden days. The fact that they are just 2-3 points away from the third place I think it is another big motivation for them to start performing even better as Xavi tries to harmonize even further the players with each other and I think they can easily achieve this for the remaining of the season.
I don't see any much difference except maybe the points, which sometimes don't tell the full story of how matches are played. But in terms of game play, which we expected to change so much when he took over. Everything is still pretty much the same.
Even most of the  matches were won unconvincingly. Anyway, let's give them time and see how Xavi and Co. will progress.

Barcelona have officially loaned coutinho to Aston Villa until the end of the season with a permanent purchase option, and reportedly in the next 48 hours coutinho will undergo a medical test and also make an introduction to Aston Villa fans, coutinho move to Aston Villa will certainly make Barcelona a little relieved because they can reduce the salary burden which is quite large, besides that coutinho departure to Aston Villa certainly gives them the opportunity to register Ferran Torres to La Liga because the salary burden has been reduced and they have been freed from the salary cap rules that have hit Barcelona so far.

There is a visible improvement from Barcelona, they finally entered the top 5 in the standings this time. could this be the first time Barcelona is in 5th place after a long time sinking in the top 10? Because I didn't pay too much attention to Barcelona's movement a while ago. Preparing against Granada is the ideal opportunity, maybe Barcelona can score and win the game. It took 2 or 3 points and that has shifted Atletico Madrid backward. Let's see after Barcelona's plan after signing Ferran Torres will it become a big force.
Currently barcelona has managed to break into the top 5 positions, but I don't know if it's luck or if there has been an improvement in barcelona now, because when I look at barcelona performances in some of their current matches, I don't see anything special they can do show, yes they did win in those matches but you can see if Barcelona are having difficulties in the game and even many wins are obtained with only a thin score.
Apart from that, in my opinion, Barcelona is quite lucky right now, because several teams that previously controlled the top 5 have actually experienced a decline in performance such as Real Sociedad and Rayo, so that this has provided a way for Barcelona to up.
But will Barcelona last long in the top 5?
I don't think so, if Real Sociedad and Rayo return to a positive path, of course, Barcelona will be forced to return to bottom position.
