It is totally true. Real Madrid are playing one of their best games when we take the recent seasons into account. They have won seven games in a row in the La Liga. After Ronaldo's leaving the team, it is the first time I'm seeing them playing this great. They have brought back the memories with him now. Barcelona couldn't stay the same after Messi's departure but Real Madrid are not the same now.

And there are a very surprising team at the third place which are Betis now. They have a huge winning streak of four games and this helped them rise in the standings a lot. They are even four points ahead of Atletico Madrid and a really different season might be waiting for us.

Benzema is the real leader of the team and a lot is tied to him, now paired with Vinícius they have an excellent combination and together they show excellent performance. If this efficiency persists, the team will get the championship this year without any problems.

Real Madrid were the favourite against Atletico Madrid by far thanks to their huge effort on the previous weeks. And they didn't make me surprised as they became victorious with a 2-0 score. Benzema is still maintaining his fascinating performance and scored another goal in this game too. Now he has 13 goals in 16 La Liga games. And I'm looking forward to watching him in the coming games also.

I already knew Atletico will do nothing in that very match. Real Madrid is in mad form and Atletico is struggling. The days that ATM might take Real Madrid by surprise and win with maybe a lone goal are gone. That was when Barcelona was setting a very high pressure and competition with Real Madrid. Madrid would be planning how to deal with Barcelona and ATM will use the opportunity and strike.
As it is now, there is no competitor, Real will do whatever they like at any time.

Real Madrid won the Madrid derby even easier than I expected. I thought that Atletico Madrid would fight back against them by scoring at least one goal but they couldn't even do that. Atletico Madrid are having a really bad time these days and Simeone must create a formula to solve the problems. If they don't do this, they might end the season being far away from the first place.

It would be an interesting option, but is Barcelona capable of winning the Europa League? There are some pretty serious opponents there, for example: Real Sociedad, Napoli, Lazio, Betis, Leipzig, Porto, Dortmund, Atalanta, Sevilla - relative to the current state of Barcelona, any of these clubs seem to be at least not weaker. If the club does not make serious acquisitions during the winter transfer window, then the prospects for Barcelona look unenviable.

Although Atletico was good yesterday, Real secured a win that, in my opinion, concludes the he title race. I know it is weird to say that after only 17 games have passed but there's a huge gap between Real and Atletico already, and an even bigger one between them and Barcelona.

The only team that can challenge Real for the title is Sevilla, and I really think they will not be able to sustain a challenge - they lack both the quality and team depth to do so.

Atletico played very differently from the previous season, the previous season Atletico's defense was very difficult to penetrate by the opposing team.
So from 38 matches in La Liga, Atletico only suffered 4 defeats and became the team with the fewest goals conceded. But this season it is very difficult

Actually, now it's just the middle of the championship and a lot can change, but it's really not yet clear how and due to what Barcelona will give out a big winning streak and return to the leading positions.

I'm fairly convinced that this is Real Madrid's season to lose. They will likely drop more points towards the end but other big teams are also struggling so I doubt they could really catch up. Barcelona can add all the players they want once the transfer window opens but they cannot produce results right away. They will have a better chance next season,

Yep. They dominated the match. I assume this is because Ancelloti released the right players as the starters. So, they can win the fight on midfield by putting Kroos and Modric together. You're right we didn't see Atlético playing at its best even though this game is important for them totally beyond expectation
