Actually, now it's just the middle of the championship and a lot can change, but it's really not yet clear how and due to what Barcelona will give out a big winning streak and return to the leading positions.

I'm fairly convinced that this is Real Madrid's season to lose. They will likely drop more points towards the end but other big teams are also struggling so I doubt they could really catch up. Barcelona can add all the players they want once the transfer window opens but they cannot produce results right away. They will have a better chance next season,

Real Madrid became like PSG in ligue 1, they dominated the league, and for me La Liga is secured, Benzima and Asensio secured the win, without forgetting about Vinicius who made two assists, it is great to see Asensio getting back to shape after the injury, he is such a talented player and one of my favorites, he scores such magnificent goals out of nowhere, long distance shots for him are like shots from the penalty box for a lot of players, Real Madrid have a terrifying squad right now.

If you checked the previous discussion here, many people didn't expect much on Barcelona to win the match. We were already disappointed after the loss of Barcelona in the previous match. We all know the previous match was in Camp Nou. While against Osasuna, Barcelona will play away. Sure the chance to win should be smaller here.

Yep. They dominated the match. I assume this is because Ancelloti released the right players as the starters. So, they can win the fight on midfield by putting Kroos and Modric together. While they also can attack aggressively by putting Benzema-Vinicius-Asensio. I am very satisfied with the starting players selection in this match. In my opinion, it is the best lineup of Real Madrid. Wink

Maybe Xavi did not fully imagine the problems he had to face at the club. On the one hand, such chances as working as a head coach in Barcelona are not scattered. On the other hand, this can ruin a coaching career and can be fraught with a loss of self-confidence and coaching authority. Maybe Xavi was in vain and it was worth trying his hand at clubs with a lower rank from the top European championships to practice coaching skills, because Qatar is a little different conditions.

To date, Barcelona has scored exactly 50% of the possible points (16 games and 24 points scored out of 48). Considering that almost half of the championship is behind, the degree of improvement in the game needed to compete for the first two places should be gigantic. No matter what transfers Barcelona will carry out, this is already unrealistic. Keeping in mind the dire financial situation that Barcelona is in, I am starting to fear that next season they will not play in the Champions League even in the group stage.

I started thinking that they should win EL to be able to play in CL next season.. Still not desperate situation there but you fail to find an imaginable way to rebuild the team. Even Xavi mentioned once that Barca needs to recruit few players to be able to compete. What I am afraid for is to see them getting kicked from CL and playing in Conference League. I don't think it will happen but couldn't say it isn't possible Undecided

Vinicius Jr has also been on fire.
So far, after 17 matches. Benzema leads the pack with 13 goals and 7 assists. Second is Vini Jr 10 goals and 4 assists. The guys have so far been very reliable. Ramos and Varane are history now. The team has to move on and the current defenders aren't bad.

vinicius did 2 assists in the 2 goals for madrid and that was incredible

actually in the last minute, Atl Madrid already had a chance to score a goal but the free-kick was not a difficult thing for madrid, a pretty good match

I had an expectation like Real Madrid would become the winner by a one-goal gap but they got the win by two goals. Atletico Madrid couldn't even score one goal. They were literally helpless against Real Madrid in this away match. Diego Simeone must be really uncomfortable with this result. It was obvious that Real Madrid were the closer team to win considering their recent form. But a team like Atletico Madrid should have been able to fight back against them.

Real Madrid are very close to getting a comfortable win vs Atletico Madrid in Bernabeu. The current score is 2-0 and I don't expect any surprise from Atletico Madrid to make from now on. Real Madrid have been in a wonderful shape for some time in the La Liga. They had a huge winning streak that they would be more focused on this game compared to Atletico Madrid. And it is really the case now seemingly.

Marco Assensio managed to put Madrid 2-0 up in the 57th minute, there are still 40 minutes left in the second half and Real Madrid are still dominant in possession, I don't think the remaining 40 minutes in the second half can change the situation and Real Madrid won the derby first of the season. This result makes Madrid's position if at the end of the game the score does not change to be more solid at the top of the standings with 42 points from 17 matches, it is certain that Madrid will be the champion of this half of the season, hopefully they will be consistent in the rest of the next matches and can win the La Liga trophy again.

I think that Real Madrid scored the relieving goal for themselves and they are very close to becoming victorious here. There is a 2-0 disadvantage for Atletico Madrid and I don't think that they can upset the balances from now on. They have nothing to lose and they would start leaving more spaces in their defense I guess. And this would mean that Real Madrid might even win by a bigger score.
