Also, the bad thing is that the game makes us lose our main goalkeeper, Courtois. That game cost us a lot.
Really? Man, I'm really sorry about him.
Because you know how long he stayed away from football in the previous season. He barely caught up with the end of the season. Now there is another threat for Real Madrid.
Now I have done some research and they say his return is unknown for now. I hope it wouldn't be another long-running injury. They still have Lunin who can be reliable but Courtois is something else...
Obviously a big blow to Real Madrid, but they did fine without him last year, and they may do fine without him for now too. We are talking about a very few games, just a couple, and he will return back after international break, so we shouldn't really expect Real to lose any points while he is gone.
Being out for nearly a month would be bad for shape, but he is not a winger, he is a goalkeeper and his reflexes will be fine. Real has to accept that Courtois is a great goalkeeper, one of the best ever, but he is getting older and there is a need for some player who will be younger and replace him eventually.
I know getting a backup goalkeeper who could be awesome is hard, because why would an awesome goalkeeper be willing to sit at the bench, but maybe they could just agree on a future deal, like when contract ends, or loan them out or something I don't know. No idea what they will do, but they need to find someone asap, if they lose Courtois long term yet again, things won't be so nice.
