Did anyone bet on the match just now between Betis - Alaves?
I made a bet on Betis and was very surprised when it checked the match coincided at halftime, it was 0-2 clear for Alaves' win. Then I left and felt like I always had bad luck betting on La Liga but in the end, after the match was over I checked again and I was really happy that Betis were able to turn things around and win the match 3-2.

I think Barcelona were expecting them to get a draw and so they are happy. Atletico have a home game against Bilbao in two days which is their missing game. In the worst case, Atletico will be six points ahead of Barcelona by winning the game but I think it will still be good for Barcelona. Because it is not a gap that is too hard to close. I'd like to remind that Atletico had many more point difference with Barcelona and Real Madrid both but now the competition is much higher.
Barcelona can expect anything, but reality always brings its own adjustments to any expectations  Wink Undoubtedly, the draw that Real Madrid got on the flag itself is the most favorable outcome of the match, but undoubtedly Real Madrid is also happy in its own way that it managed to save itself and not let go of Atletico higher in the standings. Therefore, everyone remained at their own and for Atletico, the x-hour will be just the postponed match. If Atletico wins, this is the confidence of the leader, in the case of a draw or a loss, the strongest intrigue for the championship will appear.

Barcelona look very happy with match result draw between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid because now very close with Atletico Madrid position, but here most benefit is Real Madrid looking third team will have the same points, exactly Madrid have win with head to head at the last season have the same points from Atletico Madrid or Barcelona, because Madrid success defeat Barcelona on the first match.

Of course Barcelona does hope that the Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid match will end in a draw. That way Barcelona can now be in second place
behind Atletico Madrid by just 3 points. So it is very possible to be pursued by Barcelona if it turns out that Atletico have dropped points in the next
two matches. For Real Madrid, it seems that Barcelona don't need to worry, as long as Barcelona don't drop points, then Real Madrid will have
difficulty passing Barcelona.

Slava Ukraini!
Real Betis found a last minute goal and turn the game around from 0-2 to 3-2. What a match! I wouldn't expect something like that on a Monday night.
After this result Alaves stay in relegation zone and Betis stay in Top 6. Borja Iglesias subbed in second half and changed the whole game. Real Betis did the right thing by hiring Pellegrini, that's obvious.
Damn, why did I turned off game first half lol. Seems that I missed a lot. From what I saw in first half, Betis dominated game, seems that things haven't changed much in 2nd half. Alaves had just few shots on target and managed to convert it into 2 goals. I didn't expected Betis to make comeback, but they saved my bet Cheesy.
Betis had really poor start this season, but now they're getting better eventually, though it would be difficult for them to fight for spot in Champions league.

I was disappoited in the Alaves team lol, you cannot avoid relegation if you get hammered after going 2 goals up in the tie; The game was turned around in Betis favor after the Penalty kick was converted by Iglesias to half the deficit. Good and deserved win by Real Betis; and if they continue this way, could get a top league position for europa league

In less than a month, Barcelona and Seville have faced 3 times, in the Cup, La Liga, and then the Cup. Close matches and excitement are present, with distinct tactical confrontations between Julien Lopetegui and Ronald Koeman.
The Spaniard knew how to take advantage of Barca's weaknesses first, but the Dutch coach responded differently in two matches, to modify his tactics and add new surprises to his plans, especially with the switch to 3-5-2 and its derivatives.

Atlético Madrid's moral was not hit that bad after the derby. They have a bit of time to digest this draw and move on as they will need to concentrate and stay focused for the match with Biblao which is happening on March 10th because by recovering that game they could consolidate their leadership in La Liga.
Must be they are happy with the result, 1-1 is not a bad result to get against Real Madrid, plus they are their closes rival so with this they managed to not make them get closer, if Real won that would put ATM at 58 points versus Real at 56 points, so just one game difference that would be very hard even if ATM has one game in hand with that. Now ATM is at 59 and one game in hand, if they win that they are 62 points, Barcelona as closest is at 56 points, that is 6 point difference.

It is still at a level that could be closed, we are not out of the woods just yet, but it is still a quite good result for them. There is about 13 games to 14 games left (13 for barca and real, 14 for ATM) and that means ATM needs to manage to lose less than 2 games compared to barca, is that doable? Surely it is, but it is still way too close to make a call just yet.

I really expected Atletico to win against Real Madrid and take their revenge of the 2-0 loss this season. They were really close to make it too but Benzema literally saved the team with his goal (88'). Benzema really have had a big role on Real Madrid's matches so far with his goals and he is the most scorer of the team now. Even though Atletico still have a missing game, Barcelona got what they wanted for this week.

With the return of Laporta, will Messi stay in Camp Nou?
is FC Barcelona in a position to renew Messi's contract and pay him 9 figures a year again? is Messi willing to take a 50% wage cut?

Now that his condition seems to have changed, Laporta should have been do anything to keep Messi.
Laporta's priority should not be Messi right now, there are more important things to do, for instance, the club is financially ruined so how about trying to fix Bartomeou's disaster

but Messi is a player who can solve a game at any time

With the return of Laporta, will Messi stay in Camp Nou?

It seems so, last week it was reported that according to Laporta, if he was not re-elected as president of Barcelona, Messi would definitely leave the Nou Camp. Now that his condition seems to have changed, Laporta should have been do anything to keep Messi. Because,  IMO, in voting, Laporta's victory was a form of hope to be able to defend the star. If Messi leaves Barcelona, there will be enormous disappointment from management and from Barcelona supporters who expect Messi to stay.
If this happens, it would be a great loss for Barcelona, not only would its most representative icon leave, but Messi is a player who can solve a game at any time, the truth is, I don't see Messi wearing another team's shirt.

It would be something similar when Real Madrid let CR7 go, to the club that CR7 arrived, shares in the stock rose and victories began, many fans would be very disappointed if such a thing happens at the club. Barcelona is not really my team, but I enjoy good football and it would be a great loss for Barcelona football.
We know Barcelona is Lionel Messi's icon if he leaves, of course there will be disappointments, especially his fans, his usual fans, will be impressed to keep Messi in Barcelona.

But in this matter it is still not unraveled. I think with the new president, what little will be taken for Barcelona in order to maintain this very superstar.

Every time a Barcelona match, of course, I want to see Messi's dribbling so tough for opponents and that's where I am interested in Messi if he leaves, maybe the story will be different again.
If there was no Lionel Messi in Barcelona, I don't think the name Barcelona club will be heard again because most people only know Messi as a mainstay player and become a Barcelona icon because of his extraordinary and agile game and always scores goals.
Yes, that's right, like CR7 when he was at Real Madrid and became an icon of Real Madrid and now Real Madrid is not as famous as when there was CR7.
and an influential player who became a club icon greatly influenced the team's fame and change of play.

Reading the sport news today I noticed something I wanted to share here too: if you guys take Serie A, Premier League and La Liga you will see that two teams from the same city are fighting to win the title on each league. Surprising, uh?
  • Serie A - Inter (1) and Milan (2) from Milan
  • Premier League - Manchester City (1) and Manchester United (2)
  • La Liga - Atlético Madrid (1) and Real Madrid (3)
I put their respective place in the standings between brackets.

I'm not a fan of Barcelona but they are one of the teams that I like in the La Liga. But I don't think that staying at Barcelona will be a good thing for Messi. Because it is very obvious that Barcelona will bid farewell to the CL this season. It has been 5 years that they haven't been the champions and it will be 6 now. It is also unclear whether they will manage to win the La Liga also. And I must admit that I don't like the squad too. I think they need better players for various positions to be able to play more competitive in the CL and win it.

Chances that Messi stay in Barca is on ATH lol. Maybe a bet should be started, before that I was sure that he will leave but now I am pretty confident he will stay. Nevertheless, Barca couldn't count for him forever...

The difference is narrow now in points between the top three in the standings. That one game less from Atletico means not much now as there are about 12 games or so until the end of this season La Liga. Each of the top three has equal chances to win La Liga this season.
Yeah, even Sevilla was able to be part of those 3 if they didn't mess badly their last 2 games. I believe the competition will be between ATM and Barca at the end.

ATL 1 - RM 1

Just like what we've been saying the past couple of days, the Madrid derby is a good chance for Barcelona to close the gap. I thought ATL was going to win it but nice late equalizer there by Benzema. They deserve to get a point for being the better team in my opinion.
Suarez tried his best for Atletico Madrid in this season and in this match. I am very surprised to see how they lost their points too easily like in past several matches in La Liga. It is not only about the lost 2 points against Real Madrid because of the late goal from Benzama.

Atletico Madrid is repeating the mistakes that Barcelona did in the past season and gave the title to Real Madrid. Will Barcelona win the La Liga after late flip against Atletico Madrid? I think their players are feeling better with the new President: Joan Laporta. Real Madrid can be out of the competition but Barcelona is there, with 3 points less and if Atletico lose their points in one or two matches, the competition will become hotter.

I don't think the chance for Real Madrid is high as same as for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Atletico has been under serious pressure from Barcelona and their confidence is not good at this period. I hope they will go through it and win their first La Liga with the new generation and a core player for their next decade: Joao Felix.
