I would say that Bayern has better results than Serie A and that is why Bundesliga is above Serie A, but Leipzig made some nice results last season as well. Actually, last five season results are measured for the competition list, and yes Bundesliga is going up with nice runs from Bayern and Leipzig in Champions League

seems that someone (Bert Kassies) is tracking it in real time and adding changes after each round, Germany was above Italy prior to last season, but Bayern score propeled tham more, Spain is high above others, but when season 15/16 results are erased at the end of the season, situation could change, but all top four countries have four teams in Champions League (seven teams in total)

Popularity is not a factor to decide total positions for one nation (and its national league) in Champions League or Europa League. The net results of all clubs from one league (in one nation) in both Champions League and Europa League in some latest seasons will contribute to the score they get. no, i think top 4 will qualify for the champions league, and barcelona are really close to get to the fourth place, they played 15 matches and they have 25pts, and both real sociedad and villarreal has 26 pts and they played 16 matches, which means if barcelona wins their late game, they will guarantee to be in the fourth place at least.

Again Barcelona cannot play and get the result as expected. I think to be defeated at home isn't Barcelona style. Moreover, they are defeated by a small club. Asenal is the closest to close the deal with Diego Costa, but Arsenal are not doing very good, maybe Diego Costa won't accept Arsenal's offer because of that, he doesn't only want to get paid, he wants to play too, so going to brazil is an option too.

Yeah Arsenal is lagging but lately it resumed the winning cycle and is advancing slowly in the ranking, he can find himself there pretty easily especially that he used to play in EPL before. Going to Brazil rather than EPL is like taking retirement for him, he could play there after a couple of years in Arsenal imo.

Nice Sevilla, they tied with Sociedad and Villareal although it still lacks 2 more games and jumped over Barca which failed against Eibar (1-1)... Barca is doing its best to make things easier for ATM and Real Madrid.

To be honest, I was quite surprised that Sevilla beat Villarreal, even though I predicted the result would end in a draw. But it turned out that
Sevilla could win the match convincingly, and made Sevilla move up to 4th in the table. Then Barcelona again wasted a point against Eibar's,
maybe Barcelona are not lucky because Martin Braithwaite missed a penalty and his goal was annulled in the 25th minute. This might have
caused Barcelona to mentally drop, and Eibar players took advantage by entering a goal first.

Fortunately Barcelona was able to equalize through Dembele's goal, but until the match ended Barcelona couldn't score another goal. And they
have to accept the results of the match ending in a draw, even though Barcelona should be able to beat Eibar with differences in the quality of

Things are not that worse at Barcelona; i believe the recent incidences has just been purple patches and rewards of proper long term recruitment. My only worry is if Ronald Koeman is cut out to taka Barcelona back to the top. With Messi open to leaving; what will be the future of Barcelona

Barcelona stumbles AGAIN ... a scenario that is not new, but is repeated every time Barca stumbles .The team wastes opportunities, receives a goal, then searches for a equalizer quickly and after that they are afraid of receiving a second goal or losing more points, so the game is lost

Barca staying away from top of the table and away even more of top 4.

If anyone had taken that bet, they'd be smiling right now, Barcelona were able to equalize and the draw is what they'll have to settle for unfortunately, It wasn't a bad game if you ask me, and a win wouldn't have been undeserved.

In the end, it's yet another setback towards the title challenge, I've probably given up on any possibility of Barcelona winning it anyways.

This doesn't come as a surprise to me. Barcelona are surely doomed this season. They had golden opportunities to put this game under the wraps early in the first half only because Braithwaite is unable to score? To think he was thought to be Suarez's replacements makes it feel like a joke. Dembele just made it level again with around 19 minutes of playing time left. Greizman was wasteful as usual. Good thing he was replaced.

I saw this coming for a while now. Diego Costa had fallen out of favour at Atlético this season so its only right that he finds another club where his services would be needed and appreciated.

Diego Costa just can't seem to keep a cool head wherever goes, can he ? There are probably some sort of controversy about this, as I don't expect any club to mutually terminate a contract of over 50 Million Euro before it runs out, while the transfer window is only few days away.

It's been quite an interesting game, without Messi and Barcelona should have taken the lead earlier in the half. They really need to win this to keep a reasonable distance from the league leaders.

The coach should have played Coutinho from the start of the match to make their attacking line more attractive. Without Messi in the game, I think a player like Coutinho can play more freely than usual. But unfortunately he only filled the bench for the first half. I hope he plays in the second half, braithwaite is very disappointing because his penalty failed.

I hope Barcelona can create the score in second half. They must win the game and go up to top 4 today at standings .
