Barcelona are going to play a home match against Eibar next Tuesday. They have had a really good performance recently. They haven't lost in the league for 4 matches. They got 3 wins and 1 draw. The players have started playing more focused and hungry for win. Eibar have had a really bad form lately. They haven't won a game for 4 matches. I think that Barcelona will continue their series and win this match easily.

It seems that we have finally learned the secret of Real's recovery and better results in the last few games  Grin
According to this article in Marca, https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/12/26/5fe71a6346163f85808b45dc.html the secret seems to be that Zidane started listening to the advice of his main players, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Casemiro.
At another club it would be the beginning of chaos but at Real it seems to be working right now.
Zidane is a real football strategist, he was great when playing and IMHO he is even greater as a coach. Listening is an art that very few people exercise these days and that is the most important thing to do when we need to take rational decisions.
Well done, Zinedine Wink

Well depending from the rhythm of the matches, the national and international ones for both Real Madrid and national teams, players may become exhausted and rotation might be necessary to avoid injuries. Anyway, they know what they should do and it is good to see them getting good results again Smiley

Barcelona has a decent number of young talent, either grown from the team itself or bought from outside, but the older generation makes them miss games with age, remember that period between 2008 and 2012? Those were the years Barcelona was the best team in the world, and even though that is a great situation, if you were an 18-19 year old kid on early days you would be 22-23 by the end, and not play a single A team game as well, was harder.

Same logic here, players like Ansu Fati, Pedri, de jong and so forth are all young, but there are also players like busquets and messi and alba and so forth who are 30+ years old that takes up roster spot which makes younger players not get enough minutes. I am sure even messi and co retires in the end, we are going to have a great Barcelona and never will drop too much, thanks to young players they raised and transferred.
Replacing everyone will not work in any case. Barcelona has talented players, but they are unlikely to be able to replace Busquets, Messi or Pique now or in a year. Barcelona has not yet been able to find replacements for Inieste and Xavi, although quite a long time has passed. The decline will be logical. It will take a long time to work and be patient to regain the great Barcelona. Can the fans survive the long period without trophies?

Although Real is just gaining shape and at the end of the season, everything may change.
It is matchday 15, there are still many matches remaining till the end of the season, surely everything cannot be predictable. Real and Atletico are leading the table now, but who knows in the next few weeks/months. Every cub performance may change anytime. If they cannot keep their good form, there is a chance for them to fall down, for example Real Sociedad.

Almost team get difficulty at this moment on January until February because they have many match and exactly for champion league team, they will faced moment where have to make all player keep fighting with many game in a week, maybe will make clubs on the top position league right now have any other player and January window transfer opening which one club get new player, although pandemic crisis make many clubs not have any income from supporter and try good way how to make keep effective to get winner in domestic league or champion league.

It seems that Atlético and Simione have seriously decided to fight for the championship this season. Barcelona looks weak this season and Real Madrid with Atlético have already made a handicap from third place (Atletico has two more unplayed games). Although Real is just gaining shape and at the end of the season, everything may change.
The gap is getting bigger and Barca is kinda out of the race regarding the actual performance and without Messi (if ever there was a surprise mid-season) it may become harder for them. Anyway everything is possible and a comeback isn't 100% excluded
Now ATM is doing well, Real Madrid managed to improve quite well too, it will be intense this season between them Wink

There was a match between Real Betis and Cadiz last Wednesday. Cadiz lost their last two matches in the league before this match. They didn't want to give up easily here. Real Betis were so dominant in the match. Cadiz got some chances to score too but they couldn't. Real Betis managed to score in the last 30 minutes of the match and got the win.

.....
I think Modric is determined to end his career at Real and doesn't want to go to another club.
The club can't sell a player against his will which was well seen in the case of Bale.
This will certainly not happen here because both fans and journalists are putting a lot of pressure on the management to extend the contract with Modric.
Unless you can show me the contract between the player and the company that they can't sell anyone against their will, I still stand by my previous comment. Again, no player is expendable and no fans or journalists can stop what the board will do. If another team offers $100 million for Modric, Real Madrid will most likely sell and buy a younger player who is equally talented to replace him.

....
I can understand why Real Madrid board decided to sell Modric, because Modric is 35 years old, which is already an old for football player.
You mean "if" and not "why"? He wasn't sold yet.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
Pedri is talented enough, no one should doubt about this. But I think he is not suitable for the Barcelona team yet. I watched the Barcelona match with Valladolid. Pedri got many chances in this match but did not succeed. I think he needs more practice.

I believe that we all agree that Pedri is a player with great potentials but I don't think that he needs more practice, rather than a more standard role and playing time. Barca is one of the world-class teams and every year expectations are huge. This alone creates a big pressure on youngsters, especially the ones that been tagged as wonderkids/ future stars. IMO it would be great to loan him out, at least for 1 year, to another team but not in a different league.

What do you guys think of Pedri who apparently became the next Barcelona star? Ronald Koeman said he earned his place in the team and now Barça supporters hope this new midfielder can start a great career. I like the way he plays, he has a lot of margin to become a champion.

I don't think Real Madrid or any of the team would have a principle or strategy of insulting or treating it's players in a bad way. Real Madrid had been reigning the top position in the league and a consistence penetration into the UEFA league for many years now. And with current team, they have achieved more with whatever they have and Luka Modric has been the heart of it. The association is mutually beneficial as he's now been considered a leading figure in a top team.
He is an old player and will lose his good form. Some players will join Real Madrid and take over the position of Modric and with all bad records of Real Madrid's treatments on their legendary players, I bet Modric will be put on the transfer market or let go as a free player.

Real Madrid tried to replace Modric with Eden Hazard but the result is bad. Hazard got many injuries and has never shown his best form in Bernabeu after the transfer from Chelsea.

It's very difficult to replace such a player as Modric.
Real  tried with Hazard but it failed.
I agree,  he is old player but Benzema or Ronaldo are not younger players and they are still the main and irreplaceable players in their clubs.
Modric doesn't play because of old merits but because he is better than other players.
I think he wants to end his career at the next world cup and then stay at Real in some other function.

Hazar and Modric play in different positions. Edegor is now being prepared for the position of Modric in Real Madrid, but I think nothing will come of it. You can try Pogba, but he has a bad character. Modric is a modest guy who does his job accurately.

Madrid has a more stable team performance than Barcelona this season, but Madrid will still be under Atletico Madrid, which in fact still has 3 games less which is likely to produce 9 points more than now if they win. I believe that when an attacker or player is very productive to score in every game then the game will feel easier to win.
You're right. Real Madrid is now much more stable than Barcelona. Karim Benzama is in the squad to score. Although Real Madrid rely heavily on Benzema to score, though they have skilled players like Modrich in their midfield. There are first-class defenders like Ramos to handle the defense. Overall the team is much stable.

Real Madrid has been stable and their players stable, only that Jovic, Hazard, Rodrigo, vincius and Madrid no 7 has been unfit, injured or misfiring on all cylinders. Where barcelona meanwhile has just had an unstable team, a new coach, newly groomed academical players and unhappy squad. It remains to be see how the title challenge will be come March 2021
Now Barcelona is a totally unstable team. A new coach in the team. He is still experimenting with the team. We are seeing different strategies in different matches. On the other hand, Suarez has been transferred from Forward line, and two skilled players like Rakitich and Vidal have been transferred from Midfield. As a result, the team is more restless now with new coaches and players.

Yeah, it is unavoided, he is already an old player even his performance still good. When Real Madrid management plans for the future, he is probably not on the priority list anymore. Also, Real Madrid may have a problem with his salary, it always increases year after year. If any offers from other clubs with good prices, I also can understand if selling him is the best decision.
