That's right, I'm glad to see them playing like that too. Either way, I really hope all teams can give it their best shot, despite the crazy year we and they are having. For me, Atletico will still be in first place, but you know how it is, anything can happen.

They just have to keep winning and improving with each passing game if they're serious about winning the title because Real Madrid is already picking up form and it wouldn't be too long before they take the number one spot on top of the table.  It would be interesting to see them go ahead and win the Spanish title just as they did during the 2013/2014 season. La liga has been heavily dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid in the last six years. It's time we see someone else win it.

Against Alavés, I don't think Atlético Madrid will have many problems. They have won all the last games by tearing their opponents, except for Real. In my opinion they will play just as well but I prefer not to have too many expectations, otherwise I'll bring bad luck.

Yes, Alaves can't possibly pose much of a threat from the look of things but then Athletico Madrid isn't exactly the kinda team that always come through when you think they should. However, Atlético is currently tie at the top of the La Liga table with Real Madrid so I expect them to get all 3 points and extend their lead on the table. I'm glad to see them contesting for the title this season as both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been poor this season.

Atletico Madrid are going to play a home game against Getafe this week. They are the leader now and they share the same points with Real Madrid. They had a really nice performance on their last matches. They lost just one of their last five matches and that one was to Real Madrid. Getafe are not on their best form now and they got just one win on their last five matches. In my opinion, Atletico Madrid will take advantage of playing home and win this easily.

Sevilla are going to play against Villarreal tomorrow evening. I think that it will be an enjoyable match. We are going to watch two close teams clash. Sevilla have a better form than Villarreal now. Villarreal won just one of their last five matches. In my opinion, this will be a very balanced match and it will end in a draw (like 1-1).

It's official Leo Messi ruled out the game against Eibar on December 29th. Eibar is one of his favorite opponent and for Messi in LaLiga he could easily grab his first hat-trick for 2020/21. BTW! I wish him for quick recovery on his ankle injury.
too bad for Barcelona and their fans, but i think the match against Eibar is really important for Barca to show that they can win without counting on Messi to do everything for them.
it has been an abnormal season all year long with almost all players struggling with fitness levels here and there; If Koeman indeed wants to succeed at Barcelona then they should be able to defeat eibar easily even without Messi; Messi will come good; class is permanent, form is temporary.
On the one hand, it is a sin not to use the gift of fate when you have a player like Messi, but you should not completely depend on him even in matches with weak opponents, because Leo may not be in the mood, not in shape or with an injury like now. Moreover, it is not clear whether Messi will be in Barcelona next season or not. On the one hand, Leo says that he is communicating with Guardiola, on the other hand, he promised not to negotiate with other clubs until the end of the season.
at the end, when Messi leaves, it's going to be a loss for Barcelona, and La liga as a whole, a lot of none spanish viewers watch and started watching La liga just because of Messi and Ronaldo, after they're both gone, the viewers will also go with them.

Messi not only become the icon for Barcelona but also Messi is the way how to make La Liga most popular in the world and many watcher just favorite Messi in La Liga after loss opportunity with Cristiano Ronaldo on Real Madrid. so far still not have good news will Messi extended in Barcelona few season again or Messi have planning to Man city for the next season. I think will have impact after Barcelona have new president what they will do keep Messi playing for Barcelona or leave and play for other club. Maybe still have six months later for Barcelona keep faith for Messi stay on Barcelona because without Messi many Barcelona fans will disappointed.

Quite a blow for Bareclona, but I'm hoping he wouldn't be out for too long, and on the bright side Barcelona next few games are against weaker teams so Barcelona couldn't have preferred his injury to come at a better time than this.

I never heard anything about Ramos, does he have a problem with the Club as well? We know about Messi, he had a problem with the president, now that president is gone I don't know whats going to happen but he was adamant about leaving, and he even had talks with City as well, which would have been awesome to see, City is already a great team and with Messi they would have been fighting with Liverpool for the top spot and made Premier League so much more fun.

However I never heard anything about Ramos, is he unhappy with the club as well? Does he want to leave as well? If that Is the case that would be a news to me, I didn't know that. I think Ramos could do anything, it Is a new info to me, but Messi looks like he may stay now that the president is gone, his problem was with the office and now that office changed, I think he may decide to stay instead.
Ramos is old enough for Real Madrid that they would him to sign only a renewable one year contract afaik. Of course this isn't good for Ramos who can continue performing good for another one or maybe two years but risk to drop in performance later and will be kicked. He wants a longer contract which is justified imo. Madrid policy is like that and they don't want to make an exception so...
This is a resume from an article that I read few weeks ago so I dunno how far the negotiation are actually. I just heard that Modric, who is old too, will likely sign another contract for Real Madrid so maybe they will find a solution for the king too?

I agree with you, it is best that Messi and Ramos move out of La Liga. Because both of them deserve a new challenge, and provide opportunities
for young players at Barcelona and Real Madrid. After all, both have entered an old age, it must be admitted that his game was not as good as
the years before. And also both of them have sizable salaries, by releasing Messi and Ramos could at least reduce the burden on the club.
I hope that won't happen to Messi and Barcelona. The presence of Messi in the team is not a barrier for other talented players to show their talents to the world. As always, Messi's presence in the team has given talented young players quality mentors and they have plenty of time to learn. So I think Messi is not just a player on the team, but his presence makes the team even more excited. Likewise with Ramos at Real Madrid.

Still not have any confirmation will Messi, Ramos and many bigger player in La Liga the contract is over and not have any extended from their club, I think Messi and Ramos become the icon for La Liga and give bad reputation if both player move to other club from La Liga, have any serious close to both player Messi and Ramos how to make them keep become Barcelona player for Messi and Real Madrid team for Ramos, if both player try to other league maybe not make La Liga looks interested again after loss Cristiano Ronaldo before.
I would be happy if Messi and Ramos move to another league. Both are very talented players in their own position. I think they can adapt to any team. But losing these two players would further weaken the power of Barcelona and Real Madrid. That's what I want. If they play another club, then La Liga will be more competitive.

It seems that we have finally learned the secret of Real's recovery and better results in the last few games  Grin
According to this article in Marca, https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/12/26/5fe71a6346163f85808b45dc.html the secret seems to be that Zidane started listening to the advice of his main players, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Casemiro.
At another club it would be the beginning of chaos but at Real it seems to be working right now.
Zidane is a real football strategist, he was great when playing and IMHO he is even greater as a coach. Listening is an art that very few people exercise these days and that is the most important thing to do when we need to take rational decisions.
Well done, Zinedine Wink
The concept of "listening to the players 'opinion" from "following the players 'instructions" is slightly different Wink When the head coach has no authority, and the whole game is based on the opinion of the leading players, then in the end it can lead to disaster, because the head coach should be the last authority making the decision, not the players. But all this does not apply to Zidane, who has already earned an unquestionable authority throughout his previous career as a player and who can influence any player with his authority, while listening to the opinion of his subordinates.
Of course, those two listening typologies are completely different like you correctly explained. We agree that the stupid one does not apply to Zidane, he has built such a great authority throughout is manager career that he understands when the time is right to sit back and talk with his players. Other managers would have been eaten alive already.

Except for Casemiro, the other 3 are senior plays who have spent a great deal of years at the club and gone through different coaches, so it would be understandable to chip in their pieces of advice to the coach though I have doubts Zidane will stay longer at Real Madrid. He's not being given what he wants especially the players he wants to sign like Pogba.

Zidane is a football legend and has also achieved great results with Real as a coach.
He certainly has a lot more credit than many other Real coaches in the past so I don't think his coaching position is compromised.
Taking advice from players are also a sign of his greatness rather than weakness.
Sometimes management can't meet all the coach's requirements and that's normal.
