Messi had a lot of easy chances in yesterday’s match but he gave other players a chance, he wanted to assist. His mentality of collaborating with other players is strong. I have seen such mentality in very few players. This is why I like Messi so much. It seems that the Barcelona team is preparing themselves well. They are now ready to face any tough opponent.

Atletico stumbled too much in their last games. If they continue like this, they can miss the chance of being the champions this season. Villarreal are a very hard opponent this season but they are out-of-form now. To be able to pull themselves together, I think Atletico will manage to beat them.

What happens when you catch your enemy in a game is what Barcelona did to Sevilla today. After noting that Sevilla where on there way to staying top, Barcelona had to do all they could to ensure they make Sevilla drop point, even Lionel Messi got a yellow card while the Sevilla team was flooeded with yellow. Now, the Barca team can only hope that Real Madrid do loose there next game for them to remain second on the Laliga table.

Why do you think he hasn't left even with all of this? Because he doesn't care about money at all. If he cared about money he could have go to another place and he could have gotten a lot more money, in fact if he left to some Arabic nation like how his friend Xavi did, he could have gotten so much money that in 5 years there he could make more money there total then he made in all of Barcelona (ok this could be a bit overblown) and he was wanted by City, do you think City can't afford to pay him a lot of money? They could have offered him money that would be at least as much as Barcelona offers if not more.

This is why I think it is obvious that Messi didn't cared about the money and stayed in Barcelona because that's his team, he was here when he was just a tiny little kid and he has been here for that much time and in order to leave that team there needs to be something bigger than just more money offered.

Messi could prolly not be having the best of seasons, but I'm pretty sure he has got dignity and is definitely not still a Barcelona player cause of the money he earns. Messi's wages are enormous, but the thing is that he can earn around that amount and prolly even slightly higher if he moves to a different team. Lionel has given his best to Barcelona, so have the club done the same for him, he was in the past expected to finish his career at the camp nou, but it's only due to hierarchical decay that he reconsidered that decision, and not cause he's having a bad season.

I suppose the key consideration is that a terrible season for Messi would still be a wonderful season for anyone else. The standards he has set over the years are so remarkable, but we have just grown used to them. A 'terrible' season for Messi means simply that his performances have slipped from the miraculous to the merely brilliant. This season's La Liga top scorers:

The quoted sentence is interesting but I don't believe that Messi can see enough reasons to stay in Barcelona. Bring Joan Laporta back and hope for a magic from his convince to Messi. It is the only hope if Messi feels convincing with Laporta plans and think he owed something from Laporta.

@hd49728 this is nothing but a face saving PR stunt by Barcelona, because behind the scenes they want him gone because of his wages. Also the only decision for Messi is to decide whether he wishes to play for PSG and connect with Neymar again, or head to Manchester City, and be reunited with Pep.
