I think the points difference only tells part of the story. Recent form is the key factor. A few weeks ago I was saying that no-one could catch Atletico. That has really changed now. Atletico were winning everything and other teams were dropping points all over the place... but now Atletico look like they're stumbling whilst the other top teams have become remorselessly consistent. The way it's going, you can see that by say 27 or 28 games played, Atletico might no longer be top.

It is unlikely that there will be drastic changes. The presidential candidates all want to keep Messi in the team. The team has no money and a lot of debts. I guess it should be a tough match for Barcelona. Sevilla will have a chance to pass Barcelona for 3rd position if they can beat Barcelona at home. Not only because Sevilla will play at home, but look at the last 5 matches done by Sevilla, they got 3 points for all matches. This means Sevilla has everything to beat Barcelona this time. Sevilla players have good motivation to win and they are in good performance now. Let's see what Barcelona players can do at this match.

Remember how many times he saved Real Madrid with his trips to the opponent's penalty area in the last minutes or with his dirty but selfless actions.

Currently, it is only 5 points away from Atletico but Atletico still have one match that hasn't been completed, say he won to 8 points then this is also for Barcelona, of course it needs a great struggle apart from Madrid which is now difficult to overtake I think candidate 1- 4 will get tighter for the points chase with a few matches remaining.

Madrid staff doesn't seem to be in urge to renew his contract and Zidane is the only? one pushing in his favor to stay. In few months he will be free from any contract and may move to another team (PSG...)

I would actually put it down to March, next month, when they will have something that looks like a full squad. Usually players like Ramos return much earlier than expected, that's all about their drive and motivation. We had Messi and Suarez also always coming back for us at Barca before predicted.

But yeah, from now to then, others can also get injured. Bad luck and covid I guess.

This one of hardest games to predict the result. Both teams have been great in the league lately. Sevilla beat Barcelona in a Copa Del Rey game, 2-0. I wonder whether they can do it again. There will be a competitive game surely. I expect a draw.

They must do somthing good in this match because this will give em a good spirited boost before the seconde leg...i believe barcelona can easly recover the 2 goals and pass to the final
