I can't wait to see what Real Sociedad will do against Atletico Madrid on the 22nd. It's a match that I think will give us many surprises. Despite the fact that Real's last few games have gone pretty bad, I don't think they'll give up easily.
Barcelona has been on a path of self-destruction for the last 3 or 4 years and needs radical changes to return to the paths of old glory.
They need a new and capable club leadership, they need to recover financially but most importantly they need to finally start preparing for the post-Messi era.

I know I shouldn't say this but I actually laughed when I read this. Messi dyed/bleached his hair in that season and I thought to myself, damn why did he do that? Path of self destruction indeed and terrible Champions League exits ever since, but you know what, this time we meet PSG and have a chance to redeem ourselves against the guys who can never get past Semifinals;)
I think the main problem for Barcelona is that the players are not ready to take responsibility and look for Messi in every situation.
That is why there is too much pressure on Messi and the rivals already know that it is crucial for them to stop Messi and that half the work is done with it.
Mutual relationships between the players in the team are very bad which also affects the results.
Real Madrid is fully participating again. atletico was quite far ahead, but lost the mutual match and is now starting to drop stitches. will surely be barcelona or real madrid that will be champion

They had a really good form before that. They are at third position in the league. But they have too many important players who are injured now. Atletico Madrid have been doing quite nice. Joao Felix won't be able to play in this match because of his injury. He scored 5 goals in his 12 matches in the league. But I think Atletico Madrid will exploit the Real Sociedad's current condition and win this match.
both teams prefer more defending than attacking so total under 2.5 goals is a good bet for this match. if Atletico loses points in this match Real Madrid would have a good chance to take the first spot in the La Liga table.

Sevilla and Valencia are teams of about the same level. I think a draw will be a fairer result of this match.

Thanks for the detailed post which gives many insights about the match between RS and AM. I would also put my money on Atlético Madrid this time as I do not see RS being able to oppose them these days. With odds like 2.44 I believe it can give a nice multiplier to a well-researched bet-slip.

With Madrid looking to score another goal to secure the tie. i think madrid has enough to win and the match should end 4 -2 in favor of real madrid.
The match ended Eibar 1-3 Real Madrid. Benzema once again scoring 1 goal and creating assists for the other 2 goals and reducing the pressure on his boss. I think it's becoming more and more clear that Real Madrid Minus Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos tend to struggle a lot.Teams are coming to their right level at this moment. Real Madrid is likely to come as the champion just like they were last year. But with another poor league from Barcelona and eventual transfer out of Messi, Barcelona would be in much more trouble at the end of this league.
Seeing the way Messi voted and what the potential new president said, I believe Messi is getting closer to PSG. In this case, Barca will struggle to get a post in CL next year..

It's a crazy time for La Liga really. The big two are not so big now and have never looked so vulnerable in the last decade. And to think they have billions worth of talent between the two. I'm still not over how crap we are, the Valencia draw was just well. I said before we should just focus on UCL and this latest result just solidifies my opinion.
@slaman29 indeed times have changed in La Liga, but in this particular match Ramos got really lucky when the ball touched his arm, and the referee decided not to punish him. Furthermore Benzema is playing on another level, and we have discussed about his performances earlier too, but I feel that he deserves a special praise for scoring and assisting in this match, and helping Real Madrid secure another three vital points.

It is obvious that Barcelona is not great with transfers, they rarely ever make a big transfer that works well for them, and whenever they do that, it is usually for a big name anyway. I haven't seen Barcelona make a transfer that is very small amount that turned out to be a great player. They usually either have players that was raised from their youth teams which I still think is one of the best if not the best in the world, or they just buy players like Neymar straight up and since they are good players they just fit right in.
Someone they bought for 5 million that became big name is not really that common at all. They also spent sooooo much money on horrible players, all turned out to be nothing at all, I just can't believe they have wasted so much money in bad transfers as well. This is Barcelona we are talking about, they will get back to dominating eventually but it looks like it is going to take some time.

Betis are so bad this year and they have a super squad who can easily fight for top 5 and yet they're at in the middle of LaLiga. They are down 2-0 since the 1st 20 minutes against Granada and I can't see them coming back into this game.

Eibar had been performing quite impressive with even the top teams with a win over Sevilla and a draw with Real Sociedad, they would be in a good morale. But real Madrid too have stepped up it's game recently and they'd be difficult to contain. Eibar would have a home advantage and they make try to play a defensive game for a draw. Real Madrid would be without Eden Hazard, Vinicius and Isco. While Eibar would now miss Burgos while Enrich and others are still not in team.
