hmph..
NO. I don't think this will happen, especially about how much Inter should pay to bring in a special player like Messi.
So far, Messi contract in Barcelona is still unclear. If the player still does not extend the contract, and still upset with the executive interfered Barcelona player transfers, it looks like this could happen. If Barcelona failed to renew the contract, then it is likely they will start letting Messi go next season rather than go with a free transfer.

NO. I don't think this will happen, especially about how much Inter should pay to bring in a special player like Messi. Messi is like a Barcelona icon, yep he is the soul of Barcelona team for years. I am not sure Barcelona management will decide a worse thing by put Messi on the transfer list. It will risk the future team, reduce the popularity of Barca + instantly decreasing much on the team strength. In addition, we all know that Messi has indebted to Barcelona as it saved him from a rare disease when he was a kid. I assume it is also a big reason why he always stayed in Barcelona.

@EdenHazard I'm trying to quote you but the whole work is messed up. You can't judge any team by the few matches they played in after the break. A lot of these players had fears withing them, they had given up already. Let's assume Barcelona would be Aston Villa without Leo, Madrid felt the same impact of Ronaldo's absence in the first season, I'm glad they've restructured their team with the help of Zidane.
I go with the ideaologies of those who believe strongly in Barcelona's deform when Messi leaves; it's a bad thing to build your entire team on a single player. He has since been there for over 15 years bossing the whole team, let's see how things unfold for them in the coming match against Napoli.
Ahhha np, i got u.
Makes sense. I'm not judging directly.. i mean i just can see how the players mood getting worse and worse even messi himself who rarely celebrated the freekick goal in anger , cranky.
He seems knows the whole team are playing like shit and he can't see his beloved team playing like that in case he have to retired or leaving.
Anw the transfer exit saga of messi would be a beneficial for a lot of people , there will be a new business created during the process and of course the media will get mad!
I'd like to see that happen instead he retired there.

Messi’s transfer would be beneficial for a lot of people. even Messi can earn a lot of money. but I think it is a great honor for Messi to retire from Barcelona. because you know, Messi did not change clubs in his entire career. he started his career from Barcelona and will ended here. so, I think it's a lot more honorable. and the Barcelona club will honor Messi with a lifetime of respect.
We have many big names in this list in past but now there is nothing dignity for this as most of new generation players want more money so they change clubs very quickly I want Messi stay in Barcelona until end of his career because he is really legendary player and need to live with this honor hopefully he will announces about this in near future.

First of all Messi will not go to any other club, dude was basically born here (I know not literally but close) and has always been here and become who he is here as well. I do not see him change, the owner can change, the general manager can change, coach can change, but Messi will not, he is the core of Barcelona and won't move anywhere. If he is not happy with Barcelona, he will get rid of people who makes him sad instead of leaving.

But, let's assume he could be sent away like any regular player, dude will not require anything remote to 800 million or whatever, if you want to transfer him, offering 100-150 million will be more than enough. If I was Inter and I had that chance and money for it, I would do it, even if not for success which would come, but for the chance to finally break Juventus championship streak and also Messi versus Ronaldo is epic anyway.

I agree that Messi will not move from Barcelona, because for Messi Barcelona is his birthplace. Because Barcelona made Messi
as it is today, and there is no question about Messi's loyalty to Barcelona. I hope the owner, manager and coach of Barcelona
could change mind not to sell Messi to Inter.

since match between La Coruna and Fuenlabrada is postponed due to corona outbreak in Fuenlabrada team, all play-off matches in Segunda are postponed, and it will be interesting how the third team from Segunda will be choosen for next La liga season, they need four matches to play in play-off, and one more between La Coruna and Fuenlabrada before next La liga season, and there is no start date at the moment
Well, situation looks very complicated. I read that there is 28 confirmed cases in Fuenlabrada team, so it's not likely that they will be able to play soon. And main problem that there is not that much time left until new season and we still don't know last team playing in La Liga and who have to prepare for season in Segunda. And judging from articles in press, La Liga and football federation have no idea what decision they should make.

I think its not about Messi versus others type of situation right now, its not really that much easy to fix. Just because you send Messi, a great player, you will not become a good team, that makes no sense at all, you are getting rid of your best player and you think that will make you better?

What needs to happen is that Barcelona needs money, and it needs money a lot, we are talking about 100+ million dollars, and that could only happen if they sell some of their players and none of their players worth that much, almost all of them are role players that fill a position.

So what can they do? They can forget about success for 2-3 years, play players like Ansu Fati type of players and they can grow to become a better player that way, they could get rid of all the players they are not playing at the bench and fill it with young players and give them a lot more chances. Not because they will use them in the future, if they are good they will use them but if not, they are going to have a lot of money saved and they can buy any player they want.

Well, the reform is going to be hard but it needs to happen.
Messi is now very important and strongly bonded to the whole team, maybe more than the manager of the team. But the change needs to happen... Barcelona needs to sell him for their own good...

Barcelona needs to learn how to play without Messi so getting rid of him at this early stage before it gets too late will be better for the team and him. But the question still remains valid and very important have they been able to find a perfect replacement for him yet?

his demise from the club will cost them a lot we've seen that in most of the matches he could feature in.

A player like Messi would be hard to be replaced. It's going to be like how Real Madrid lost their magic for a while after Ronaldo's move to Juventus. I've imagined that scenario a lot of times but then, I remember that Barcelona would never let go of Messi. He's the best they have had in decades.

Sure you could say 'it's just about buying a house'...  But these are hints like Mou buying a home at London indicating he would go back to manage Chelsea, he did.  Pep learning German during his sabbatical indicating he would manage a German club, he did with Bayern.

True that. However, that isn't always the case. Conte already said it's very unlikely that Inter would be able to get Messi's signature. Moreover, I don't see Barcelona letting go of Lionel Messi anytime soon.
Real madrid without ronaldo seems just fine but yeah there's a mess for a couple months but things get backup and they are now in superb form .. we'll see it when they beat Manchester City in the second leg of champions league as they are down 1-2 at bernabeu which it's a big challenge.

A lot of people says that Barcelona without messi could be the next ac milan who has no future successor , well so far they are struggling financially, making too much transfer flop and next season could be the real nightmare.

Expecting Barcelona to suffers alot of losses and draw is just getting closer to reality if you take a look to how they played in the last few matches, terrible.

I think Messi's refusal to sign a new contract is because of what's happening at Barcelona and he needs change. If the management and owners of Barcelona want to keep him, then they have to put those changes in place. This is similar to what happened with Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid back in 2018. However, This isn't the first time that Messi has been rumored to leave Barcelona. It's always settled at the end of the day. It would be interesting to see Messi play in a team other than Barcelona but I'm not sure we'll see that happen.

Maybe at the later stage of his football career currently all are just gimmicks to keep the media fed with information and keep the fans glued to the news too. I don't think Barcelona would be fit without Messi, his demise from the club will cost them a lot we've seen that in most of the matches he couldn't feature in. So, even if it means increasing his salary ×2 of the current earnings they would risk it for him.

Life, Love and Laughter...
In case you guys didn't know, Messi's dad bought a house at Milan.  So it's def possible that he's moving to Inter maybe not this year but next year on a free transfer.

I would be very happy if Messi will play in Man-City. If he does then Man-City will be more powerful. but so sad that, end of the day these are all rumors. I think Messi will play in Barcelona until the end of his career. Actually, Messi's career is almost over now, so now changing teams will not be pleasant for him, because it takes a long time to adjust to a new team.

It would be really weird for me to see him play for ANY team, but I guess I could live with it if he goes abroad. Seeing him in another Spanish team would feel really really weird for me. I know he's too good to do a Luis Figo but I dunno, I hope it's not City or another rich team. He won't take long to adjust, he's a really special player but I hope he plays for something other than medals, maybe make a small team famous and get a good run to some campaign:)

Could Barcelona soon have a big shock and the earthquake, the departure of Messi?
It seems that the Italian media, judging by this article, https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2020/07/25/5f1bff5c46163ff5298b45d1.html  firmly believe that Messi could join Inter.
~snip~
Although the opportunity for Inter to play UCL is very good, but they need huge funds for the age of messi. Look at transfermarkt.com. The current market value is Messi
€ 112.00 million, already down € 68.00 million from prices around 2018. They have also given a release clause to Messi around € 700.00 million. So maybe Inter will have to pay € 812.00 million to Barcelona. Going to Inter Milan is something that can happen, but seeing Messi in Barcelona,   I think it will be difficult. Even though Messi is 33 years old he is a regular player in Barcelona.

Inter has spent a lot this season. They bought Hakimi, Eriksen , Young, and lot of big players. I feel like they also are in financial situation similar to Barcelona but slightly better. Right now they are considering a swap deal in order to bring Alexis Sanchez on permanent to Inter Milan after Man United denied their loan extension move.

So Messi to Inter seems far from happening.

I agree with you. The main reason why others associate  Messi with Inter is his dissatisfaction in Barcelona and the fact that his father bought a house in Milan.
Of course this doesn't mean that Messi will leave Barcelona but these are topics that journalists like to write about 😀
