The match is over and Villareal won 2-0.
All eyes on Real Madrid for tomorrow's game vs Getafe but also for Villareal vs Barcelona this Sunday. So far Villareal didn't lose any game after the pause with only 1 draw vs Sevilla  Wink
I have watched how the Yellow army has been playing since the resumption of the league and to be honest, It's not going to be an easy match for Barcelona once again. Hopefully Real Madrid just do what they should tomorrow and win the match. How Barcelona Performs won't matter.

I still have questions about second Atletico penalty and I can't understand why they didn't even made VAR review.
Although happy to see Barca losing point, I have to agree that the penalty was a wrong decision and surprisingly no VAR on that decision. It was in no way a penalty. Now, the title is almost certain for Real. If they win next match against Getafe, it will be confirmed.

Plenty of games today, but i've added Betis vs Villareal to my parlay. I'm expecting goals so i'm going with BTTS (:
it seems Villarreal dominates the match...
I am currently watching the Betis vs Villarreal match and although the possession of the ball is dominated by Betis but their settlement is not good, Moreno has performed well in the first round by contributing 2 goals for Villarreal.

Slava Ukraini!
Sigh. We dominated, had so many shots, possession etc but Atletico reminded Barca of what they did against Liverpool and it worked too. 1 own goal and 1 penalty, Messi won't want to remember this 700th goal landmark at all, all that for 1 point.

Title is Real Madrid's to lose now.
Yeah, actually we didn't played bad yesterday, but it wasn't enough. I still have questions about second Atletico penalty and I can't understand why they didn't even made VAR review. Now everything is in Madrid hands. 2 next games against Getafe and Athletic will be crucial for them. If they will win both, there will be no doubts who will win league.

I am not entirely sure whats wrong with Barcelona, but they are not doing great not only right now but also not doing great for the future as well with weird transfers as well. I think they are not going to be proper team for a while. Every one of their players that matters became over 33 this year with most of the good ones over 30, and we are talking about getting another 30 year old and they are not even contending for championship this year anymore with how they are playing and getting bad results.

Anyone thinks this season was the officially start of the end for their messi era of awesomeness and they are going to have a big trouble for next certain amount of years and not going to be great anymore (by barcelona standarts, definitely top 3 in la liga) and will find their new system and players after certain years? Or will they just be like Madrid after Ronaldo and just continue to dominate?
Messi is still good and if there will be injuries, he still can play in top level for few years. But the problem is that Barca simply have no strategy for upcoming few years and our transfer policy shows it. You have good point about age of our key players, they are getting old and our board is failing to find replacement for them. It feels that our team is turning into joke like MU or Milan. Now I'm just waiting until president election next year and I hope that new board will move club in right direction.
And I just remind that Real struggled a lot during first season after Ronaldo departure. Same will happen after Messi era in Barcelona. It's impossible that teams after loss of best players in this century will remain in same level.

He made the right decision to get a transfer to Barcelona as Messi is going closer to leave Barcelona in the near future.
I think rhis is the first time that i've read someone praise Griezmann's decision of signing with Barcelona.

He needs to go, and he needs to do it ASAP...A player of his quality can't waste his career, especially during his peak, in a club where he's seen as a sub in the 90' min. We're talking about a guy who was in the top3 Ballon d Or nominees not too long ago.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Opportunities Real Madrid would be even greater if later Real Madrid always play consistently until the end of the season.
That's the problem with Real Madrid, no one can guarantee this even vs weak teams. They have to win vs Getafe and especially wait for draws or a defeat from struggling Barca.
This will be utilized for Real Madrid vs Getafe although we know Getafe is sometimes difficult to conquer and therefore Real Madrid will be consistent with their stance to continue to maintain at the top of the table until the end of the season.

Barcelona's turmoil will continue like that if they are not solid and it will be difficult for him to win.

But we know that Real Madrid coach Zidane always has principles in what they do in his strategy.

The time however is with Griezmann's side.
He made the right decision to get a transfer to Barcelona as Messi is going closer to leave Barcelona in the near future.
After that Griezmann is going to be the new leader of Blaugrana.
Nah don't think Messi will leave the gold mine easily. His contract will end 2021 and it will get extended for at least 2-3 years for sure. Even his skills drops he will not move and it is up to Griezmann to prove himself and wait..

I equally feel sorry for Barcelona fans, Under Setien, the team is so predictable to play against as long as you can organize your lines and play low block. I do not really rate Setien, since his arrival, his method of play has been to pass to the right, front, left, find Messi, if Messi is marked, go back and start passing all over again; to add to it that they are side way passes that does not threaten any defense at all.

Zidane and Madrid meanwhile will be relishing their match against Getafe today, a win and 3 goals will have Madrid go 3 points clear and additional Goal difference too. Also another interesting end to the league season.

This is the most simplified explanation as to why the transfer happened. It was all about money and how they can balance the books to avoid getting fuck by FFP.
I don't think it was anything to do with an urgent need for a good player. Pjanic will just be at Barca to warm the bench will his transfer sorts out Barcelona's troubles financially.

I think some of this trouble comes from their careless signing of Griezmann last transfer summer.
How do you sign a player for that amount only to be on bench against his former club within that very season. Bringing him on at 90th minutes was more of a mockery  Grin

I think Griezmann got exactly what he deserved after all. He was so cocky and behaving like complete idiot, that got him transfer to Barca and the destiny he is experiencing now. Messi is God in Barca and Griezmann won't see any light until he leaves the club.

Once again, Barcelona must share points with their opponents because the match ends in a draw. The sad thing is that before they were top of the table, but now they have to give up on Real Madrid because they are better. Speculation about a new coach will inevitably arise after a series of recent bad results.

I was doubtful from the start about stein, but whats the point because we all cant determine who should be the right coach and only club management decides. About who is next, then I still want a Barcelona coach who knows well about Barcelona is philosophy and can apply it.

After last match and another bad result for Barcelona I don't expect that Setien will remain coach in Barcelona.
I think that probably this or next week they will replace him with another coach,  probably Pimienta as reported yesterday by Catalan radio.
Barcelona now have chance only in 1 competition,  CL and can't wait any more.
They need someone who can change negative atmosphere around team,  someone who can bring new energy and spirit.
In the longer term I think Barcelona will choose Xavi as permanent solution.

Since being held to a draw by Celta Vigo, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone heard the news that there was a split in the Barcelona dressing room. the situation is certainly exploited by Atletico Madrid and it is proven they can draw against Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Opportunities Real Madrid would be even greater if later Real Madrid always play consistently until the end of the season.

I agree if Real Madrid can play consistently, it is not impossible to win La Liga. Especially seeing the results of his rival Barcelona's match
very bad, the last 2 matches Barcelona only able to play a draw. Even the last 5 matches Barcelona can only win as much as 2x. In contrast
to Real Madrid in the last 5 matches can win everything perfectly.

Looks like LaLiga champions will be Real Madrid in the end after the draw of Barcelona 2/2 against ATL Madrid after 8 years of waiting...so it was about time for Real to take at least 1 internal championship after so many UCL.

Even though I'm a fan lf Barcelona i also dont think they have any chance at coming back this season. If they won today, there was still a chance because Real has some tougher matches against Villarreal and Getafe but now Real would have to draw 2 matches for Barcelona to be able to tie them at points(considering both of them ein the rest of the matches). But this is the biggest chance Real had in the last couple seasons and i don't see how they could miss it,especially because the rest of their matches are pretty easy.

Taken from https://www.google.com/ about la Liga.

The result is as predicted, Barcelona should have a bad day if he faced Atletico Madrid with their current performance. Now, it is a big chance for Real Madrid to win the La Liga trophy. Even all the goals aren't normal goals (3P, 1OG), but it is more than enough to restrain Barcelona in second place.

Anyway, there is something curious in my view about the current performance of Barcelona. They cannot make more than 5 shots on target in the past two matches (Just recheck their total shots on target in "the match against Celta" and "the current match"). It is not the Barcelona style that I have known so far. I think this is the sign that Barcelona now cannot play effectively as usual. The coach should analyze what's happening in their midfield and forward.

Exactly, the way he behaved when he was pushing for the transfer away from Atletico Madrid wasn't smart at all. I guess karma caught up with him after all. This kind of reminds me about the Coutihno and Dembele moves to Barcelona. They all behaved in a cocky way, and they always never even go past 1 season before you hear that the club wants to replace/sell/loan them off.
And by the looks of things Griezmann has already dropped down the pecking order. Even kids link Ansu Fati right now seem to have a brighter future in the club than him.

No doubt about it Cheesy Coming in off the bench in 90th minute against your former team says a lot. Especially Fati coming in before him tells even more.

Don't get me wrong, Greizmann is a very good player, but he has such a shitty attitude and considers himself The man, which he clearly is not. This will cost him years. As I am writing this, this reminds me of the similar guy, he is much worse then Griezmann though, the guy from PSG, momma's boy Rabiot.
