I think Griezmann got exactly what he deserved after all. He was so cocky and behaving like complete idiot, that got him transfer to Barca and the destiny he is experiencing now. Messi is God in Barca and Griezmann won't see any light until he leaves the club.
Exactly, the way he behaved when he was pushing for the transfer away from Atletico Madrid wasn't smart at all. I guess karma caught up with him after all. This kind of reminds me about the Coutihno and Dembele moves to Barcelona. They all behaved in a cocky way, and they always never even go past 1 season before you hear that the club wants to replace/sell/loan them off.
And by the looks of things Griezmann has already dropped down the pecking order. Even kids link Ansu Fati right now seem to have a brighter future in the club than him.

No doubt about it Cheesy Coming in off the bench in 90th minute against your former team says a lot. Especially Fati coming in before him tells even more.

Don't get me wrong, Greizmann is a very good player, but he has such a shitty attitude and considers himself The man, which he clearly is not. This will cost him years. As I am writing this, this reminds me of the similar guy, he is much worse then Griezmann though, the guy from PSG, momma's boy Rabiot.

Looks like LaLiga champions will be Real Madrid in the end after the draw of Barcelona 2/2 against ATL Madrid after 8 years of waiting...so it was about time for Real to take at least 1 internal championship after so many UCL.

What I find curious on this game is that we had 3 penalties ( 1 re.taken as TerStegen was clearly with the foot outside the line ) and the fact that Messi has once again score agains them as he ATL Madrid is one of his favorite to score against to next to Real and Sevilla. Besides this , Diego Simeon proves that if he wants to make a good defense , even tiki.taka can't open it.

This is the most simplified explanation as to why the transfer happened. It was all about money and how they can balance the books to avoid getting fuck by FFP.
I don't think it was anything to do with an urgent need for a good player. Pjanic will just be at Barca to warm the bench will his transfer sorts out Barcelona's troubles financially.

I think some of this trouble comes from their careless signing of Griezmann last transfer summer.
How do you sign a player for that amount only to be on bench against his former club within that very season. Bringing him on at 90th minutes was more of a mockery  Grin

Oh, Barcelona...I'm expecting very turbulent times in Barca HQ. Btw, Carrasco MOTM, what a game! Also, Griezmann sub in the 90 min...wtf? lol

Any comments about the games tomorrow? we have a couple of interesting matches: Betis vs Villareal, and Valencia vs Bilbao, i'll add one of these to my parlay.

BTTS or Atletico X2 would be my picks...
Well? did anyone make some money?  Grin
This was good but sadly I am very late because my luck is not working as need to do but still have some time to catch next predictions hopefully these will also do some good work.

Exciting LA Liga games, we saw today, it was a goals galore, let start with the first game of the day
Mallorca vs celta Vigo 5:1 this was a not expected, a battling Mallorca team to win celta Vigo by five goals to one was an expected score line, but for neutral football loves this was one to watch.

The next game was
leganes vs sevilla 0:3 sevilla were three to nill winners in this one I did not expect them to lose going into this one an they did not let me down, and a good score line was an extra entertainment for there fans watching from home.

And the final match of the day,

Barcelona vs althletico Madrid 2:2  this was the big event match of the day, Barcelona not in there best form and am scared for the team. Since the return of the league, they have lost some spark -it had been fading even before the pandemic forced stop- Barcelona are handing over the title to arch rivals real Madrid with series of draws, I don't think real Madrid will slip up.

Penalty? WTF? How it's possible to give such penalty? Where is VAR? It's just ridiculous!
Hahaha there was a slight touch on Carraso's foot that led him to trip. I am enjoying the match thou. A loss or Draw for Barcelona will be good for Real Madrid

two penalty kicks in three minutes for Atletico, do not remember seeing something similar lately, did not scored first one (Costa missed penalty after own goal, what can get worse tonight?), but second one yes, so result is 1:1
It could have worse for Costa tonight If it wasn't for that second chance of Penalty that was then scored by Saul Niguez  Grin
Barcelona will have to really dig so deep to win this Match.

how many goals will have in that game today?  Grin

Celtra scored six two rounds ago, match at home, so they will conceive at least six on the island Smiley it is as simple as it can be

lol'd at this simple explanation  Tongue
I am shocked for real for such results, didn't thought they will lose in the first place but the worst scenario won't be with 5 goals either!!
Now for the other games Sevilla is leading with 2 goals 47' which is expected. For Barca and ATM 0-0 7'

Tonight is crucial game for us. Loss or draw would mean that we have no real chances to become champions. I'm worried before the game, Atletico looks good after quarantine, though they achieve difficult wins in their usual style. On the other hand, we are really good at home this season, lost just 2 points in total so far.
In other game, Mallorca is trashing Celta 5:1 at 65 minute. Did anyone expected this, especially after last Celta game with Barca?

Just checked my bookie and saw Barcelona to WIN @1.89!! wut? Shocked when was the last time you saw such odds for Barca?
Week ago when we played with Sevilla Smiley.

I feel tempted with the Odds, really! but I'd rather just watch the match with no financial emotions attached, had the team been playing more convincingly, It would have bee a different case for me.

I finally understand the reasons behind this transfer. I did some digging and now everything makes sense. It is as always because of money, to be more accurate to play around UEFA Financial Fair Play.

When the clubs buy the player whole transfer fee is amortized trough all the years he signed the contract. For example if you buy a player for 100M and he signs the contract for 5 years, that means that you have an expenditure of 20M in each of those 5 years. Now comes interesting part, if you sell a player whole transfer fee is counted immediately.

If you didn't notice Barcelon paid Juve 60 M Eur for Pjanic and Juve paid Barca 80M EUR for Arthur. Why didn't Juve just paid 20M and they exchanged the players? Well of course, because of the Financial Fair play. This way both clubs will finish the year in positive and avoid sanctions.

I will run the numbers for Juve here, they bought Arthur for 80M and he signed a 5 year deal. That means they have actually spent 16M this year while they sold Pjanic for 60M. That means they have actually "earned" 44M EUR in this transfer according to UEFA Financial Fair Play.

Now, I am even more sure that Pjanic will never get a real chance in Barca and we will see for Artur, but I don't blame Barca anymore. This was needed move for balancing the books.

Yeah, I understood the deal was more about the Financial Fair Play rules, but I still would blame the inefficient Barcelona board for this. Arthur seem like the prefect scapegoat, Barca paid €31 million for him, so Pjanic plus ~ half of that fee seem a great deal in contrast to what could have happened if the club get sanctioned by Uefa, at least the Bartomeu-led board does think so.

Old players in barcelona doesn't always mean they do not have any other option at all, however they have some financial fair play issues, which means evne if they have money they can't really buy too many players that are young and talented because they do not have the equality ready. However, should they try out players from youth team? Of course they should, it is a must for a team like Barcelona who has one of the best youth setups in the entire world.

They already have one amazing player with Fati and I am sure when all the old guys leave they will find players from both other teams and will be able to get some from youth and build another team. What people forget that when you are as rich as Barcelona, building a potentially championship team is not really that difficult, when those superstars leave there will be ton of salary gone and financially they will be capable of using that salary money to buy some players.

Even odds are very high for Barcelona but I am feeling they will win today and punish Atletico with some goals result could be 3 - 1 or 2 - 0.

Barca on the other hand will have a big match tonight, but i do think that they already lost their chances in Vigo, with a draw, and Real is in a position to decide on their own regarding the title, so i do not expect something special from Barca, just goals, over 3.5 and both-to-score

did not know this, so they are basically treating players like goods, and manage their storage, almost as having some packs of cola that is close to expiry date, and put it on sale, must say that i am fascinated, did not expect that
yeah, Pjanic will seat on the bench

So, it's official, Barca sold Arthur to Juventus for 72 millions, plus 10 million euros in variables...

I just can't understand out transfer policy. And still, more than year remains until Barca president election. I can't wait until Berttomeu will leave club

That’s a great fee for Barca, he’s crap. He’s done nothing to prove he is good enough to be a big player for Barcelona.
If you ask me, I'd say Barcelona are the heavy losers here, Arthur is just 23 years old, and Pjanic is 30 already just another addition to an ageing squad.

I agree absolutely with the bold part. I can't find a single reason why Barcelona would sign Pjanic even for free let alone for such hefty transfer fee.

I finally understand the reasons behind this transfer. I did some digging and now everything makes sense. It is as always because of money, to be more accurate to play around UEFA Financial Fair Play.

Barcelona must win this match, another loss of points, at this stage of the season may mean the end of dreams about the championship.
