Yeah right! Bale looks incredible again, going by the last game against Celta Vigo, He could play pivotal role for Real Madrid if they're to succeed this season.
I hope Barcelona can get themselves together before the first El Çlassico.
If indeed Zidane is to give Gareth Bale a chance this season, which I doubt he will, he will have to keep replicating the form he showed against Celta. Even if Zidanes first stint as reals coach, there were matches bale showed purpose, one being in the UCL final against Liverpool, but all this didn't succeed in winning him over in the heart of the manager, let's see how it goes this time around.

Barca would definitely bounce back from their loss, I think the battle for the Spanish title this season would be one to the most intriguing, with Barca, madrid and athletico all gunning for the trophy.
Bale has always shown himself to be a great player whenever he is not being plagued by injuries but for some odd reason, Zidane has never been a fan though he is by far way better than most of the players at Real Madrid. It's unfortunate that didn't let him leave to China when the move was almost complete, It would be a great injustice if he is relagated to the bench once again this season.

Barcelona looks as lame as possible without Messi on the pitch and with Valverde on the bench. The club doesn't have ideas for this season, except focusing on Leo or buying Neymar.

The front four, even the front five (counting Dembele) could be the best that the football has ever seen in the matter of talent and the moment of careers of all players. Rijkaard's Barca had R10, Leo, Eto'o and Henry but each player was in the different moment of its career. The team that Barca could have would be composed of five players that are near to their prime. Maybe expect Suarez who's 32-year-old.

And all of that talent will be probably managed by Valverde, one of the biggest disgraces in the club's history. What an irony.

Didn't watch last Real match so I will not comment on Bale performance but I have a feeling that Real fans are grabbing at the straws. This was one game and only game Real played well in the long time. Same goes for Bale. Let's see how he will look in the next few games before we start to praise him.

Praising somebody for one of his matches is not really wrong imo. You can say that X is good when he played on his last match but played really terrible 2 matches before. I don't think you can give appreciation if only a player can perform well continuously like a machine.

In the other news, Atletico Madrid withdrew  complaint against Barcelona over  Griezman transfer. It was silly one, thankfully they realised that.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/premier-league/atl%C3%A9tico-madrid-withdraw-complaint-against-barcelona-over-griezmann-transfer-report/ar-AAG1wb4

"Atlético Madrid has quietly withdrawn their complaint lodged in front of La Liga against Barcelona over the Antoine Griezmann transfer, according to Diario SPORT. The capital club had alleged that Barça owed them money after the blaugrana paid Griezmann’s 120 million release clause. Atléti alleged that Barcelona had already agreed the deal before the release clause was lowered from 200 million to 120 million. Because of this, Barcelona would owe 80 million, according to their logic."

This would be the only positive news going on for the club right now, Messi, Suarez and Dembele are all out injured, The club's bid for Neymar just got rejected by PSG few hours ago, can things get any worse ?
During the pre-season Real Madrid seemed to be the club in crisis, but the tide obviously has changed and Barcelona are the one in a disaster. Sigh!

And it looks like Bale's gonna be a starter under Zidane this season.  Smiley  Can't wait for Hazard to get back from injury with him at the left and Bale at the right!  Nom nom nom.  Grin
We endured so many scenarios about selling him to another club at this transfer window and now we saw him in the starting line up.
It would be the best choice for the team if Zidane starts Bale and Hazard on the wings. But I think that he won't do that as this will indicate a fully attacking team.

I think that the reason why Atletico has not been picked is based on their performance of the initial games.Against Getafe they did play very well but out of the goal occassions they had, they only managed to score one goal. You cannot win the league with these statistics.

Actually, you can, consistency is what counts. We saw that in 2013/14 when they won the league for the first time and also when Leicester won the EPL in 2015/16. Scratching out important points and having a very solid defence, and of course you need the variety in one excellent attacking player to finish the chances which they do create.

But that's the way Diego's Atletico Madrid has been for quite sometime. Their strength has been their defense, and they would win with 1 goal margins. Points are what really matter to them and i think this kind of thing will continue at least according to Diego's philosophy.

Even with such kinds of performance, they have been able to try to challenge of the league title and have also been very powerful in Europe in the past 5-6 years so i wouldn't write off Atletico Madrid just yet.

Bale in the inaugural match of the Spanish league was impressive. He contributed a lot to the match, especially when providing assists to Benzema who scored the opening goal.
With his brilliant performance in the match, Zidane made sure Gareth Bale survived at Real Madrid.

This year started well for Real Madrid as they won against a losing game that Barcelona made a false step.

In this league usually the ones that start with the right foot they continue to do well but we have to see how it will go.
I believe Real Madrid will be the favourite to win the league this year.

Well, I agree Real Madrid started with a noticeable performance but consistency is very essential to win LaLiga. Pre-season was a really bad experience for them but this win will surely boost the players. And Barcelona lost the match against Bilbao when their key player Messi wasn't in the squad. Because with Messi Barcelona looks a totally different team. All I can say is, Laliga 19/20 season gonna be very exciting and competitive.

My vote would go for Real Madrid always. No matter Ronaldo leave or Zidane.

I think Barca need a special midfielder right now, Despite the presence of Messi and Krzman in the face of Betis next Sunday, Barcelona will suffer in the midfield. If Barcelona lose again this week, things will get worse.Real will face Valladolid and I think Real will win this game.

I think that they are weak in the defense as well.
But buying a defensive midfielder will improve things on their defense and it would be a good addition.

Yes,  I agree with you.
When you have such great player like Messi,  you build team around him.
But,  I don’t see that Barcelona have some long term strategy for the "world after Messi ".
What about their sport academy?
Young players?
They just buying new players without any concrete plan and strategy.

That's why they are very serious about reacquiring the services of Neymar once again because they believe that he will be able to carry the mantle for Barcelona once Messi hangs his boot but i really don't think Neymar is going to be the man to do that and at the moment, I don't see any player in the current squad who may be able to do that.

Just voted on the poll and viewed the current result, it's surprising no one has voted for Atletico Madrid to win the league title this season, while Sevilla and Valencia has gotten picked (most likely by club fans).
I think Atletico do stand a very big chance this season to challenge for the title and make the race exciting.
Barcelona of course leads the poll, and after eight league titles in eleven years you would expect so.

I think that the reason why Atletico has not been picked is based on their performance of the initial games.Against Getafe they did play very well but out of the goal occassions they had, they only managed to score one goal. You cannot win the league with these statistics.

That is true, La Masia is not effective anymore, not producing quality players like they used to and this will become problem in future unless they change something.

Few years ago they lost one very interesting player that impressed me during Euro U21, Dani Olmo that won Euro with Spain team, while being one of their best players. He  did unexpected move, left their academy and went to Dinamo Zagreb where he developed into very good player, basically more offensive Modric, with a bit different skill set but same potential of becoming great player. They might bring him back, for maybe 30-40 million. That is nothing for them nowadays and i think they will have to get used to buying players like all the other top  teams.

But then again they  don't have strategy regarding buying finsished players either, when we saw what happened with Coutinho.Time will tell i guess.

Modern football has become a business & people want instant results. There is no patiejce any more, young players need to be nurtured, looked after & most of all given a chance.
The opportunities aren’t there any more because of the lust for instant success.

It really hurts me as a Barca fan to see the way the team played last night, getting desperate with their shots even though they actually had the game in control. Even took me so long to finally write about it.

This was a long time in the signs already of course and we really need fresh blood. Fans say luckily Real are also in decline, but we forget to respect others like Athletico and Sevilla.

In my opinion,  it's not good and healthy when one team depends so much on one player.
Messi is probably one of the 3 the best players in soccer history but he is not young any more.
How long he can still play?
What will happen with Barca when Messi retire?
Who can replace Messi?

It is certainly a problem for any club to depend that much on one player, but i don't blame Barcelona that much.

Messi is such a brilliant  player that it would be the same in any other club. When you have  such a talent, it would be foolish not to build the system around him, and take the advantages of his strengths. And as we can see, it worked well so far, with Barcelona being most dominant team in quite some time. They might constrain him more, but in the process that would maybe mean less trophies won. They even sacrifiesed another great player, Ibrahimovic , in the process while loosing Etoo, that fitted that Barcelona perfectly.

Barcelona will certainly have huge issues after he retires, but i think it was worth it, it was a good trade off for Barcelona in the end.
