Barcelona must quickly recover from their downturn, therefore Girona must be able to take advantage of the situation in the remaining final matches at the end of this season, because if they cannot play well of course Barcelona will be able to replace Girona in second place as runners up, I think that is also not desirable by Girona and they seem to have played optimally but Alaves played very well and were luckier, even so Girona did not lose points and only got one point from this match but it will make the point difference with Barcelona even closer.

Just an encouragement for them to press harder to finish it still at the top.

 The draw wasn't so good for them, they've got extra work to do too. Definitely the last fixtures left would be favourable.The trophy has been lifted, the only task left is for the teams to work towards finishing their strides for the season well. Yes, points loss is effective more than point gained and so it's best to work towards points gain instead.

Already in the Champions League zone, Girona already feels comfortable in the standings, but yes, I agree it would be a shame if they lost the runner up position, Girona should be able to maintain second place in the standings even though they are already in second place. Champions League Zone. because this could be history for the Club that could be in that position, because next season they could not be in 2nd place or could even be out of the Champions League zone.

I'm also saddened by results that shouldn't have happened, friends, and sometimes that's how it is when a match that should be an absolute win ends up with a result that is beyond prediction. It's really unfortunate what happened to Girona last night, the draw against Alaves put them on the verge of becoming runners-up if Barcelona were able to win this week's match, with the fierce game played by these two teams Giroma almost won but Girona was overwhelmed and conceded in the minutes Finally, in the final minutes of the match Alaves managed to equalize the lead to 2-2.

However, this draw will not have fatal consequences for Girona because they have already won tickets to the Champions League next season and being runners-up this season may have failed, but what they have done this season is a big improvement.

Girona have missed out on several attempts to beat Deportivo Alaves and had a 2-2 draw tie with them. I would consider it a preferable result other than a defeat, Girona looks unserious with La Liga matches because they're no longer in competitive race for La Liga title and have also secure a top spot in the UEFA Champions League next season. However their draw tie means another opportunity for Barcelona to turn things around and end second position on the table.

After the match Mallorca has three matches remaining and they are in position 17th in the table having a six points away from the relegation zone, which am not convinced with the current points gap because it's too small to be maintain due to the current form of the team, both Mallorca and Las Palmas both draw their last two matches against each other, but this time around Mallorca should be able to win Las Palmas because Las Palmas are really facing serious decline in their performance to the extent that they could not even draw a match in their last five matches, they were defeated in the all matches while Mallorca only faces three defeats and draw two, and this is my reason why I said Mallorca should do better than Las Palmas especially when they are the host.

That is the point and once such a huge gap between the best and the other teams in a league has been established, it often takes a very long time to close that gap again. You can go across all leagues and see that phenomenon. It's standard in the Bundesliga that Bayern wins the title, Ligue 1 same problem with PSG, I think to a certain degree you could argue the same about the Premier League because even when it looks close, Manchester City is most likely the team winning the title, and for now it doesn't look very well for La Liga. If Mbappe joins them and Barcelona will once again be there with empty hands when the new season starts, hard to believe then that Barcelona could outcompete Real Madrid in 38 games.

I was a little disappointed with the result of Girona's match against Alaves yesterday when with a 1-2 lead and the game almost over I felt that my bet would be fine but instead disaster struck here where 90+9 there was a meltdown in Girona's defense that made the victory that was already in sight must be destroyed.
With this draw it's a bit of a tricky situation because after all this was Girona's moment to widen the gap with Barcelona but it's almost as if they're allowing Barcelona to stay in 2nd place later because looking at what's happening now, Barcelona only need to win to reclaim their position.

Multi's gamble, which could still be a good result, was dashed at the start of the match and made me a little upset because my expectations of Girona were very high in yesterday's match.

I made a wrong prediction where I thought Girona could beat Alaves decisively, but maybe Alaves played a game that was quite difficult for Girona, even though Girona was able to score the first goal, Alaves could still balance the score. Actually, I think both teams had the same number of opportunities, but these opportunities didn't turn into goals.  Maybe if Girona chances were all goals, they could win.

With Girona draw, of course this is an opportunity for Barcelona. In my opinion, Barcelona must be able to make the best use of this, because this is an opportunity that can benefit them to take their second position. with the next match, I think Barcelona can win, and I hope my prediction is not wrong again.

Girona missed so many opportunities in attack yesterday that they could have scored a few more goals, but I got the impression that everyone wanted to score a goal and were greedy with the last pass. This season has not been so good for Leicester and their chances of getting better on the premier League next season is not certain because their performance has reduced a lot. I agree with you on the aspect you mentioned that Girona will not be able to maintain their performance next season because their would be more competition next season because most of the clubs has come to Spanish la Liga this season to check their performance so their is a chance that almost all the clubs will come back prepared on la Liga next season.

I was surprised yesterday that Girona could not utilize the opportunity they had and win Deportivo Alaves because they were still leading Deportivo Alaves with 2:1 on 90 minutes of the match but Deportivo Alaves managed to equalize the goal at the extra time, so perhaps you are right Girona has given Barcelona the opportunity to regain back their second position if they win their next match.

I don’t think Girona actually drew that match internationally but that’s one beauty or fascinating thing about football, a club can be undefeated and ends been defeated by a lower rank club and Deportivo Alaves did that yesterday. They grew in the game after Girona let their guard down. It is a painful draw for Girona.


Yes it is important for any club to currently finish as a the runner up to the tittle winners (second position) because the Spanish super cup since it’s reform to four teams is usual contested by the both winners and runners up of the Laliga and the copa del Rey. At the moment Altletic Club are the champions of the Copa del Rey while the Runners up are Mallorca. The already declared Laliga champions makes the third club and the club that finishes second will complete the four clubs.

So this gives any club finishing second a chance at another title.

Will this draw cost Girona a position in top four?

No, they will hold one position in top four of La Liga because now they have 75 points and Athletic Bilbao at the fifth position have 61 points that can become 64 points if they win a match today. However, 11 points when La Liga have only 3 more match days, it is not enough for Bilbao to catch Girona.

This draw can cost Girona a second position because Barcelona can flip Girona by winning their match today, though it is not too important for Girona. A second or third position in La Liga is enough, as it will help Girona to directly go to Champions League 2024 - 2025 group phase, without play-off matches.

Yeah Leicester even ended up with relegating to the Championship however they are going to be back in the Premier League next season.    I feel like Girona will also not be able to maintain this look in the La Liga next time. When it comes to Girona they couldn't beat Alaves yesterday. They got one point. This is a nice opportunity for Barcelona to take the second spot from that. All they have to do is to beat Real Sociedad on this game week.    Finishing as the second wouldn't change so many things for them maybe but still you know.

Girona took advantage of the momentum well, where in my opinion Barcelona and Atletico Madrid did not appear as consistent as in usual seasons, thus opening up space for Michel squad to compete in the top four of the La Liga standings. The season will soon end and there are only 3 matches remaining, Girona has secured a ticket to a more competitive competition, namely the Champions League, it is clear that Girona management must add depth to the squad in the next transfer window. Next season will be more difficult for Girona, the challenges they face will be more complex than this season, because they have more matches scheduled. The ability to survive under pressure requires a more even squad depth, and Michel needs better rotation options. This season, it doesn't matter if Girona finishes in second or third place, their overall performance still deserves appreciation.

Last week Girona came from behind to beat Barcelona. Yesterday they struggled to get the win against their rivals. For upcoming match today there is a match between Granada vs Real Madrid and we all know Granada will be relegated to Segunda Division and Real Madrid is the champion of Laliga so whatever the results of this match it won't have any affect to their current position and because Real Madrid will playing at the final match of Champion League so they will give their priority to that match and i assume Ancelotti will rotate Real Madrid squad because he want to ensure all of Real Madrid players in the good fitness later but it could be good if Real Madrid can extended their winning streak and win from Granada today and Real Madrid win has odds @1.60 and i think this is good odds to bets and hopefully Real Madrid still attempts to win from this match
