Playing at the Santiago Bernabeu against an average Spanish club like Cadiz, it was very expected for Real Madrid to win that particular fixture and they did it that in a clinical fashion without even conceding a goal. The result of that game was all Real Madrid needed to win the the Spanish La Liga this season because their closest rivals Barcelona were beaten by Girona few hours after the Real Madrid game against Cadiz.
For the 36th time, Real Madrid have been crowned the champions of Spain which have extended their record win of the Spanish league. Carlo Ancelotti is simply the best man for the job at Real Madrid and I find it a great pleasure to be a Real Madrid fan at the moment. The match really shocked me as well because in the first half Barcelona played as though they will win Girona and they played better than Girona in the first half only for the second half to start and Girona wiped Barcelona 4:2. Barcelona's defense is really disappointing to be honest they really need do something about their defense line because that is mostly where their problems lies if they can build their defense very well they won't be faced with many problems because they have quality strikers that can do the scoring. This was exactly same result that Girona won Barcelona with during their first meeting in Camp Nou earlier this season they also won Barcelona by 4:2 on 10th December 2023.

Earlier on today, Real Madrid beat Cadiz 3-0 as Brahim Diaz, Jude Bellingham, and Joselu scored for the home team at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. And Real Madrid on tonight secured their 36th Spanish LaLiga title after Barcelona were handed a 4-2 loss at Girona. Even if Barcelona were able to win Girona I doubt if they would have still be able to stop Madrid from winning the title except if Madrid ha lost the rest of their games which is almost not possible, Madrid is such a strong and tough teams too allowing such at this time for a league title so I don't think Girona really got to influence Madrid's winning the trophy this season rather it was just Girona getting ahead of Barcelona.

It's still possible Barcelona gets to finish as the runner up but then it will have to be conditional as Girona may have to probably get to draw or loose one game again before exhausting their remaining fixtures for the season but as Barcelona too would have to maintain a winning streak to keep them ahead by accumulating some more points just before the season eventually comes to an end, they have got just four more games to the end of the season and I think Barcelona knowing how well their position is now threatened will definitely do as much as they can about it.

Girona ia actually getting so many surprised because like you rightly reference them, they are considered an underdog but their rise this season has been really such a tremendous one that has gotten them some kind of recognition as they didn't relent or get to fall terribly as expected of them been an underdog after they did suffered some set back a while after they got to the top of the table and later got displaced by the elites.

Girona have managed to upset Barcelona this season because after all, Girona have beaten Barcelona in two La Liga matches this season. Obviously, this is a bad result for Barcelona so obviously, Barcelona failed this season to get the trophy. But even so, Barcelona had a good effort in this match too because after all, Barcelona won 1-2 at half time but unfortunately, the 1-2 victory at half time seemed to make Barcelona complacent. Even if it was for a short term. Flick would have brought something new to the club.

Madrid must thanks to Girona after defeating Barcelona last few hour match and not require waiting for upcoming match to celebrate with La Liga winner season 2023/24. Beside Real Madrid achievement success becoming the La Liga winner in this season, I am surprising with Girona consistent performance in this season and has bit unbelievable how potential will finish on 2d place if can win four matches later. Currently after defeating Barcelona make Girona lead to 2nd place with one point left from Barcelona, if can win until four matches later will make new record as under dog team success finish with runner up position.

I can't believe that Barcelona were beaten again by Girona, even though the match was a match that determined who finished second in the standings, I am very disappointed with Barcelona this time, plus this is the final match of the season and makes everything look more chaotic after the defeat earlier by Girona, the 4-2 result looks embarrassing, even though Barcelona can control the ball and always win against Girona in La Liga but now Barcelona is experiencing such a significant setback, I feel it is very unethical to see.

This Barcelona game with Girona is just something else and look at me thinking that Girona has even lost their touch and all of a sudden they have just turned the game around by defeating Barcelona by huge margin of four goals to two. No doubt that Girona really shocked the other Laliga teams with their performance and it just shows that every team indeed has the potentials to do well with the right people and mentality in place

This season is one season Barcelona fans wants to forget in a hurry as this season have been one of their down seasons coupled with the financial issues of the club. Club’s finances is always a big worry especially as it’s not going to help the club be able to get the proper signings they need. This is one challenge the club has faced this season and as such have had to manage with the injured players and the available players.

 Managing with both sets of players seems to be real tough and this can be troublesome especially for the coach. And i feel because of the trouble and all Xavi decided to depart the club at the end of the season. The win against Mallorca was a boost for them especially as they were headed into the UCL game against Napoli but they just weren't able to scale through up to this moment. You can see how they’ve managed to fight all hard with their injury crisis.
 
 Xavi has been a good manager at the Spanish side, even though they've had some shaky situations, they've just found a way to cover up lapses and make necessary coverings to the loopholes. It's very much good that they were able to put in good effort regardless of what they lacked to good team building. Nonetheless, Xavi would have still done better than he's already done.

 Well, his days with the team are technically numbered and he's got some commendations which he definitely deserves. I don't know what to say about his intended replacement but all I'll say is Barcelona as a team has work to be done and I'd love to see the new Barcelona in seasons and games to come. It's just too late for Barcelona to draw back up to the right track.
