Whether it's desktop or laptop, the security is completely dependent on the users self interest on programming and exploring much about the different methods to improve the security. In specific different actions can be made to increase the security levels which needs complex solution generating source.

I'm looking to purchase a new laptop and I want to know, which brand would be best compatible with #Bitcoin core wallets and upgrades.

What security services should I use?

Judging how no one is letting up in this fork debate I see that in the future bitcoin wallet providers will be speaking out on which chain they will be a part of. I just want to be as close to correct as possible.

Call 2X BTCCorp for all i care im not with corporate espionage

best is to get a ledger nano s for bitcoin wallet.laptops wont be a better place for it.

I do not think it's a computer problem and the problem is with the user. Make sure you have everything you need for your PC including a good antivirus. Your problem when using a computer you should not click on the site is not necessary because it may be something that can automatically insert a malicious code into your computer to track if you use the. tk bank or other important details for others to follow you, the software as you install it carefully check it in detail you can ask the people with computer knowledge can help you. Good luck
Oh thanks,
Actually I was losing bitcoin due to when I clicked on the malicious wed page, I was infected with the virus track, and when I made the bitcoin transaction I changed the wallet code

Its not a mattet which brand is good. Any branded laptop you can use. Safety is private key.If your wallet have a private key, then you will be success. Different OS type laptop/computer you can choose.
Try to get backup your address and private key. Otherwise you will lose it.

Personally, laptop and desktop computers are all available, and there is no need to distinguish between brand models.
The point is that you need to keep your private key well, and don't give it to someone you can't trust, which is the safest. At the same time, because of the frequent occurrence of network fraud, I suggest to store the private key and isolate the network.
However, this can make your bitcoin trading relatively troublesome.

What is the difference between the one you buy a computer and the one where you will store and use your bitcoins? Weird question. For each system, you can install wallets to store crypto currency. With everyone there is compatibility. I think you do not have enough knowledge and understanding in what is crypto currency and how to use it. Wink

for using bitcoin all you need is private keys and then a way to sign transactions.
private keys are the same everywhere, in bitcoin, bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, bitcoin xyz,... you can even get one by rolling dice multiple times to have it 100% offline and by hand. not even needing a laptop!

if you want to run a full node (bitcoin core) your biggest concern is the storage or your hard disk as other user mentioned. because blockchain is more than 120 GB last time i checked and it will grow. and usually the laptops have smaller storage specially when you use most of the storage yourself anyways.

When creating a wallet, no laptop or desktop or even mobile device is secure. I only trust hardware wallets where the seed is generated seperately.

Bitcoin core will work on most laptops. There are no specific brands on which it will perform better or faster. But when buying a laptop consider a laptop 1TB hard disk, since the size of Blockchain is increasing day by day ( last time I checked it was at 130+ GB) . As for security , as long as you don't have any malware that keylogs on your PC and you use wallets like electrum or cold storage wallets , then you are good.

No matter what you use the laptop or PC. The main thing that the disk space allowed to install the necessary software. But I think that such storage of coins is much more dangerous than storing in the electronic wallet. The recent spread of the virus Petya showed that all users which store private keys on their carriers can in an instant to lose them.

Laptops these days are being made to be compatible with every app you want to run without any difficulty in understanding what it is made up of. What you need is just to know the reason why you want to get it. For example a gaming laptop will surely need to be solidified with graphics card that will enable it function very well.

But for me, when it comes to running of nodes and the likes, there are applications that would have done the back end configurations all you need to do is to ensure you download from the right source, and ensure that you keep yourself and the computer safe by installing strong anti-virus and you are good to go without any threat. And also, never download anything from un-trusted source which is the main reason for hacking in the first place.

The brand of the desktop or laptop doesn’t matter. Wallets are compatible to Window and Mac OS. For security wise, antivirus software is the key but we can’t say which is most secure. Hence getting a hardware wallet will be good in securing your private key. There several brands such as Trezor, Ledger and etc.
That's right. Laptop or desktop are both important and with regards to the compatibility of software,it needs a secured antivirus to control or remove unnecessary files that will automatically installed. The question is,Is there best antivirus software and most trusted? If so,what is it and how strong is it?But I would prefer to laptop because it's more convenient and easier to use than desktop. Moreover, laptop is accessible and easily be compatible with different softwares for security assistance.

Lenovo had a spyware issue in the past so I do not buy their products. Building your own pc should be the mosf secure option. Try Linux because it's relatively easier to secure than Windows.
What you claim to Lenovo? A former IBM company which was purchased by the Chinese and under the terms of the contract could not until the year 2000 to rename. In this case, your boundless confidence in Linux, I am surprised. I heard that a big part of this project took Russian. If so it is not known what they have to stuffed.

It's good that you are thinking well about security of your hardware before entering the realm of crypto (BTC). But to answer your question, any laptop or desktop brand would do. It depends on your personal preference. I'm using a 2012 model laptop and it is still working fine with BTC and other cryptos today. As for the security, people above me already posted very relevant information regarding it so my only advice to you is don't click any suspicious links especially the ones that are provided thru telegram, slack or discord chat (any chat-based program). Be paranoid about the websites that you're visiting. Be vigilant.  Grin

Choosing brands between laptop or desktop is doesn't matter because wallet are fit in any operating system even it window's, MAC or android or IOS but to secure it, it is depends to you on how you treat it. Many anti virus are able to secure your wallet but manual security is one of the best security in your wallet.
