A buddy did math figured they hit the network with 2,200 units to do this (most of them ours....)

1200 ghz / 504 mhz = 2400 units of L3+ yep sounds about right.

In his defense I think it was 29% this am when he did the calcs...so damn I keep hoping something is wrong
with how i see it...but if you go 'full evil' as a way of thinking...then yeah x11 mininig is what they will move into next
no doubt....

well...it was a good run...and I'm better off then most 75% of my mining is knc titans that should have kicked the bucket a year or so ago
thus I can eat the L3+ losses even if difficulty triples

but for guys who just got a couple L3+'s for hobby use...damn....been there ...mining equip for 14 months just to get orig
BTC back out really sucks...assuming optimistically that is even possible

but as a bitch slap to bitcoin core devs etc..killing LTC in this manner makes a lot of sense as an example

asic mafia....sh*t ...too true

Shipping for this batch will start on 15 July 2017.

Jesus Christ you guys just get worse and worse with scummy behavior as time passes. That's quite the free loan you crooks are getting for three months.

Bitmain as always know how to screw own customers.

Was looking for L3 but now when Jihan mining with purchased kit to block segwit on ltc and in a minute diff will go through the roof only noobs will buy that L3 and will hope to make any buck back.

I say boycot bitmain and Jihan for this dick move.

I hope customers will ask for refund and will never get back to bitmain.

Shame on you bitmain. USAF will happen and you will feel it.

I agree refer to my previous post I did scream : BOYCOTT!!!

So basically, those of us who bought May batches are screwed?

I hope to be wrong but I am mentally preparing myself to think of this as a 'reset' to 4-6 weeks ago and
4.15 ltc...with instead of the difficulty bomb of my knc titans trickling out 6-8 months to doorstops
they will do so in like 2 - 3 months max

the money this month I made covers probably the 4 L3+'s I got and the L3's I got april 1st even
thou same price also probably ok

but figure I'll be mining into the fall to get my all my orig coin back..if lucky a bit more

so yeah...unless they offer me a refund for may 5th stuff too...it is like 4.15 ltc was reality and this

12.30 LTC was just a 'dream' that went nightmare

btc to equp to btc EVEN is my hopeful goal now

FML

I ordered one from the May batch to start mining for the first time paid it in time ofcourse and then I was informed that they could not process my payment in time so they either move me to July batch or refund me. Not happy at all with this. By July the difficulty could be tripled and if they don't refund me fully and they refund only the miner's cost and shipping I lost almost 200 euro...
Although I can say their support has been responding promptly and has been quite helpful for the time being Smiley

Well I'm gonna try for  a refund.but I bet EVERYBODY after april is trying for same..thus screwed..you seem to have been 'bumped' from may to july so take the $$$
and run imho.....grandfathered in so to speak...good for you

For those of you that bought the April batch, have you received word from Bitmain of a shipping delay due to "firmware problems"?

People on the Litecoin subreddit are claiming that they've seen such a delay notice, and that it's a plot by Jihan Wu to use the hash power from machines that you bought to attack Litecoin with the goal of delaying or preventing SegWit.

Before jumping to conclusions I just want to know if Bitmain has in fact communicated a shipping delay to people who bought the April batch.

so he says on his tweet account on re edit and reposted by charlie lee on his twitter feed

https://twitter.com/SatoshiLite?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

and not like he is pissed or anything an not in full war mode..his twitter account

https://twitter.com/jihanwu?lang=en

so he is using pre-orders to mine april batch to stop seg witness

so probably imho april folk will get offered refunds if they want...but the may 5th batch (me of course) likely will just see the network hash go up 150% by then (if we are
lucky imho) and then bitmain having say a solid 48% of the LTC network ..if they don't decide to 51% attack it and/or with 70% of all the pow scrypt LTC etc miners
out there..and only ones making such .they can pretty much now do as they please

also I see now cloudflare comes up on their sales page...so they've implimented that for the expected (deserved) DDOS attacks they are getting so they can still
sell miners

this imho was planned well in advance....not to mention the money they have made on the LTC market from knowing this was coming

so essentially, we now know (again in my view) why the april batch was small...needed just so many to kill seg witness ..as to may and july pre -orders

no refunds sucker...so you can just eat the difficulty rise slam'd into 1-2 months vs the 7-8 months expected if seg witness would have come thru

I mean sh*t they have 70% of the market it was not like they were not gonna make bucko $$$$

imho....they ARE using asic boost...thus if seg witness came thru they would lose 33% of their mining speed/eff (if they can only run it from their end on their pool
as folk have stated also...nice little secret that)

anyway thus went full evil mode...because that can't happen...as to UASF (user activated soft fork) as a way to get seg witness...that does NOT i've read
on bitcointalk...mess up asic boost..thus they keep their 33% edge

man win/win/win/win all the way around ..full evil mode works...its 2014 again and knc neptune games (same deal mined them months before shipping to cutomers
the 3rd batch they paid for)

silly me...I thought the ecosystem of crypto had evolved somewhat

oh well got 4 bitmain L3+'s May 5th ones coming....and I guess my knc titans are going to get to their desired doorstop status sooner

nothing I was not expecting a month ago.....at 4.15 ltc..talk about 'dashed hopes' Sad

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
Mmm.. why did you buy four power supplies but only two breakout boards?

Also you would have been better with Sidehack's package of the DPS-1200 +breakout board and 6-wire 16AWG PCI-E cables like I said.

I give you an advice, then you go and buy just something without any specific knowledge and ask me if it's okay, AFTER you have bought it.  Roll Eyes

Makes me wonder sometimes if giving advices is useful at all if no one is listening.

I just noticed I got 2 wire 6 pin PCIe connectors.

Will these work with L3+?

Do you have mains voltage higher than 208 V ?
If you don't have >208 V available, then this power supply is not for you.

If you are in USA or elsewhere with only 110-120 V available, then HP DPS-1200FB server power supply (two of those for two miners) could be one good option.
Sidehack here at the forum has those for sale with breakout board & PCI-E cables.

Could we use a regular psu? I have this old corsair hx 1050, I think that should be sufficient, but not exactly sure.

So is it  possible to work with these on segwit signaling pools?

Does the L3 work on Prohash? If yes, then it should

Unless I missed something, Prohash is not signaling SetWit yet. Maybe after the pool op finishes his taxes Wink

There's no reason why an L3+ would not work on a SetWit signaling pool, unless Bitmain changes their firmware to prevent it from working. Seems unlikely that they would do that, even given their recent track record.

Even if they did something that stupid, I'm sure that the miner software and firmware could be reversed and hacked to allow it to work anywhere.

You are correct regarding Prohash, I misread something over on Reddit
