I am in the same boat regarding the Nano X. I don't have any interest in >99% of altcoins, so the extra storage space is irrelevant, and I very rarely take my hardware wallets out of the house or interact with them via mobile, so the Bluetooth is irrelevant. The bigger screen looks like a nice improvement over the Nano S, but I'm not about to spend ~$100 just for that.

Do you think its worth it if I purchase the bundle of NanoX and NanoS or just straight for NanoX? Really excited for this.
Just before you order, either post a new thread in this board or check on Ledger's subreddit for any discount codes, if they aren't running a promotion at the time. For example this guy asked a few hours ago, and got a bunch of codes within 20 minutes: https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/fxk0cq/any_discount_codes_available/. Some offer a percentage discount and some offer a flat discount, so figure out which one works out best for you. The codes in that link offer either 20% or $25 off, but they may well have been used by now.

I'm just amazed at how the battery life on the Nano X stays. I mean, it's over a month already + the quarantine where I didn't use the device up until now. I was surprised that it's up by 94% battery remaining.

Battery life is very good if you do not use the device, and I also notice that it stay almost on same % if I not use device for few days. But some users seem to be having problems with faulty battery, which I personally have not noticed so far. However, it should be noted that the Nano X can be used quite normally with a cable as well, and not only depends on its battery.

I like the concept of the Nano X, but I just don't think that in my situation, it warrants spending another ~US$140+ for "features" that I'm not sure are of any use  Undecided

I paid my Nano X about $90 at a discount of 35% which was available for last Black Friday (30% + 5% for on last day of promotion). I didn't buy it just because it has a Bluetooth or larger screen, or because it supports up to 100 apps installed at a time, but because I want to keep up with new technologies, and Bluetooth and a larger screen can sometimes be quite useful. Nano S is enough for the average user, I don't think there is any doubt about that. For those who want something new, and have no problem to pay around $100 (Ledger always has discounts), it's a logical step to invest in a new model.

It's not a bad idea to have a spare hardware wallet, so if it's not a problem to pay a little more for both models, this might not be a bad idea. Ledger also has discounts all the time, and you can usually pay at least 20% off the price. I personally only order directly from Ledger, and this is not a problem since I live in the EU, but if there is an authorized Ledger retailer in your country, you may be able to save at least some costs (customs fees).

I wrote something about the Nano X when I bought it, you might find it helpful : Ledger Nano X - Review of the package.

I am really excited with to purchase, this NanoX ledger device. I already studied every instruction to do and create when it arrives. Based on most, feedback they say its a good deal.

By the way OP, since we are on the same country, mind asking how much was the VAT and custom tax duty added when your gonna shipped it? As Ive seen on the site its cost around 6,783php for Nano X, and 8,400php for both NanoX and NanoS bundle, since you have one, I would like to know how much will it cost.

Hope shipping wouldnt be so hard since pandemic virus is ongoing.

I also have the Trezor ONE and I believe the same applies to the "ONE vs T" situation.

For the most part yes, but the T does have one distinct security advantage.  The touch screen allows you to enter your passphrase on the device, which is really only an issue if you've been infected with keyboard logging malware.

Do you think it is worth the expense for an existing Nano S owner if you only have 1 or 2 coins (ie. not a big altcoin hodler/trader)? Is the "value add" really there for the extra expense in that situation? Huh

The Nano X has a few improvements, but I wouldn't call any of them essential improvements.  As long as the S is compatible with all your coins and has enough room for all the associated apps, that's really all you'll ever need.

I second this.  I just purchased a Nano X for myself and 2 Nano S for other family members.  The features of the X are nice, but looking back I probably should have gotten the Nano S for myself too.  I prefer not to deal with the battery but I agree that the battery seems pretty good.  Also the ability to pay and receive in the app is nice for the Nano X, but we are not yet at a place where I am using crypto for daily purchases.  Although I also like the USB type C charger.

But if you have a Nano S and it works for you, I see no need to upgrade to the Nano X.

Thanks... I had long suspected that this was indeed the case, but it's nice to get the perspective from someone that owns and has used both.

I agree that's a nice piece of kit.  I'll be honest; I prefer, and more commonly use the competition's hardware wallet, but I own both the Nano S and the Nano X.  The upgrades the X offers are pretty darn handy.  Even just the simple things like being able to see the whole address on the display when confirming a spending transaction is a convenient improvement.  The bigger display is easier on my aging eyes as well.

Considering how long a hardware wallet should last an individual, I think the difference in price is negligible considering the X's improvements and added convenience.
