With all of the transactions I've done, I've never been asked even once by customers to use escrow ... until this week. A customer requested escrow and as an honest merchant, I respect that. I'm sure John K is busy, which explains why my PM from a couple days ago still remains unanswered.

It was a no-brainer to also ask OgNasty to hold escrow; he has replied instantly to every request and I have no doubt he will handle this transaction with the same amount of professionalism that I and others have come to receive from him in the past.

Will report back when transaction is complete in a few days and escrow is released.

Thanks Og - you're truly one-of-a-kind. Wink

Escrow is becoming more and more of an important function with ICOs. It provides accountability that is truly needed. There is a great ICO that has a decentralized escrow program where token buyers vote before funds are released to the ICO. I definitely see escrows like this becoming HUGE in the space! Check them out - incremint.io

Good luck Og. I know you run a reputable service and reputation is so important in the crypto realm. It sucks that there are people out there scamming.

Here's the BTC address that I was told to send funds to. I don't know if it'll be of any help but if anyone else encounters this, stay away.

The impersonator also referenced your true BTC address and said there's "too much traffic"  Roll Eyes

I can't seem to attach the chat log so I'll PM the log to you if you're interested.

Scammers gonna scam.  Be safe.  I wish I didn't have to offer this service here, but unfortunately it is desperately needed on a daily basis due to these scammers.

They trying to scam me right now lol. Here's the Discord ID for "OgNasty Escrow Service#7095" in case he/she just changes the tag and number: 416318240445431808

Here's the Real ID for his/her partner (unconfirmed, this could just be someone who doesn't know) that is currently going by the Discord Tag MinerWhale🤗#9605: 258392822074441728

Well, yesterday it was Telegram that they were trying to scam by impersonating me until I pointed out who here has a grudge against me that frequently uses Telegram.  Now suddenly today it seems they switched to posing as me on Discord to try and scam.  I know who the users are that are doing this, but without more concrete evidence I don't want to point fingers publicly.  Although it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I've been in communication with Telegram and have recommended they file a police report in an attempt to track down the user in question.  I've been helping with all the evidence I have and hope they will be caught eventually.  I'll reach out to Discord later today and see if I can get them to take a similar approach.  Thanks for the information.

@OGNasty What is your discord username?

I don't use discord, actually never heard of it.

The name OgNasty should never be trusted anywhere but here.  While I have verified the username also on the Bitcoin.com forum, it is best to only trust my escrow services on this website.  Additionally, anyone who asks you to send to a BTC address other than 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe can immediately be identified as a scammer.

It was on a discord - name was @kristi Telegram was @kristicatt

Telegram name of the "escrow" agent was OgNasty... FUCK!

I'm told another user has fallen for this scam.  I would be cautious of anyone who uses Telegram or Skype for forum deals.

Talking of scams... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deep-concerns-regarding-ognasty-and-nastyscams-2996871

people need to be aware of how OG now operates.. he may move the fence on his escrow service and users could be out of pocket..

be aware as he prays on new money coming into his fanclub...

have a good day and trade safe people

Used OgNasty multiple times with my various projects, easy to communicate. Recommended

Thanks Angelo.  I noticed I hadn't left you trust yet despite several interactions, so I went ahead and did that.

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I was completely scammed yesterday by someone claiming to be OgNasty.

I was doing a BWK for BTC swap and someone suggested using OgNasty using the following link (now dead):

https://bitcoirtalk.org/index.php?topic=303281.0

It was an exact clone of this page (with history from 2013, etc.), except it linked to a telegram with someone with the username OgNasty.  Needless to say, I got screwed out of 2.1 BTC.  I am just hoping that this helps someone - please be very careful out there - i thought i was being careful...

Who was the "someone" that suggested the link?

Also seems like a good time for a reminder:

The below address is the only address I will ever ask you to send BTC to.  If asked to send to a different address, you are dealing with a scammer.
