I am so tired of such guys thinking that Libra will change anything and will replace BTC. It won't. Libra was created by big companies and this fact would bring more new supporters to the crypto industry, but it won't affect BTC dominance.
Privacy will be a big problem because Facebook will know every step of its users. Bitcoin will be the only king for a long time.
Of course they make privacy the most important thing. I hope Libra's presence makes a good competition vs Bitcoin, currently there are too many coins so that altcoins compete with each other and of course make a lot of dead coins.
i don't think like that, for me Libra is a centralized coin they only focus on financial systems like Visa, paypal etc. Besides Libra has also not been released legally in public, they are still a lot of pros and cons, but if Libra really released soon this will affect the crypto adospi and enliven the crypoqurrency market again.

It's basically just overhyped stablecoin and definitely not a crypto king. Imagine calling a coin that's established by a big company like facebook which they have full control over it a crypto king that just doesn't suit well. There's no such thing as crypto king other than bitcoin itself and Libra will never be a crypto king because that's just an utterly bullshit and Libra can't even get past the regulation and keeps on being delayed.Libra is selling like a hot cake only in early stage where it got investors from left and right just because it's a big company and not because the coin's revolutionary idea which I find it none there. just overhyped garbage in short.

Indeed, currently Libra is supported by many large companies, including Facebok. But what we have to understand is that some large countries are also blocking the existence of Libra. So that this competition will occur. If competition still exists, then we cannot say that Libra is the new ALT King.

so , having glanced through their white paper , there can't be two more different cryptos than bitcoin and Libra
first thing , the new coin is going to be be based on permissioned node verification
i.e. with bitcoin any node that meets technical requirements can validate , with libra only the chosen few will be able to run a node
then there will be no mining as with bitcoin - libra will be "minted" , when the actual fiat currency is spent to buy it
and to crown it all there will be no pseudo anonimity , the new coin is positioned as ready for regulatory compliance
so no shenanigans possible , no money laundering , nothing that involves privacy , be ready to be scrutinized to a T if you are using libra

It has not launched yet, so we can't just say that Libra will be the new crypto king. Although it really has a great potential and the most promising coin nowadays, but we'll see in the future if it reaches our expectations. I still believe in bitcoin though.
libra may have a very large community. or maybe when the release and start trading libra can immediately occupy the top 100 coins. that might have happened because seeing so many large companies also had the development of this coin behind. not only facebook.The fact that Facebook is popular now doesn’t really mean people love them that much, many people have issue with the way they don’t protect user’s privacy, they only use them because of the social media platform they have and because they need to communicate with friends and family through it, but now that it involves financial things, I doubt if people will really be behind them for this, investor would not have much coin in them and whatever money they put into their projects will just be to test it.
Libra's appearance is both a catalyst that helps the widely known crypto market and a major threat to Ripple and Stellar. I think Libra will be a big project because facebook's ecosystem is quite strong, but it's too early to say it can become the king of crypto. But Libra will undoubtedly be a factor affecting the growth of the whole market, it recognizes the participation of a large company participating in the crypto market.
I think Libra system also supports Bitcoin, and if it does, I see this Libra project as a major boost for Bitcoin, and not even Libra itself, because like you rightly said, I think Facebook only developed a catalyst for the cryptocurrency world in which the beneficiary would be some of the top coins in the market. Facebook Libra coin would really expose the world out there and most especially their users to blockchain tech in general, while they will also get awareness about its cryptocurrency product. Many people through Libra coin will get to know about other projects like Bitcoin that is good for investment, because I see Facebook coin as just utility token for their platform.
Don't forget that private coin Facebook is stablecoin.This fact suggests that the Libra coin a priori will not be able to compete,at least with bitcoin and Ethereum.Libra will not be able to be king.Among other things, it will be a centralized coin.Yet the crypto community only trusts decentralized coins.

After all, fiat is still strong, innit? Centralized cryptocurrencies are still going, aye?

You guys should stop creating hype around the libra project calling it a crypto kind is absurd and very unprofessional. If you guys ever think that libra coin will come and surpass bitcoin, then you have a lot of thinking to do.
I am agree, when Facebook launches Libra Coin, a lot of good analysis about Libra Coin. But I'm not sure Libra Coin will be the king of cryptocurrency because in the end the market will determine. I think, bitcoin cannot be compared to Libra Coin because bitcoin has started to be recognized as a digital asset
What you means new crypto king?? Centralized coin become king?? Are you kidding me, I even dont interesthing with this coin. Cryptocurrensy is decentralized, we control our money and data, And libra coin not part of cryptocurrensy, ya personal opinion
I, too, disagree with the king, Bitcoin was and is and no one can defeat him in the future. It seems to me I could not I would not be so self-confident and called myself the king when you just recently became popular and people found out about you hate self-confident people
I quite disagree with what you said .Libra is a new born baby though has wide connections and obviously its going long way . Bitcoin , Libra , they all serve different purpose . Why is everyone looking for a replacement for bitcoin? Btc irreplaceable. And how can you compare the Libra token to BTC? The only plus i see is a massive attempt to involve as many people as possible in the crypto industry. What can attract new investments in crypto.
