how do I get my hands on one of those 1000gh sha-256 machines?
how much do they cost

I believe we're suppose to send a PM for pricing info.  Has anyone heard yet?

No price yet (see https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=15826.msg128672#msg128672) at the bottom of the post where he states price is TBD.

Mine did include a USB hub.  I have yet to try it but I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.

I have one of the miners up and running.  From what I can tell scrypt works fine but sha256 doesn't work.  I'm assuming that is because of the older firmware.

... somehow I think my name is on the list at least if there aren't multiple persons with my name ...

I fast parsed the tracking numbers ... but ... not my destination .... maybee I missed some ...

Any chance of doing that for the tracking #s starting with 720225 ?

So maybe others look like what's in that picture, but my cables are not labeled.  For example the power cables that go to the units themselves do not have that nice red/white coloring:

Anyways if you are expecting to get one of these I would recommend having a voltmeter on hand because otherwise I would have been screwed.  Now to get it mining and test the wattage.

Here is an update:
Received my LA3M today Smiley
Everything needed to run it was included (except instructions, and a 10 port hub)

I downloaded all the PDFs and Firmware updates from Jack's 1st post.
And, I could not get it to work.
I got a hold of Jack and it is a lot simpler than I thought.

1st do not use wiibox.
you simply goto the ip your router assigns the controller.

***Here are the steps to get it up FAST.***

1 Wire the controller and link all the cables. (I did just one first and then went back and did the other nine)
2 determine IP
3 goto IP in browser
4 add Scrypt Mining pool info: url, name, pwd
5 choose Scrypt Mining core MHz
6 check Scrypt Mining enable
7 add SHA256 Mining pool info: url, name, pwd (miner will not work without pool info added for BTC mining)
8 uncheck Sha 256 (make sure not enabled)
9 click "submit and restart"
10 refresh to see updated stats

I ran into one error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /www/class/miner.class.php on line 414

But, that may have been due to the fact I was trying to run it without any BTC pool info.
I unplugged the control box and clicked "submit and restart" again and it went away, I have not seen it since

Please let me know any questions...

Notes:
- Works on 240v and 120v
- My LTC Miner 1:8 took 9 mins to start hashing (has happened on multiple restarts trying to play with Core Frequency (MHz)
- No backup pool option yet but they are working on it
- No firmware upgraded needed now, but if u wanna upgrade firmware use the upgrade form on the page, there will be new bins soon
- Core Frequency (MHz) 750 - 850 seems to work best so far... will keep adjusting/playing with it.

Wire Controller:

Linking all the cables: (connecting everything)

DHL just got here Smiley

Now I need to figure out how to set this thing up.

So I got back home and looked through the packaging again.  There were power cables supplied with the unit but they have the ends on them and the PSU is expecting raw wire.  To make matters worse the colors on the cable after you splice it don't match up with the colors shown in the guide.  So now I'm getting my voltmeter out to test the stripped wire.

The good news is I've identified the proper terminals on the PSU.  The third from the right is ground, the one marked N which is second from the right negative and the one marked L which is on the right is live or positive.

are the sha256 chips also working now on these units? or are they still active when hooked up to the pc but not actually mining anything?
and do they work in standalone mode with the controller.

if not, is that still comming in the future?

hi guys,

After (quick) reading I am still a bit confused,

so how much does la3m cost in USD if I pay with paypal and shipping to europe? Is that:

- (2600 +140) * 1.035 ?

What does la3m includes?

- 10 gridseed miners (those with fans on top)
- 2x300W power supplies (220V capable?)
- 10 usb cables?
- controller?
- 10 cables to connect the griedseed to power supplies?
- powered usb hub?
- power cables for usb hub and power supplies?

AFAICS there is not need to the controller if I have a PC to control them, right?

That's about right, I don't think jack will accept paypal payments though. I bought my first one with PayPal...and he cancelled the payment but sent the package anyway. I paid btc when I got the package... That was mighty nice of him.

Regarding the controller. No you don't need it. You can plug it to your desktop and run it with CPUminer, but you need to run a separate instance of cpuminers for each miner, which would really suck if you have 30 of them... Plus win 7 will not connect the USB miners with high com port numbers e.g COM13.
And it uses more juice also, like 200 watt or something... You're better off using the controller

Pricing is correct. You can run them from a computer if you want, but the controller can run stand alone with an ethernet connection. (See pics of controller web interface in this thread)

I'd like to know if the people who have received them are seeing the hashrate increase that Jack was claiming, which puts each unit at around 500kh/s rather than 300kh/s? It was my understanding that they would ship with the new firmware. I have seen instructions for updating the firmware on them, but it required pushing a button and I don't believe the new models shipping now have that button.

The hashrates were from an overclocked miner. You can do that in the old firmware as well. With a little bit of php coding you can crank up the clock speed to 750 - 800 hz,..it's just a parameter of CPUminer (embedded in the firmware) which will probably give you that hash rate...I don't know if that will void the warranty tho.
