I did not get a hub..  Sad
I bought this one (10 port) and it works great was like $24.00
/1fkcryY]http://[Suspicious link removed]/1fkcryY

850 Core Frequency (MHz) is working best for me right now.

I got a hold of the devs on the timeout issue I was having...
It looked like this:
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Device downtime (LTC): DiedBus=1:4
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] All process shutdown - dual 3
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Close the USB controller power
[2014-02-20 03:06:38] Open the USB controller power

Basically all the miners would restart every 10 - 40 mins (ish)

I was testing on different pools including some coin switching pools.

The way it works now is if on of the 10 miners does not submit a share within 10 mins all of the miners restart.
He fixed it for me. (bad news is no auto restart now if one miner dies)

They will fix it in the next firmware update.
They said they will also give us the ability to turn on /off or set time limits on rebooting miners.
And, they will make it more stable, bug fixes + graphs.

I hope they will add the ability to add backup pools.

Here is a pic they sent me and said I could share...

I'm running into the same issue, my rig keeps restarting every 20 minutes... How did you fix this?

Regards and thanks for your help and updates!

I paid BTC (and it was confirmed as received by Jack) on the 8th. No device, no tracking.

This leaves a bad taste.
Is there anyone who paid via BTC and received a miner or at least a tracking id ?

I was told if they havent shipped today i get a refund. Really starting to consider the refund. People who ordered the day after me have already received their packages? I paid in BTC there is no reason someone who paid paypal should get theres that long before me.

Aside from jack being in over his head.

I paid in BTC on 11 Feb and its f@#$ing frustrating seeing paypal payments paid on Feb 12 being confirmed and orders shipped. I'm starting to get real pissed after sending  5 emails at the 2 address provided and every fucking time they ask me same thing: my delivery info. This is nuts!

So bottome lline:
1. I don't have my BTC payment confirment though I asked for it every time I sent pms and  emails. How hard is to check on blockchain.info?
2. No one confirmed they have received my delivery info, despite 5 emails sent so far, and underlining everytime I need to get a confirmation on this.

I was a beliver but I'm starting to loose hope and reconsider this as a potential scam.Anyone willing to invest should at least wait for lightningasic get their shit together and organize better  if they want to be regarded as a serious company. Atm I'm reconsidering making future orders at lightningasic.

Jack said delivery is 7-10 days from payment, otherwise I'm entitled to ask for a refund. My BTC payment was on Feb 11. If I don't get my tracking number tomorrow I'm going to ask for refund.

I have the same feelings. I thought using BTC would speed up my delivery? Also questioning placing any further orders...

I paid BTC (and it was confirmed as received by Jack) on the 8th. No device, no tracking.

 Huh

This is getting not good. There's so many ASIC sellers / companies out there which are giving nothing for their customers that one which can deliver and provide at least some stage of customer service have good posibility to become quite sucessfully. Hopefully it is Lightningasic, but they need to do FAST something for all pending orders / payments etc.

This has been pretty disappointing, the way it has been mismanaged. I paid via PayPal in the 10th and all of my mailing and contact info, as well as the part number, were included in the payment...but I was apparently lumped in with those they couldn't match an order to a payment on. I have been told by both Jack and Angela that it would ship "soon." Yesterday I emailed Jack a question and he asked me if I had ever talked to him, because he had no memory of me. I had to forward the week-long email chain to remind him who I was.

I am really starting to think they ran out of product to fulfill orders and are now just stalling, trying to buy time. Meanwhile people who paid 3-4 days after me have received their orders, apparently.

Buyer beware.

I'm starting to believe this is the case as well in terms of the stall tactic, and that they have run out of stock. But since Jack is manufacturing them, i'm sure it'll be a fast turn around. Also they ship DHL next day, so it wont be long.

Hmm... same here... if not shipped by today 20th, promised refund. No confirmation yet even about received payment. Asked bank to track it. Don't want refund, but confirm, tracking or estimated shipping day.

The same here... i called today my bank one more. They will check this. I don't refund too ... I want the devices...

I want my units too.

Anyone have any info on how to set these up on linux.  My controller that was included stopped sending work to the units so now I'm in the process of trying the various builds at https://github.com/gridseed/ but haven't had any luck.  I've PMed the two guys responsible for the raspberry pi build but wondering if anyone else has gotten these running on something other than the included controller.

I know the guide pdf includes windows instructions so I may have to go that route as a last resort if I can't get it to run in linux.

I've also reached out to Jack about the controller but still waiting to hear back from him.

you should reach out to beastlymac, he updated his firmware on the controller i think.. You can hopefully update your controller with the WEBUI interface by uploading the bin file

Sorry but I gotta say it.  This guy Jack is completely unorganized. It's a roll of the dice, risking your money with him.  That's just my honest opinion.

I have a supplier who is willing to sell me bulk quantities at a great price, but payment must be in BTC.  I trust the guy fully, but I don't have enough BTC to make it happen though. Willing to do a private group buy if anyone else is interested, please PM me. I'm a seller of CCBMC (Avalon) 230G Bitcoin miners on ebay, and been dealing with manufacturers in Shenzhen for 3-4 years, so I'm not a noob. Let me know, I can provide more of my credentials and details about my contact in China if you PM me.

[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Device downtime (LTC): DiedBus=1:4
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] All process shutdown - dual 3
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Close the USB controller power
[2014-02-20 03:06:38] Open the USB controller power

Can you post your settings?

Has anyone with a paypal order actually received tracking?? Feb 13th payment here and still no tracking number

Yes. Paid on the 12th, and received tracking number yesterday. Tracking has the right destination address (more or less), so it is the correct tracking number.

Are the packages from Jack meant to include everything to get up and running?  Including USB hub, etc?

LA3M (10 units) and LA6M (20 units) - Yes.

Quote
Can you recommend a 10 port hub to buy for the LA3M and

I believe this is the 10 port hub they are using:

ORICO P10-U2
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EH44AA6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3RQXY3Y6EOHUW&coliid=I16JK1S792U1OS

The 1 chip USB dual miner, which is based on the same chip, uses that one. It is USB 2.0. They said they were having problems getting it to work with USB 3.0 hubs.

Quote
I am also kind of dismayed by the reports of people getting incorrect cables, needing multimeters to determine which wires to connect to + and - and needing to cut and strip the power cable for the power supply...as well as not receiving the USB hub that was advertised.

I look at it as the problems first adopters, beta testers, face. If you are on the cutting edge of technology, you have to be willing to work out the kinks. In coin mining, the early bird gets the worm. Feel free to wait until the technology is mature and works smoothly. At that point, the profit potential will be much less.

I paid on the 11th via BTC. Talk about shitty logistics. A paypal payment the day after mine got shipped out 2 days sooner?!? Is this what i get for not bothering jack every day with an email? Squeaky wheel gets the grease i guess. I hadnt asked for one update but now i really wish i did.
