Thanks for all the updates... the hardware looks awesome!

I'm contemplating an upgrade from DIY kit form to fully-assembled and tested boards.  What sort of difference in shipping time do you expect between these options? i.e., how many days to assemble/test each batch of boards, and will you ship out the DIY kit form ones first?

How are the fans mounted is a stacked configuration?

Currently the Fusion 16 comes with an 18" PCIe extension cable to make it easier to connect to a normal desktop computer. This will also make it easier to power the units in a stacked configuration. We are currently sourcing a PCIe splitter solution, and will add that to the list of items in the DIY kit if we receive it in time.

Update:

Component sourcing:
The PCB based on Rev 0.3.2 has been ordered. We are doing everything in our power short of sitting on a stool in the fabrication shop to expedite the process. We have decided to process the main batch immediately, with samples being sent from the batch for testing. In the event the test fails, we will pay any additional fees incurred as a result. We understand time is of the essence, and feel confident enough in the design and our fabrication company to take this calculated risk to push production through.
The updated BOM has been ordered, and should finish being delivered by the end of next week. The assembly house has already begun sorting and preparing our order.

Final assembly sourcing:
We have received the spring loaded screws, standard screws, and standoffs.
The fans and USB cables are both scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.
The IC2, or "Klego" connectors, will arrive on Tuesday as well.

Logistics:
The buildout and renovation of the offices and warehouse area to transform them into assembly, staging, and shipping areas is essentially finished. We are now working to sort the roughly 1.5 tons of parts and begin preloading the assembly areas.

I already ordered the Chips, and chosed no assembly & the adress, is my private one

If you look at the address for batch 7 chips:   https://blockchain.info/address/1KSZGQg4WuXT3sj1dwDb79X7f94ghKH3T9  there are 88.236BTC right now.  So there's only about 1000 chips ordered from this batch so far.

I've been following this thread almost from the start, and having gone through most of the other batches as they happened, I can say for sure we're still at the pre-buy phase. 3958 left until they are ordered, and topic will then change to additional 5000 left from purchased order.

If you look at the OP it will say if and when batch 7 is ordered, just as the previous 6.

Infact, right now only the first 1042 chips of batch 7 have sold (if you check blockchain.info)

Edit: found actual chip count sold for b7 (might not be 100% acurate, but enough to know where we are on batch pre-sale or ordered status)

Steamboat, can you clear this up?  The 4600 available are they for an order already placed or a new batch pre order for the future?  Thanks

Just three K16 boards.

You could put as few as one K16 or as many as 24 in the case. The max of 24 may end up being more like a max of 18 if we add a spot for a PSU.

You may be right, but I wouldn't say it is clear from steamboat's top post.   This remains a point of confusion for me.  Reading steamboat's top post in isolation, I would have assumed that there were still 4600 chips available from the already ordered batch 6, rather than 4600 chips that still need to be ordered to trigger a batch 7 purchase, but I really can't tell.

How many weeks has it been since we ordered batch 1 & 2 chips?  Is Avalon late on shipping our chips?  Waiting patiently on someone creating a thread titled "Avalon: Where is our chips?"

Afaik 4600 left until the batch reaches 50% pre-sold, at which point the batch is ordered and paid for by steamboat.

Can someone explain the 4600 chips left to me?  Are there 4600 chips that have already been ordered and waiting to arrive that can be purchased?  Or are there 4600 left until another batch will be ordered from avalon(Could take a while)?  Thanks

Forgive me if this has been answered already.  Each 3-k16 blade in this case, Is it a special board or just 3 seperate regular k16 boards mounted and hooked together.  If I purchase the regular k16 boards at least 3 at a time will they work/mount in the case?  Thanks
