I must have missed it but what website are you guys going to?

site is private, check your email

I don't even have chips yet, so that's probably why... I'm concerned if I order today the last group won't even get enough to push the order through.

I thought the same thing on batch 3...do yourself a favor and put the order in now

It's gonna go through, someone just purchased 172 BTC worth.  There's really only a few more BTC needed before the chips will be purchased.  Historically, when steamboat receives half the BTC needed to purchase the batch -- he purchases it.

The server has been reset, and we are on the phone to increase capacity now.

BitPay verification is complete, and payment options are functioning normally.

Pretty sure the server took a dump and headed for the hills, just as I was trying to do my order. Hit continue and it did not do anything, then google said server was unavailable...
Guess I can try again later...

Update:

BitPay is investigating our account for suspicious activity due to volume. We are speaking with them now and the gateway should be available shortly. The website has been functioning properly. All other concerns will be addressed shortly.

Thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

I could have seen that coming. I'm surprised there wasn't some discussion about expected volume when you signed up to use the BitPay service.

Not to sound like a broken record, but with this kind of volume (not surprising) I'm concerned about order queue placement. I've been trying to order since about 8:00 central

A few pages back, Steamboat said
"Chip purchase and assembly purchase have always been separate. The chips will be processed in the order they were purchased, and so will assembly.
Each batch will be processed as a unit. Batch 2 chips will be processed before Batch 3, and so on. This takes effect only if the chips are delivered at the same time, which is a possibility but has not been confirmed. The assembly queue relates to individual units within each batch. Orders from each batch will not be competing with orders from another batch for their place in line. "

So all of batch 1, then batch 2, etc. If my math is right (50,000 / 16) then there is a max of 3125 k16s that will be made amongst the 5 batches that have been ordered or 625 boards per batch. Would queue placement be that big on a problem, seems like they'd be build within a week (when the time comes) if everything goes smoothly. Some chips are going to other assemblers so maybe this number is smaller.

Or maybe I'm completely off on all of this.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I doubt the order matters that much.

I got up WAY before usual to order, and got a bit testy when the site was not working. LOL It was just TOO early in the A.M. for me. hahaha I'm pretty excited about this whole thing.

BTW, I deleted the post you quoted shortly after I posted it. I was a little fast on the "Post" button this morning.  Embarrassed

Goonies never say die.
Anyone know if the 'testing' of these assembled units will be on the live network?  or what is involved with the 'testing' phase?

Looks like its working now as my order went through.

Appreciate all the work your putting into this steamboat!

Yep, working now. Thanks Smiley

Does the order number we got mean anything about our place in line for assembly? Is the order number specific for each batch?

Thanks again!

Whew! I took this too seriously! LOL

Edit : Nevermind, I somehow ended up with a bunch extras in my cart.

Did anyone else' shipping just more than double? When I tried before it was $21 and now it's $45 for priority?
