Well I did used to hodl LTC in my portfolio but I sold it all for Bitcoin.  It was a good for me to do it and I made more profit now with this 'bull run'.
I do not like to invest in minerals like gold, silver, and copper. I do not like to have to have a space to put it. And I will rather invest in crypto. I will choose to have the Litecoin.

Don't you think the LTC will be booming this Bull run or going forward?  Grin

Well yes that is true I do think it will. It is why I did choose to have the Litecoin and not the Silver.

Both the likes of Litecoin and silver all have potentials for making more profits with our investments on them, but some time we may need to have some extra level of information's concerning them in other to be able to get used to how they are performing, but if we are to make a consideration under a long term use for an investment, the two are more to go with because they can deliver us with the way of their all time performance.

You do not get the point, manipulation comes in stages, and Litecoin is barely $5+B in market capitalization. Do you think big guys with coordinated effort can't still easily manipulate that if they want? I wonder if Litecoin will not go significantly in their direction if they pump it with $250m. Can you compare its stability and imperviousness to attacks like silver with over a trillion dollars worth? It will take more than a coordinated attacks to manipulate such.
I understand what you meant. What I meant is that litecoin in reality is not the same as those coins that are manipulated. What I do not just like about the coin is how it is very sluggish and looking like an old dumped coin. Although, the bull market is not yet over, maybe people will still pump old coins but it is getting late already.

Says who? Perhaps to you. If Bitcoin or Litecoin were to be a physical asset today, their market caps must have reached the moon by now. You can only say that because you do not know how most people think, appearance is everything to many and they rubbish you if you advocate digital assets to them.
Scarcity and value is very important. There are a lot of things that have physical appearance but have no or little value. There are things that are not physical that have value. If someone ask you to take between 1 kilogram of iron or 1 bitcoin, you will take 1 bitcoin. That is the value I am referring to. Bitcoin does has value because its supply is limited and it will become more scarce. People know this and see value in it.

Bitcoin was created 15 years ago and having a markecap of over $1.4 trillion. That is huge. Yet it is not a physical asset.

2. Market capitalization: Silver wins this. It can buy Litecoin multiple times, which means more stability void of manipulations.
Litecoin is not easily manipulated unlike those newly created coins. It is true that it is not comparable with silver.

4. Appearance and more value: Silver wins here. You can see digital and physical silver. It also adds directly to the economy, unlike the decentralised Litecoin whose activities might not be easily counted to the economy of the country of the owner or be taxed.
Appearance does not mean anything. Love, hatred and many other things that affect humans are nit physical. I do not see a winner here as the world is going digital. What that matters is the value in my opinion. What makes something have value is not its appearance. You can see sand cheap but diamond expensive because of its scarcity. Scarcity and value is what that matters.

Who cares about a country economy. I do not actually mean this but fr my next sentence to have weight. I mean this is about investment. Economy is different from people's wealth and successes. The government that create the greatest scam on earth which they always devalue in the name of inflation.

The title says it all. Which of these assets you prefer? And why? I'm comparing both since Litecoin used to be called "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". Knowing that LTC is scarce (only 84m coins will ever be mined), it might live true to its name someday. In case you didn't notice, Litecoin is worth 1/1000th the current price of a Bitcoin. Almost the same as Silver vs Gold (Silver is almost 1/100th the price of Gold).

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
If Bitcoin could be compared to Gold in the crypto world, I see nothing bad comparing Litecoin to Sliver, the similarities are there in the way they mimic them. I base my takes on what they can do for me, their market capitalization, age and apearance/value.

1. What they can do for me: Litecoin wins this. It is more accessible and I can easily make more money from its investment. As for their trading, I can trade the two and still make money.

2. Market capitalization: Silver wins this. It can buy Litecoin multiple times, which means more stability void of manipulations.

3. Age: Silver wins this. Silver had lived centuries before Litecoin.

4. Appearance and more value: Silver wins here. You can see digital and physical silver. It also adds directly to the economy, unlike the decentralised Litecoin whose activities might not be easily counted to the economy of the country of the owner or be taxed.

Honestly silver is my preferred choice if I'll only be given 2 choice which is litecoin or silver.

I personally if I want to invest into crypto it's either BTC or any other alts that are trending, because I want to purse where the money go, litecoin I don't think is good enough investment in my book since if I can invest in litecoin might as well invest in BTC, it's just better.

as for silver, I got the benefit of steady growth I guess, though speaking about the potential profit, it falls short compared to bitcoin by significant amount.

Why do we oftentimes try to tie the price of visible assets like gold and silver to virtual asset as cryptocurrency, those traditional assets have been in existence for God knows how long and this Virtual assets are almost bearly UpTo a decade or at most going for two decades for them, and despite their rapid price appreciate a d popularities with in the short period of their existence, Bitcoin still varies from gold in so many ways and their both can't be compared, same with Litecoin and silver.

Iif I have to make a choice as for which between silver and Litecoin to hold for ling term sake, then I will definitely go for the virtual asseta such as Litecoin and Bitcoin knowing fully well about the risk in such investment.

The future is digital. That means physical assets such as Silver and Gold will no longer be relevant in a digitized world. LTC will become the next "Silver", while Bitcoin will become the next "Gold". These precious metals will lose investor appeal as they focus on industrial use cases. I'd choose LTC over Silver anytime. But there's nothing wrong by buying and holding both assets. To each their own preference.

If LTC grows in correlation with BTC, it might reach a price of $1k (assuming BTC hits $1m) in the future. The sky is the limit to how high Litecoin will go. It's an undervalued cryptocurrency waiting to blossom someday. Who knows what surprises we'll find in the long run? Smiley

Can I have both of them? It's wise to have both of them to be honest. I know that Litecoin isn't that much fluctuating at all even though there have been times that bitcoin has moved on few new ATHs. Silver is fine and it has the physical touch, being tangible makes it better if you're a conservative and the typical investor. There's no need for me to choose if I can have both of them, maybe a 50/50 division of my budget for both of them is going to give me a good diversification if I want to allocate one for Litecoin and the other for silver since I don't own it yet.

i believe in having both silver and ltc and btc and doge.

gold is okay but only 1 oz bars from costco. that I purchased and have the receipt. (This is due to gold counterfeiting)
I want to have gold too but I think that the money that I'll allocate there is better if I keep it on BTC. That's how I move things now, from asset to asset. So if I have to buy some other new assets, it will be from the other assets that I have like in BTC. Selling btc right now is probably good but I've learned from my mistake and I'll wait longer. Diversifying with all of those that you've said is a good decision.

Having them all is best form of not having your eggs in one basket, because why do I need to choose one among them when I can have them all, really I have hard a few kilos of gold as an alternative to my Bitcoin holdings, and hearing about gold counterfeiting makes me goosebumps grow around my skin, because truly I don't know how I will feel when what I have as gold is not original but a counterfeit.

This is why holding Bitcoin is still far more better than any traditional assets like gold and the reason is the security of the assets and the ease of getting Bitcoin as against the many risk of traditional assets like gold.

Crypto is certainly more profitable than other investments. the two investments you mentioned are both seen as much less volatile. The rate of increase in the price of silver is very low and it is very unlikely that it will be worth much in the future. so in that case Litecoin is much more profitable and its price does not drop much due to which there is not much possibility of loss here. But since investing in crypto is risky, you have to be different here with this responsibility.  But if you invest in silver, your investment will be safe even though the profit margin is less

If I am offered the chance to buy Litecoin or Silver I think I have a difficult choice. I’m not a big fan of either asset but I think I’d probably go for Silver. You might make more profits with Litecoin but they are less guaranteed than with Silver which has a long track record of price increasing as time goes on.

If you really want to get benefited from the price increase of precious metals like silver, prefer that only. Light coin is a cryptocurrency which is not hugely popular even though it's very old. So I would suggest you to buy digital silver or any silver ETF.

Silver has shown phenomenal price increase since last decade. And with the applications of silver into the electronics and chip industry, it is expected to grow even faster. So jump on to the band wagon without wasting time.
