I think that's too high as prediction. We cannot certainly know what could be happened tomorrow, but we should predict that able to accept in mind. I think itecoin will hit 1000 USD worth. And it's good investment coin.  It has good potential on cryptocurrency world.

With mass adoption growing everyday, I think Litecoin to be valued at 5,000 by the end of 2018 is possible.
For me that was impossible to happen $5000 is too much for litecoin maybe $2k, that was possible for altcoins to hit, and litecoin can also rise but it will take too long, but i think in 2018 ethereum has a big chance to rise or increase very well it value maybe ethereum can hit $4k before 2018 will end.

I think that's unlikely, now Litecoin is for $ 300 and it would not make sense if Litecoin next year could reach $ 5000. if Ethereum I think it could reach a value of $ 5000

At this point, I think $5,000 isn't going to be possible for Litecoin (unless it proves me wrong). However, I think there's a chance that Litecoin may reach $1,000 or a bit more by 2018. My friend is owning some Litecoins, and he's very happy with the increase since he bought it for $60+ last time per LTC.

I think its to early for LTC to rise THAT high. It'll probably reach 1.5k by the end of 2018, but 5000 is too much.

I think that if at some point litecoin would come at such a high price, it would be one of the most overvalued currencies in history. Being a clone so similar to bitcoin and with so little to contribute except the low fees, it should not go much beyond a tenth of the value of bitcoin. I think gradually litecoin will be displaced by bitcoinCash for those cases, because I find it more advantageous than litecoin.

I do not think that Litecoin will cost 5000, a maximum of 2000. Here, Ethereum can cost 4000-5000 by the end of 2018.
What makes you want to invest in Litecoin if the price is not as stable as Bitcoin? Wouldn't it be much safer to invest in BTC?

Overtime, it has been observed that lite coin been the younger brother of bitcoin benefits from btc rise. I will say that lite coin can even be $5000 as far as bitcoin continues to make massive gains in value

I always wonder how people make up these kinds of figures. I mean, I love the enthusiasm, but they always seem to be based on nothing.

So many of these numbers seem like they are pulled out of thin air.  Can people in this thread not post a number without somehow backing it with something other than gut feeling?

How you say that it will go above $5000 in a year as since many years it was as it was there. You know Ethereum is coming only 3 years back and see the price what it is today. However LItecoin is very old as Bitcoin but always disappoint the investors.

I don't think that's possible for Litecoin since Ethereum has also its ups and downs. Maybe if Ethereum can reach over 5,000 by next year, Litecoin may follow too. But we can never tell exactly and we just keep on speculating since they are unpredictable and they can have their price hike anytime soon.

Well, the prospect are high. But expectation of above $1500-#2500, might not happen. However, never underestimate it. #litecoinsoaring high

So I have taken notice of this "coinbase effect" and I really believe that it is true. I think that people are downloading coinbase, seeing how high BTC is, and deciding to invest into LTC and ETH instead. I am NOT saying that these coins will pass BTC in any way, but I do think that LTC and ETH will be in the 4-10 thousands next year for sure. I made a video with my full predictions and thoughts, please check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks

thats far from reality, litecoin is doing great and making his own way to good
value but $5000 is a huge amount that even ethereum will harder to reach.it theres a
competition coin could hit $5000 its only eth.i trust ltc and i know good project is behind
this but maybe $1000 is the maximum price it could get this next year

I follow what you are saying, but $5000 seems a bit high.
Of course, a year ago today, if someone had said btc would be at 17k by the end of 2017, everyone would have called that person crazy.

the huge influx of money lately is doing wonders for the market and a lot of it is going into ltc and eth, but how long will this new influx last?
There seems to be a limit to how much new money comes in, and if wall street whales really start pumping money into it I can see it going crazy.
But there is no doubt at all that crypto is in a bubble now.
With the real estate bubble and subsequent global economic crisis, bankers pushed the bubble far beyond the limit that statistic analysts predicted.
Could the crypto bubble be pushed far beyond that too?

Now, I hear people saying btc will be 40k by the end of 2018.
And if eth and ltc hits the thousands, I will just cash out rather than stick around to see the bubble burst.
Sad really, I am hoping more for mainstream adoption of real life usage of crypto along with, of course, returns on my investment.
Yes, everyone would call that person crazy because it was almost dream to reach 1000$ so after that 17x rise seems unbelievable, yes? But bitcoin is another task too because this coin is the most popular and there are many businesses that work about projects around bitcoin like mining and etc. I would say ether has more potential if we talk about altcoins, but litecoin is like quiet coin.

Litecoin is a good altcoin but even if it made a huge leap recently I don't think it'll reach the $5k mark in 2018 unless there would a very huge success in LTC dev's side that could pump LTC's price in the market.
About the ether, too, no one thought that it would soar from $ 1 to $ 650, and that's literally less than a year, and now the crypto currency market is extremely illuminated and the amount of money is poured into it, so the price of ltc can be much higher than $ 5000
Can you imagine what will be the Litecoin capitalization, if its price is $ 5,000? Frankly speaking, very much I doubt it. It is some fantasy)
