I'm so excited. With BTC rise LTC can actually multiply making it the best investment  Smiley

It could definitely achieve that price, but it needs to have the bitcoin price to go up a lot. Litecoin is unlikely to appreciate over BTC, rather, it's going to rely on BTC rising faster against USD than it declines against BTC.

Hahaha, how is that sub 0.008 btc/ltc working out for you, noobies? Smiley

Well, you made the right decision to dump when you did, huh Smiley

Hahaha, LTC $10 and above. Good joke. Did you make it up yourself?
Will be a miracle to see LTC at $3 by end of this year. This is obviously a scammy pump. Will dump hard before it reaches $6.

My advise to ya'll is to sell. This is a dying coin.

This guy is a ltc bagholder thinking he can get cheaper coins by spamming stuff he doesn't truly believe as an attempt the move the market.  These petty comments don't actually work, do they?

I'd prefer to invest to LTC actually its stable enough and has the higher chance that it could grow.
Once The Chinese are going to pump LTC, those who look down LTC most probably will regret for not buying.

Yes, The Chinese are they  entertained with BTC and ETH but surely they  will return to pump LTC as in the past in some point.

i am going to sell all my LTC @5.5$.
i think the price will go down after this peak. or i hope that it will be like that.

Chineses will control the next BTC and LTC pump, like "always"

If Chinese friends wants to pump LTC to $50, they will

I think next BTC bubble will reach 1800+ dollars, and Chinese friends will pump LTC to $50 or more... Let's see what chinese "wants"

If they want to pump LTC to 50$ they will, if they want to pump LTC to $100 they will

Chinese rules the market, if you like or not

The good think -> CHINESE GUYS LOVEEEEEEEES LITECOIN, hahahahahha LTC and BTC are the future, the rest are only pump and dump scam coins to make some whales rich fast like a rain, see the history

I remember reading somewhere that the core Litecoin dev is a one of those key persons in Google. I believe we are betting on Litecoin because of his connections to tech bigwigs?

I think LTC will always have the potential to pump when least expected, but personally I would buy ETH to dump it for more BTC if I wanted to speculate on future pumps.

eth is on hold now and ltc has potential to follow great btc when price pump comes  (If comes)
i hope for rise and follow ltc on btc and hope i will come to end like last btc halving

well if bitcoin reach 1k then it is easy for litecoin to be at 10 you know, just amatter of a 10% increase

so don't be fooled by its value in $, the real value should always be in bitcoin, for any altcoin out there

Yeah, fiat currency is constantly depreciating in value and nothing should in my opinion be measured in terms of USD or any other major currencies out there. BTC is a much more fair measure and store of value.

Litecoin could definitely see over $10, however whether it be the push that litecoin needs to get public attention again or not, I personally have no faith in the litecoin project.

Then stop measuring BTC in terms of USD value. Start treating 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

And LTC will always be there for good reason. What if BTC actually starts failing. Where do you think people would transfer to? Def not Ethereum. LTC is far more the safer option.

Not possible to disassociate BTC with USD. There has to be a reference point so an item could be swapped with BTC to get BTC. It is barter trade in a sense.

Updated list of why Litecoin is and will continue to do well:

  • Capable of four times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period. Frankly if payment processors had adopted Litecoin in the past year current Bitcoin block discussions would be irrelevant (and likely the price of both coins higher). Anyone who has watched these discussions understands the immediate advantage of a network with larger transactional capability.
  • Faster confirmation times. The only people who don't think this is important have never spent a single coin or they have patience that the average person does not possess.
  • The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks.
  • Anti-spam.
  • Fast well established network. Current Hashrate is 1,643 GH/s. Since scrypt is memory intensive it is known to be approximately 1000 times slower hardware wise in comparison to SHA256. Fair comparison to the Bitcoin network requires multiplying that hashrate by 1000 (1,643 TH/s). The fact is for most of Litecoins history the hashrate has been relatively high and secure. Those comparing it to the Bitcoin network without considering this 1k factor are either being disingenuous or just ignorant of the facts.
  • Continuous development look here at number of releases in past year: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/releases
  • Upcoming new features and active development look here for whats happening in 2016:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/3z2ta1/ama_official_litecoin_developers_and_litecoin/
  • Longevity. Many coins have temporarily eclipsed litecoin as they were marketed for the purpose of increasing the fiat accounts of a small group and emptying the accounts of new users. Unfortunately this has been detrimental to crypto-space in general.
  • Great community.
  • Fully supported by GoCoin a growing merchant payment processor used by thousands of merchants https://www.gocoin.com/ as well as other processors such as coinpayments, Asmoney, Alfacoins and Coinify
  • Liquidity. You can sell thousands and not crash the market. Maintains value. Look at the chart here indicating volume in the last 24 hours relative to other coins. http://cryptocoincharts.info/coins/graphicalComparison In fact volume has remained high since last June while maintaining a stable price.
  • Soon to be added to coinbase.
  • Upcoming release to include a on-chain adaptive block size scaling solution. This will substantially increase the transactional capacity of Litecoin.

With Bitcoin Lightning Network with the smart contracts and sidechains eventually being adapted, there's just no need for Litecoin.

One coin with one dev team is a complete and utter disaster waiting to happen. Imagine the crazy idea that bitcoins dev team come under the control of big banks and they decide to turn it into a high fee settlement layer with off chain scaling. Then we would all be glad there's a similar alternative that's chosen on chain scaling as Satoshi intended - litecoin - "silver to bitcoins gold" "more Bitcoin than Bitcoin"
