I never understood virtual betting. Why would you bet on matches that aren't real, just calculated by algorithm? If you want that, you can simply play dice - fast and easy and at least you know what you're betting on. With virtual games it feels like you should know why you lost your money, but really you don't.
Live events are real, there's nothing better. Let's say you bet on boxing - you know why the player lost. You saw him making mistakes, getting outpunched, bleeding. You know you lost the money because the fighter really lost the match and it's on his record forever.
I also like watching these events and feeling the adrenaline of the last round coming or the last minute of the game. It's great especially when you know you're winning and there's so little time left before it confirms.

I've been hearing a lot of debates about this recently, both online and in my local area, and it got me thinking. When it comes to sports betting, do you prefer the thrill of live sports events or the calculated nature of virtual games?

Personally, I've realized that I have a higher success rate with virtual games, but live sports events offer that adrenaline rush that's hard to beat. It's a common dilemma for many bettors. I usually love betting on virtual games giving me this sure vibe that my odds might play out. Live sports can be unpredictable, and if you don't place the right bets, you might go home empty-handed.

So, I'm throwing the question out to all of you. Which type of sports betting gets your heart racing and your wallets fattening up? Do you have a preference, and if so, why?

When it comes to thrill then hands down to live sports betting specially if you do really make out some bets to support your favorite team on which it would really be giving out that kind of feeling which it isnt something that you could really be able to feel when you do go virtual.Just like been said with other posters or members above then the results are already determined, whereas if we do speak about those live then it would really be that totally random on which considering that there would really be  factors that could really affect out overall outcome of a certain game on which it is really that making too unpredictable since in the first place.

Dont know if there would really be some recognizable numbers who do love on betting on virtual on which as far as i do understand and in comparison then it would
be understandable that there would be lots who would be preferring on betting on live on which results or outcomes would really be totally random and cant be known.
Also its always been entertaining to watch it live rather than into those predetermined kind of bets.

In my case, I only place bets on games in which I can obtain information about the team, whether there are injured players in the team and who they are, whether the team coach is in good health or not, whether he will be present on the day of the game or not. . what were the results of the last 5 games of the two teams. how was the H2H between these two teams. When you have all this data and on the day of the game we see the squad that will play, then it becomes easier to decide who we will bet on. Now betting on games where you can't have all this data, I honestly don't see this as a good thing, on the contrary I see it as a clear way for people to lose money

It's important to analyze games and feel better about a team before staking money. But, deep down our mind, we are aware that our analysis ain't certain. Those criterion may not change the outcome of a match. Playing the best players or teams in the world, to win, doesn't define football gambling. In sports gambling we tend to win big. That's why people play games with good odd. If the lower team, as they may be called, eventually wins. People who gambled them to win would get much profits. Compared to the bettors of the high advantage team. Regarding virtual games, it's also common to lose games, like it's with real football. The difference is the time intervals. The real soccer games provides weekly interval, while the virtual game can consume a player's money everyday. Although, it's certain that a certain team would win a match, but things can change. That's why people still lose in the real event. Because it can't be predicted. The methods of predicting it is just based on probabilities. Betting companies make huge profits off these mistakes of football gamblers of going with the best analyzed team. Some weekends can be for the small teams to win. Imagine how profitable the week would be for betting companies. A lot of people would lose their money. Meaning that the betting companies are also aware of gamblers that follow analysis. They may also get prepared for such players in unique ways. Just to maximize profits. Appologies for your first surprise in e-sports, that would have felt like a warm hug that can't be forgotten. If they control the virtual game from their back end. What rumor says about betting companies controlling football teams, could be true.

Virtual sports betting is typically a blind betting pattern of gambling that's how I view it to be, you don't have a clue on how to analyze the team's strength and weakness you're doing a complete guess work that's controlled by computers detecting outcomes of the virtual matches that's the reasons I scarcely play virtual sports bets.

These virtual games are being programmed by the site owners to their own advantage as they can easily manipulate the outcome of an event to their favour whereas in live betting you are seeing a physical challenge by both teams so whatever the outcome of the game is you will be convinced because it is actually real and you've watched how the game is being played so you won't have any doubt at all.

If it is choosing which would be more thrilling between live betting and virtual betting, then answer should be obvious. Both would cost you money if you would be picking a losing bet but atleast watching it personally would allow you to enjoy the game at least. But to some who do not have that time to go visit and watch the game of course they would find it more convenient to bet online and just watch the game virtually. Eitherway would be good especially if you’re really into sportsbetting. There are just times wherein you would still take a risky bet online more than with live sportsbetting.

I will choose the live bet over the virtuals because that gives me fascinating experience and indepth satisfaction. I am most moved by live actions not mere virtuals. Live action gives me a good edge over my games and teams when to know better the performance of players of your team. As a gambler obtaining information on performance is a priority so therefore one should be able to prioritise bets that gives them advantage to winning and as such virtua bet plays that role and is most likely the best to be chosen.

Virtual Game is a big no for me since there’s no way to verify whether the match is fair since the game is predetermined according to program set to it while live sports betting gives you the real fun of betting since you watch it live and there’s a lot of contributing factor that can affect the result which makes it more fun.

Virtual Sports are for those gamblers that have nothing to watch or still waiting for their main sports to play. I consider it as a temporary game.

If you prefer to see the scores to be able to predict how the game ends, yes live betting would be better. I did some of these stuff in soccer but it still is no guaranteed you win when you see the score is 1-0.

Just recently I did it with NBA as it's the new season, GSW vs Phoenix Suns to which I thought GSW would win because they recovered fast in the half of the game but they tend to lose still. So if one bets on the game while it's live, it sure is no guaranteed and the bookies also won't allow us to bet at the last minute.

I believe what the OP is inquiring about is real sports betting, where actual individuals engage in betting on real-world sporting events, as opposed to virtual betting, which likely involves characters within a particular video game rather than real people.

In real sports betting, there are various styles of betting. You can place pre-game bets, predicting the outcome of the game before it starts, and there's also live betting, where you can wager while the game is in progress. In live betting, the odds fluctuate much like the stock market, providing an exciting dynamic to the betting experience.

I can't relate to the term virtual sports, Do you mean esports?

Esports is one of the evolving industry but I don't find it amusing to bet on for whatever reasons and the adrenaline involve in live games is far intense compared to a game that is played virtually unless you are being a part of the gameplay.

The thing is to stick with the one that's giving you your maximum win, whether virtual or sport betting. In virtual sports, some of the past games are repeated which makes it advantageous to persons who have the time and energy to study and bet on them. Personally, I just don't like virtual sports because It could run one dry completely within a twinkle of an eye. It is also time consuming unlike sport betting where I can place my bet and channel my attention to something else except when I'm playing inplays.

Of course I prefer live sports betting. If I want something virtual, then I’d rather play dice - it’s faster and the house edge is less than in betting. Plus, no matter how confident we are in the honesty of the virtual game, the purely psychological reliability and honesty of the real game looks more justified. And if we are talking about emotions, then virtual games do not evoke them in me (if we discard my emotions regarding the money that I risk) while sporting events evoke emotions in themselves.

I remember that on my first day of sports betting I didn't know that e-sport was anything different from normal football games, so I put money on a team like Manchester United for example and I didn't know that it wasn't the same Manchester United in real life , so I lost the bet. It was only when I started investigating and discovered this difference that I started betting on real team games and today I see that there is a big difference. and I don't put money into a game that I haven't reviewed first

Gamblers will give you different reasons why they prefer the types of sports betting. I don't derive any fun from virtual betting. I prefer the thrilling and exciting experience that sport live sports bring. Most local betting houses in my locality usually show live games and many fans from different clubs come to to watch these matches. If you want to enjoy the best analysis and prediction, you need to be in the betting shop. I usually derive so much fun from these gatherings. Virtual betting will make you lose your money fast which could also lead to chasing losses. I prefer the slow and steady nature of live betting.

I think every gambling game that gamblers like will give a thrilling feeling to those who play it and maybe other people will not have the same feeling as gamblers who like that game. I prefer sports betting to virtual games, especially since I don't really know how to play them. But other people who like virtual games might be more enthusiastic about participating in virtual games, which is different from what we feel. But playing slots can also excite us because we are just waiting for the results that will determine whether we win or lose.

I just can't help but prefer live sports betting over virtual games. There's something about the authenticity of real-life sports that I like. When people place my bets on a live game, they know they are dealing with genuine athletes, unpredictable weather, and the thrill of not knowing how it'll all play out.
Virtual games betting on the other hand often leave me feeling skeptical. It's like playing a video game where I suspect the system might be rigged against me. That element of doubt takes away the fun I think especially if players want to experience the genuine excitement of a live match, where every move and play is real, not influenced by hidden algorithms or unfair advantages.
It’s just me but I think it's all about the raw, unfiltered excitement of sports betting, where the stakes are high, and the thrill is real. Smiley

I don't gamble anymore for profit unlike when I thought that gambling was for making profit. U gamble to entertain myself and have dun at the same time, and this is why I prefer sport bet with all that thrill when watching it. You can also gather some information based on history and the present performance of the players and the club to use and place your bet. Virtual sport is based on house edge, which makes me see it not cool with me. I watch, I enjoy the thrill from the game and I cash out at the same time, isn't it fun enough.

I suppose you could try creating a poll to see what people here would choose. Also, for those who do bet on virtual sports, it might be helpful to mention the specific virtual sports game they prefer. As we can see, sports betting is the dominant choice, which is not surprising given its popularity.

But in real live sports betting you can well be informed about the two opponents forms, their strengths and ability to win a match is not determined by a computer machine but by their current form and strength and if as a gambler you're able to get your analysis right your chances of winning a bet is great in live sports then your luck comes next. Main inference why gamblers make use of the virtual betting is mainly because it doesn't take more than about 5 minutes to get results in place and many gamblers are known for instant pay attraction games.

Since I am not so familiar with virtual betting, I made some research regarding that one before I post my commnet.

So here's what I found.

Popular Virtual Sports to Bet On
There are a variety of virtual sports available to bet on in the US, and more are popping up all the time. Here are some of the most popular games:

Virtual soccer
Virtual horse racing
Virtual greyhound racing
Virtual tennis
Virtual basketball
Virtual motorsport
Virtual football
Virtual cycling
Virtual darts

Most of the sports listed also have sports betting odds, like the real ones. So, it wouldn't make sense for me to bet on a game like virtual basketball when there's an ongoing NBA season, which is my favorite. For me, it's sports betting.
