Holy crap--aTriz is back??  I haven't seen you around in like forever.  Wow.
Hey bro. I've been here for some time. you didn't noticed I think.

I was going to start a thread about this, but since this one has been bumped it probably would be a waste of time.  One thing I wanted to hear about was from people who might have gotten funds stuck on Livecoin before they went dark.  I know they weren't exactly the most popular exchange out there, but I'm sure they did some business and had quite a few customers.
at one point their 24 hours trading valume reached to $800 million in Coinmarketcap. so yeah. even it was not a very famous exchange like Binance but it still had a lot of users and hundred of millions were being traded everyday.
and I don't think all of them got a chance to withdraw their funds as they suddenly closed the website without any prior warning.

As I said in another thread, I got extremely lucky this month.  I made several small deposits of bitcoin and a corresponding number of trades, and I was able to withdraw the Curecoin I bought each time.  Then I was going to make another deposit when I saw the big black screen telling everyone they got haxxed.
You were lucky you cashed out from them on time.

Personally, I don't believe a word of it after seeing formerly reputable exchanges like Cryptsy and others pull exit scams after years of being legit.  Hopefully people's losses weren't too bad, and I also hope there's a chance that their funds aren't lost entirely....but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.
I think whatever left inside the exchange of users are lost. only those funds are safe which got a chance to withdraw them before shut down.

Altilly exchange seems to be doing a similar exit scam, they literary mimic Livecoin behaviour.
Check their website https://altilly.com/
Lol. I was kind of expecting this . altilly exchange was  very suspicious for me even before.

They likely have more than one server, and any servers that are public facing are likely separate from their back end, and wallet servers.

If there are any actual loss of funds, which I assume there are, I don’t think it will make a difference of if this is an exit scam or not.

It is better not to risk trading on centralized exchanges like this.
True, but if you're like me and you only want to buy an obscure coin like CURE, you have to go where the market is.  It's listed on BTCPOP (which I think is decentralized), but the prices there are outrageous.

It appears Livecoin finally exit scammed with hack excuse claiming that their servers are out of their control  Cheesy
This all happened in time of Bitcoin ATH and people warned about them many times in bitcointalk forum, there is even red warning on their topic.

It's an obvious exit scam from livecoin they lure traders by taking a trade there with  a price go to 320k$ per BTC which will be the reason to others traders  to move their funds there since they have high price compared to other exchange. Lukcyly I don't have any balance anymore in that exchange even cointelegraph think the same it's a well plan exit scam https://cointelegraph.com/news/livecoin-exchange-goes-offline-after-bitcoin-price-reportedly-exceeds-320k.

It seems that Livecoin.net is hacked/ compromised/ out of control. I really hope that this is not a scam exit... Undecided
From early this morning markets are acting more than weird there and it seems that something is seriously wrong.

There site showing this message from now...

so they changed website into this warning. which means they have (got back) the access to their servers or  domain and hosting at least. the excuse of compromising all news channels doesn't sound valid to me. I think they are just making baseless excuses. it's a 100% scam exit from them.
there is a lot of ways to announce that data breach. they are saying it happened many months ago. and they couldn't warn uses before.
seems not right to me.

Hello.
12/03/2019 19:28 you changed the password, after which the withdrawal of funds was temporarily blocked. 12/05/2019 19:28 The withdrawal of funds should have been available, but after your request and public accusations, some functions of your account were suspended for verification by the security service, this is a standard security measure. We request you to withdraw your funds within 48 hours, after that your account will be closed. If you ever try to register with us again, your account will be eliminated without the funds reimbursement."

So I was right to believe they were holding my funds on purpose.

Instead of calmly waiting for the end of the blocking that you yourself made, you accused the exchange of fraud.
Why are you surprised? In general, everything is clear with you.  Huh

Quote me where I accused them of fraud. I never accused them of anything. And I never changed my password. I just applied to another level of security. Then I came on bitcointalk and saw this:
"Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they strongly believe that the creator of this topic is a scammer. (Check their trust page to see the detailed trust ratings.) While the bitcointalk.org administration does not verify such claims, you should proceed with extreme caution."

Who is accusing them of fraud?: Bitcointalk.

I don't have much money there but when I wrote my first ticket in their response they mentioned that I came to complain publicly.
I don't have any open orders there. I have already looked for other tokens I could buy but when that happened with Ethereum, then again with BTC, I fear it will be the same problem with any other coin as long as they don't aknowledge they have an issue with my account.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.

First time I did trading on this platform. I should have checked bitcointalk first and be warned to stay away from this exchange. For putting more security in my account they block me from withdrawing my crypto: "After the change in security settings of your account, withdrawals are disabled ..."
Do not trust those people.
specifically for users, a warning is written in half the screen. learn to read and think first and only then do. you could first withdraw funds and only then change the settings.

Yes, "learn to read", I should return the compliment to them. My crypto in Ethereum was supposed to be freed on the 5th of December, but I have spent hours to get my Ethereum out without success, so instead, I swapped to BTC and I can't get them out either. They don't understand my problem and constantly ask me a screenshot but I am unable to put the screenshot to them.
So instead I did a copy/paste where it says "I have insufficient funds" when I want to withdraw and it shows: Bitcoin   0.04657398, but when I click "withdraw", another page pops up and it shows: Account balance: 0 BTC.
I just don't know what I should f°cking be doing to get my point across.
I believe that they are blocking me on purpose because I came to complain publicly on bitcointalk a few days ago.

I doubt they intervene in the automatic withdrawal transactions, especially for the amounts less than $20000 according to their TOS&wtihdarwal conditions. Just a quick question, do you have any open order on Livecoin? Insufficient funds error usually happens if the user has an open order in the withdraw requested pair. Close all open orders, trade your BTC for different altcoins with low withdrawal fee and try last time to request a withdrawal. Btw, contact with both account and explain your issue:  LiveCoinManager  LiveCoin

Yeah, it is a commonly known to experience for Livecoin, if you have to change the security options, the withdrawals are disabled for 24 hours. By the way, the whitelisted IP address is the only IP address that can be used for requesting the withdrawal. If you have activated it, just disable in case of having static IP address, after wait for 24 hours and request withdrawal.

Some exchange do have that kind of security feature on where if credentials/info being changed up there would be a temporary disabling on withdrawals. This doesnt signify scam directly yet
there would be a specific time for withdrawals to work again. Why not try to read up their FAQs in regards to that situation?
