What kind of dictatorship is this that people are forced to only choose from the most terrible people?

It's not dictatorship. It's, sadly, one of the major flaws of democracy.
On a happier note, a proper democracy enforces there are more powers/pillars in the state, somewhat equalizing the situation and not allowing that easily bad people do bad things.
And while "most terrible" is a bit of exaggeration, they are politicians; if they would be nice people, they would have been choosing nicer jobs.

P.S. For a little fun it is worth watching Futurama A Head in the Polls S2-E7, Groening does a fine job depicting the political mess in the United States in cartoon form. I could only find this commentary on it on youtube, not the full episode itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN8csVGJCsM&t=225s Cheesy

MicroStrategy, Blackrock and many other prominent and institutional investors have criticized and belittled bitcoin in the past, but what about now? They are the top bitcoin holders.
If people couldn't change their minds, I bet bitcoin wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Because many years ago most people called bitcoin a scam but now they are investing in it and that is why it is becoming more and more popular. Anyone can change their mind, why can't and shouldn't we trust Trump? Everything takes time and everyone can change their perspective when they realize its potential.

What's wrong with him turning bitcoin into a scheme to get more voters? What decent politician doesn't use tricks and empty promises to get more votes? He may not love bitcoin as much as he claims, but at least he has publicly supported and used it, and what presidential candidate has ever done this?

That shows if he gets elected, he will hurt us less than Harris and that's why people choose him. People are comparing: between a bad person and a less bad person, we should choose the less bad person. Grin Grin Grin

I'm not familiar with the USA's politics to judge who's better or who's worse. I'm just stating that this might be a public stunt in an attempt to collect more votes from the cryptocurrency community. There's nothing wrong with that; we just don't know if he's truly supporting it because he genuinely changed his mind, similarly to the many institutions you mentioned, or if he's simply trying to appear alternative and make a good impression. The ideal scenario would be if he's actually changed his viewpoint, as that could potentially positively impact cryptocurrencies in case he's elected.

Not only in the United States, in the eyes of the people, politics is always associated with tricks, fraud, and lies. But so what? They are still the leaders of the country, the leaders of us no matter what we say. As I said: no politician has a clean and decent background, and that has become a culture, a very normal thing in politics. So since criticizing politicians doesn't benefit us, why should we waste our time doing it? Instead, vote for the person you think will hurt you less and benefit you more. We vote for them not because we love them but because we are exchanging benefits with each other.

You have made a good point. I am pretty sure all of us doubted bitcoin at one point in the past. People say Donald changed his tone, he used to be a hater like it is a bad thing. No! It is a good thing! He is a billionaire and if he is supporting bitcoin now (which he clearly is) then it is a very good thing for us.

Under Trump's administration, Bitcoin adoption will go to the moon. Imagine having a pro-bitcoin president in the US, that would be the most awesomest thing ever, especially after the Biden/Camala commie duo.
I bet many of us also underestimated bitcoin when we first heard about it and didn't care about it, even calling it a scam. But over time, people realized its potential and started changing their attitude towards it. This is very normal because human nature is skeptical about everything, especially new things. It's funny how they can give themselves the right to change their minds but feel uncomfortable when others do.

Haha, and who cares bro? Do you really think that the crypto community is waiting for Trump to save the Bull run haha, honestly some crypto noobs really think that this election is the only support for the market to move into a huge bull run. Everyone is running for their own.

It would be great if someone supported Bitcoins directly by imposing regulatory policies, it can be a great help to boost the adoption rate, but without that still, we are in a growing state today or tomorrow they need to accept it.

It's more clear to me now that this are all just a political strategy for his interest to win the election, because if it was not for the sake of the election, how many times have we read or head that Trump spent Bitcoin on a physical product or service? Or was it that those services was not yet open and accepting Bitcoin in the past when Trump was not yet a presidential candidate for this year election? There are many services that accepts Bitcoin but because he was not yet running for presidential sit then, he didn't see any need to spend or learn how to make a Bitcoin transaction but now that he want to be elected as the president, he is using what the people love so much to entice them and make them vote for him.

For me I like what trump is doing whether his intentions towards bitcoin is pure or not. If truly he is not a fan of bitcoin but claiming to be right now, even if he wins the presidential sit I don't think he will go against cryptocurrency,  maybe to come up with bad policies that may affect the regulation of bitcoin. No matter what Donald trump may have about bitcoin, but the truth of the matter is that history has it there was a time when trump was a fan of bitcoin and I don't care if it is genuine or not. With what he is doing to with bitcoin trying to gain support from the crypto community I doubt if he will go against bitcoin in the future if he becomes president again.
From how I see things, he's putting on a show to make an impression towards the public as an innovation adopter. I find it hard to believe that during his presidency, he was claiming that Bitcoin is a scam or a bubble about to burst, but now he's actively promoting it during his presidential campaign. There are two scenarios: one, he genuinely changed his mind and realized that he was in the wrong, or two, it's a show in an effort to attract more voters. I'm tilting towards the second.

I will be more impressed if he do it on regular days like there's no election coming. Since for what he did its like he just wanna sell out those things what he do to his bitcoin then gather lots of exposure or create some impression that he's really supporting bitcoin. But since he do it on these days which he need votes of people so provably that this kind of actions is just for his political exposure.

He provably want to be visible to bitcoin user and show something that he use bitcoin then would provably support it under his term. Although this is really crazy but let see what will happen next to it since for sure we could provably see more of this kind of act especially election day in US will happen in November. So politician will double their efforts to convince people to vote them.
I think other people will also impress if he do that on regular days to show his interest to Bitcoin and want to learns more about Bitcoin. We don't know if people will gives their support and votes for him or not because that will not easy to gets that even after what he did. He needs to do more things to gain more attention from people so they will gives votes for him.

The politicians will do all things to get support and vote from people because that is what happens from a long time ago. We don't know what next that he will do to get support and vote from people but he will do something that is different than the other candidates.

For me I like what trump is doing whether his intentions towards bitcoin is pure or not. We don't know yet what will he do to Bitcoin. Besides that, we also don't know if his intentions towards Bitcoin is pure or not or just want to gains attention from the people so they will gives their votes to him. His policies can change after he becomes a new president because he will see the current situation and adapt his policies so that can work with the situation. We will see what may happen later after the election is ends and know who will be the new president and hopefully, that will help crypto to be more popular than now and more people will participate in the crypto.

Basically, Trump is the first US president to make a successful bitcoin payment, yet it'll be appalling if bitcoiners are forcing the whole process down his throat. From your response, the president may just be doing all this because he wants the community to vote for him. I'm 90% sure he wouldn't do all that when he climbs to the throne as president of America. For now, he's like any other investor showing out his excitement for bitcoin, could it be that the memory he's creating with bitcoiners would make impact to his behavior as a leader of America, we may not have been hearing him talk repeatedly about weapons and security in America.

Trump's Agenda is to make America great again, he rarely talks about bitcoin in his campaigns. The last time I watched him speak, it was all revolving around war, nuclear weapon, military, etc. However, should bitcoin be on his agenda, it's the least of what he's thinking about.
He cannot be talking about Bitcoin alone in all of his campaigns, there are also certain areas he has to address. So don't be surprised when Trump is not taking about Bitcoin in all his public campaigns. If Bitcoin is the only thing he talks about, Americans will start questioning him if Bitcoin is the only thing that he is going to look into when he assumes office as the president. That's why you will see him not focusing on talking about Bitcoin alone. The few times he has talked about Bitcoin is enough and people have known that Bitcoin is part of his manifesto. What is America without Military and weapons? He also has to assure the people that he is taking their security very seriously. That under his leadership, US won't be weak.

"Trump using Bitcoin to buy hamburgers feels like a marketing stunt, right? While the symbolism is interesting, it's clear that he's trying to connect with Bitcoiners. But let's be real, it's not Trump who's doing the heavy lifting on the transaction. It makes for good headlines but maybe not the most authentic connection to the crypto community!"

I understand what trump is doing and on a brighter side his action will have effect on both is campaign and also affect bitcoin because the relevance of bitcoin will increase and it will definitely show in value, when the value is doing well that is what people love seeing essentially does that have been holding and when ever their is an increase they sell off the profit and continue with the capital, when you have financial understanding you will also have less financial problems. And buying a hamburger with bitcoin just makes everything more interesting I know some part of government might not like what trump did but trump all the way and their is no any other president thay have initiated this or associated with bitcoin except for El Salvador president.

The authentic connection those not matter what matters is the fact that he even decided to do this and it will even given bitcoiners a peace of mind know fully that when he becomes president their more opportunities that will come through him because of his influence and that is one of the major reasons that people are even happy that trump did what he did it was a brave step and we hope to see more president doing exactly and even encouraging young once.

Trump’s Bitcoin Transaction Makes History at NYC Crypto Bar – Will This Sway Voters?

I put it in quotation marks because he doesn't make it, it has to be made for him. Although it may have significant symbolism, a former US president and presidential candidate using bitcoin to buy some hamburgers, which he then handed out.

He is clearly trying to win the vote of bitcoiners but he could learn a bit more about it by now.

Trump that can't differentiate between Bitcoin wallet address and Ethereum wallet addresses Grin Such a kind gesture of him to display love for Bitcoin but I see this as nothing but political ass licking of Bitcoin community. Why hasn't he do this all this while, he has good 4 years to show all this love he is showing now to the Bitcoin community individually but he is doing it now that the election is around the corner and I don't blame him but the people that gave him the platform.

In 3 months now, this showbiz will be over. If he win that's when we are going to see the real him and how he is going to just forget about all this he has been for Bitcoin. Some people are going to say some of us don't like Trump his Bitcoin stuff but the fact that he was there and never care, he doesn't deserve it now, most of what he is doing now are scripted to appease the community.

It seems for now he is very determined to make it seem as if he is a bitcoiner lol.

Saying symbiosis is clearly a win-win condition regardless of whether his intentions are temporary or indeed remain supportive of bitcoin in the end but when talking about elections is this too forced Cheesy I mean does it really have to be like this to show that he is a bitcoin holder and will indeed work to improve the welfare of bitcoin just for votes. It's too obvious that he's still trying his best to garner votes from bitcoin holders but doing the first transaction so convincingly and in the presence of journalists is still very funny to me lol

He is still quite active to convince himself that hopefully this will not change direction regardless of whether he loses or wins later in the election because it will be very funny when he is currently so vocal with bitcoin ownership but when he loses he immediately changes course to become an opponent again.

Of course that is his final goal, just like any other politician he would do whatever it takes in order to get more votes. I really don't like Trump but besides shows like this one he's actually open to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, he has an opposite view compared to Harris and the rest of her party. I don't know how many crypto holders will vote for him but for sure he got them thinking now.

Politicians are movie actors. They take any acting role to get the support they need. Trump was criticised for not owning or using the currency he is promoting. Maybe this was why he had to do a public display of his first use of Bitcoin.
This is what I also think. They can do anything they want to get sympathy and support from the audience. Even they will do something that they deny before just to get benefit from what they do. The audience should be smart to act and can know what they should choose. If Trump want to get support, he needs to do a lot because making a first transaction in Bitcoin doesn't mean audience will really know what Trump did. Maybe that can affect to the market but we don't know for sure. But thanks to Trump because he know the "name" of Bitcoin because of that Grin

Farewell, Leo
What good is wealth if you are not going to enjoy it?
If you can't enjoy your wealth unless you buy yourself a lambo, then you probably need to lower your standards to live a happy life. The more in life are hidden in the less.

With a mindset like that Even if you own a million bitcoins it won’t make any difference on your life.
If your stack allows spending a small fraction to buy a lambo, then just go for it. But if you're... you know, not a whale, then you need to economize, like regular human beings. If you can't see any difference with better health, education, and by dedicating to doing the things you like, with the people you love, then we probably need to end this conversation here.

What you gonna do when everybody acknowledge bitcoin though, I didn’t hear your answer? Will you abandon bitcoin?
Let me put it this way: I'm the guy you'll sell your bitcoin to when you'll have "hodled enough" to buy that lambo.

That’s not an answer. Me buying a lambo with my btc doesn’t necessarily mean I am abandoning bitcoin. One might buy a lambo with his bitcoins and still have lots of coins in his wallet.

What good is wealth if you are not going to enjoy it? That’s as bad as owning zero bitcoins. With a mindset like that Even if you own a million bitcoins it won’t make any difference on your life.

People buy/sell bitcoin because they acknowledge its importance. Since you don’t want to be on the same side with the majority what you gonna do?

Lol, he's using everything in his disposal at this point. He probably thinks wtf he's doing at that moment, but yeah, more people get to hear about Bitcoin being used as a currency.

You've got to respect his urge to earn Bitcoiners' votes. He clearly earned them. I don't have the evidence, but if I had to guess, the overwhelming majority of Bitcoiners lean to the right, and would immediately sell their souls to a "pro-Bitcoin" politician, if that'd pump their bags. Which is yet another argument on why following majority is a bad decision!
Leveraging on BTC is a key point to get humanity attention, BTC is the most universally used crypto currency. He made a very right step by leveraging and giving relevance to the crypto space. BTC to the world
