Hello everyone, I was introduced to this forum by a friend who advice me to be marketing IEO/ICO companies but I see trading as the only thing I picked interest and willing to spend time here to learn. As a result of this I have dedicated 5 - hours daily to learn about crypto tradibg here in the forum since my research only keep me discouraged and scared due to their negative emphasis. I will like to know the difference between shot term and long term trading and the one that is much profitable. Also the different risk involved in both.

Best Regards

CHRIS
I think there are a lot of threads in here discuss about each day trading and long term trading, plus minus about it. You can make your deep research about it first. And then if you in hurry to trade, try use small amount and learn about it first. With that, you can maximized your time and can get knowledge, and earn money if you profit in your trading activity.
I suggest not to get into a hurry, trading requires time to learn and knows the market position.
We can do both short and long term trading depending on our coins of choice. Not actually daily trading can be profitable all the time most especially when you don't have ample time to do trading. It is quite simple, will have to choose that could be best for our side, time and in our comfort zone. We know the risk inside and must to think wisely before then, otherwise, will just put a quick ends of our trades.

Personally, I think that an inexperienced person should not engage in trading on small timeframes in the cryptocurrency market. This market either stands still or is very volatile. With high volatility and lack of experience, you can lose your deposit. You better try yourself in long-term trading or practice in traditional markets.

In trading alone I prefer trading in the Daily run because this can be beneficial for me. there money can spin faster than we wait until the daily. although the benefits in terms of percentage I do not take large amounts. 5% for the daily target is already very large and our needs can be covered by our trading results
Your daily target is quite huge to me, and I think it would be difficult to achieve that, because the problem with settling a high target is that until you meet that target, you will not want to pay attention to some of the smaller percentage that you would have actually taken to make you more profit.

With this target, I am certain that if you see some of these 1 percent increases, you may not really take it, forgetting that 1 percent could flash several times within a day than 5 percent would flash. I do day trading too and I reefer it because it makes me feel  like I am receiving my daily salary, but my target is not up to that 5 percent, I just have 1 to 2 percent maximum, so that I don’t lose out of any of the two percentage and has help me too for a long time.

I don't think that this is the best place to learn trading from. You need to learn two basic things: technical analysis and risk management. Once you master those then you can really start putting some capital into the market. Until then I recommend demo/paper trading. The timeframe you trade really depends on your personality and how much time you wanna invest into this endeavour. If you wanna do something else beside standing in front of your monitors like you have a business to run, etc. then take higher timeframe trades.
I have been trying to learn this for the past few years and the actual application is very different so I think you should be more careful when trading in this market. I have learned how to manage risk and always divide capital clearly when investing so my risk has been greatly reduced this year. In fact, not everyone can do this because the market requires a lot of luck and many investors have abandoned this market after a period of participation.

Well that's because the tips you get here are what works for the certain individual who gave the tip. If a day traders would tell you how to efficiently makr day trades, he's giving you what works for him. That doesn't mean it'll work for you. Some people excel in making day trades while some people don't. The basics are pretty much the same though when it comes to technicalities, not everyone will be a good day trader. Find what works for you using small amounts.

If you guys have a trouble and obstacles for doing daily trading with technical analysis i think you should do trading based by news or fundamental analysis.
Trading with news based is work for me this year, i'm following all official account of crypto company and crypto people and always up to date with their news, because news in crypto is really affected the price. Maybe you won't able to do trade everyday because the good news is not always happen every day, but it's better for you who want a sure profits, but don't aim for too much profit because it can be a trap too.
Or if you can combine the technical analysis and fundamental from the news, i'm sure you will be successful trader

basically daily trading and long-term trading have their respective advantages, if we have a good strategy. in conducting daily trading, we must have a strategy to be able to get profits every day. Long-term trading will be profitable if we have the right speculation for a long time. the strategy to do daily trading in my opinion is to take profit when the selling price is greater than the purchase price. but if you do have time every day for you to use as learning. I think daily trading is the right choice for you. You can see market price movements to take profits at the same time you can also learn. and in my opinion daily trading can minimize risk compared to long-term trading. in trading we must be patient and don't panic when market price movements are not what you expect.

I will like to know the difference between shot term and long term trading and the one that is much profitable. Also the different risk involved in both.
They are both. Short term trading is profitable if you understand how it works and you're able to trade. If not, you will just be losing your money and nothing else. If you want to start trading you will have to learn technical analysis or maybe find a very reliable source that will do that for you (for your information, most of them that do this are fake).

Long term trading, do you mean HODL? HODL is more easy than day trading, because there isn't much work that you will have to do except that you will be trying to follow up with news and technical analysis but not as much as you would with day trading. You just have to target the right time to invest your money and then wait for the price to increase, and when it does increase, you can then withdraw your profit.

Do long term and day trading at the same time, that will be the most beneficial type of trading, Doing both.
I guess most people here are doing both like myself too. Yes, I am also doing both long term holding and short term trading. But, the big differences in how much risk you will be taking for each kind. I do long term holding for 95% of my capital whereas for short term trading (still I am not into day trading) I risk only 5% of my capital.

Obviously, Day trading is wonderful earning platform for Day traders. Because you have minimum 3 years experience in crypto platform so you know how we survive all the situation. But beginners are loose the investment at anytime so long term investment is good for new investors and they trying slowly in mid term and finally pic the day trading is a nice handling for all the investors.
If day trading is really wonderful like you said, there will be lot of trader who become rich people in the world right now. The fact is there are only few people who survived or earn huge profit through daily trading. Day trading has very high risk to earn some money, you could lose a lot just in a week if you always do cut loss in your trade.
It's just very simple, Day trading if you are winning, but if your coin is losing the price, that will be turn into long term trading. Because basically you don't want to lose your trade so the only option that will be left is to wait for the price to go up and to win your trade. If you don't want to lose your trade then wait. Remember it's not a lose if you are not closing your trade.

The trading option should depend on your capacity. Firstly, you have to learn a lot of things regarding this platform and then you can make a choice what is favorable to you, I think long term trading is quite good for a newcomer, because if you don't have any experience then you should not take any high risk, Except proper knowledge about this platform you couldn't make any profit, But Short term trading is very profitable but quite risky, If you can manage properly then short term trading could make you very rich so decision is yours, But my suggestion goes to you that, You should make clear yourself and then you could make a decision whatever you want.
for someone who is new to trading, I agree if they choose short-term trading. it can make them learn about the trading experience at the time. although in this case, I mostly do long-term trading. however, I think someone who is new in trading will not be patient with long-term trading, so short-term trading is quite recommended.

short-term trading will benefit someone when someone is good enough to pay attention to prices, and analysis in the near future. in this case sometimes I look for information in the media for predictions and analysis of prices that will occur in the near future. so, before doing that, knowledge and information become very important points.
As a matter of fact, it depends on individual skills whether he can do short term trading or not. Moreover, it would be much better for a novice to start with long term trading as that way, he will have more to time to learn and analyze the fluctuating pattern of rate. Once he holds good knowledge, he can go with short term trading and advance to day trading, the most beneficial type.

For me no special skills needed, just follow the trend and the news. Do long term and day trading at the same time, that will be the most beneficial type of trading, Doing both.

There is the problem actually, you are already aiming for higher profits.
Why not start small, test it. Risk a little amount then maybe you could learn more from it.
I get it, that we all need the money but it should not be at a small amount of time.
Any business that is made in a quick risky method could also end in a quick destruction. Better savor every moment or there will be a time that you will get bored in trading due to the repeated monitoring and all that needs to be done.
Agree with you, start with small amount of investment, don't take risk with all your money, so better be careful and take it easy, there are things in life that we are control of.

For daily and long term trading it depends on you, if you have much time then you can do day trading but if you are busy person then long term trading is fit for you..

First of all, consider the volatility in this sphere and the high probability of losing in both trades and never start trading without having enough information. Also do not start until you overcome the fear of losing.

Short term trading is not the kind of trade an inexperienced person can do. Much more risky. But long term is just about the wait, you wait years for the right time. Also, you spend the effort in long term trade by researching until you invest. But, in short term, this research never ends. lol
Yes off course trading is a game of experience, knowledge and tricks about the market, if a person knows all these then he can do any kind of trading whether it is long term or day trading, but I will recommend long term trading for every beginner as the level of risk is much low in it as compare to day trading, day trading needs the experience of years.
