Trading is indeed the best way to earn bitcoin and it is possible to earn a living through it! However, long term trading which is also known as swing trading, is not a very suitable style of trading for a lot of people unless you invest a large sum of money! Because in long term trade, less numbers of trades are executed so you need larger amount in profit.

On the other hand, in day trade you will need to ride on the small changes in the market which doesn't require a lot of capital and you tend to execute more number of trades with small profit to make it up for you!

I would rather request you to visit youtube and learn about various trading strategies! You will find a lot of channels to learn there. I can personally name "Crypto Love" and " Bitcoin for beginners" because I got immensely benefitted from them during my initial days! Good luck!

You potentially could make more money by daytrading, but it doesn't mean you will. Day trading is much much harder you think. It's pretty evident due to most traders actually lose money by day trading instead of actually earning. And don't even forget the time consumed that could be used for other more productive things instead.

Long term is good you can hold it as long as you want that is a long investment.
Daily trading is much better because you can get an good income everyday you can get profits so daily trading is much better than long term.

Day trading:

You spend hours and hours looking at charts
You can earn a good amount of money if you know what you're doing

Long term investing:

You leave your money on bitcoin and you don't need to do anything for years/decades
You can do something else like getting a job or starting a business instead of looking at charts daily

Which one is more profitable? It's like asking if it's better to get a job or to start a business.It completely depends on you.

Always makes me excited when discussing trading, because in my opinion playing trading must have the ability to read the market.
If you don't have the ability to try trading right away, I'm almost certain that the capital will be exhausted soon. There are two types
of trading inside this is the first long term and the second daily trading. For long-term it is easier to do because you only need to buy
coins then set a target sell, usually for long-term it requires a minimum of more than 1 year to enjoy profit. And if daily trading must
choose the right coins because this strategy must find coins that have fast movements or volatility high. Because daily trading targets
the profit earned per day. So it's not just anyone can use this strategy, especially for newbies not advised to play daily trading because
it is too high risk. Both trading strategies require a thorough analysis so that they can make the right decision.

Both styles of trading can be profitable what you need to do is to find out which one is better for you, if you are willing to take a higher level of risk and you are willing to watch the markets every day for hours then short term trading will be a good option for you, but if you prefer to minimize your risks and you have no problem with holding your coins for months or even years if needed be then long term trading could be a better option for you.

Errr long term suggests a larger margin for profit. But, you'd need quite a vision for it since some coins could potentially go down without any cause. Plus, as the name says, profit comes after lets say 3 to 4 years. 2 years at the minimum I think.
As for short term profit, well that has a smaller margin for profit. You'd need daily analysis of charts and current market price and then invest at the right time so that you could profit in the basis of 1hr 3r 5hr time intervals. Basically, its an everyday struggle to watch the market.
Thats what I think anyway.
