Private keys should be kept properly and should not be disclosed to anyone. If you lost it you can't access your wallet anymore and your coins will be stagnant and locked in there. That would be the worst thing that can happen to anyone.

it's a big deal, if you lose your private key, it's the same as you lost it all ..
your coins and wallets will never be open again.
and you have to create a new wallet, then collect the coins again, so you have to keep your private key very carefully

If you still have the wallet on your pc, you can just dump it again.

There are also tools that generate private keys online, based on your adress and wallet.dat file, but I can't confirm these actually work.

Let's hope you'll take this as a lesson, and that the wallet didnt contain to much coins.

Good luck.

Guys what will happen if you accidentally lost the copy of your private key?..it's still possible to transfer your tokens to your other wallet using your wallet address..?? Does anyone know?..thanks in advance
Your private key serves as your password, pin code, and your only sole access to your wallet. If you lost it, then you can never access it. Even if you know your address, you can't use it to access your wallet, only that, you can view your balance. Private key needs to be in your safe place or always have a back up for it. You must always secure your private key.

If you lose your private key you will no longer use it to transfer and to deposit. Tour private key is just simply your password so that no one can use your wallet. So you must be careful with your private because in just simply posting it your coins will disappear

If your private key goes in wrong hands then he may empty your wallet. And without pvt key no one can access your wallet not even you and you also cannot make transfer into new wallet.

No, it is the only one way to deal with the Bitcoin. It is needed for security, so you should keep your parsonal data more carefully. Some people use backups for these needs (even backups on pieces of paper).

It depends on the type of wallet you use. Some wallets store your private key with them so you just need login id pass to enter the wallet and make transactions but if you are on a standalone private key wallet then you have surely lost your funds forever there is no way one can gain access to a wallet without private key nor do we have such technology which could do a brute force attack to guess up the private key.

your coins will lost forever too if you lost your private key. if you create a wallet you should always make a back up of all the information created for a certain wallet

Unless you have your coins on a platform like Coinbase ( they dont give you your private key ) then you are pretty screwed. Which is why security is very important regardless of how much you are investing.

Private key is the most essential thing to access a wallet and once lost is almost impossible to recover unless backups were made and/or the wallet service provided recovery phrases which were backed up. In any case, offline backups of each would ensure total safety of the wallet since you would be in control of the coins without anyone else's access to it.

Sorry to break the sad news dude, but it lost your Private Keys, say bye bye to your coins or tokens. How about your JSON file though, I'm assuming you are talking about MEW here because you have mentioned tokesns? did you back it up or not? Their may be a a slim chance to recover it if you made a proper backup. But other than that, you won't be able to recover them. You know the drill, if you just followed it, this will hot happened to you. Sorry for you lost.

Yes, but you will need a backup for that purpose. A private key is not a password and hence you can not reset it using any link/email id/2FA and etc options, you must keep the backup for it in order to use it in case of emergency.

There are the people who lost their private keys / wallet.dat file and hence lost the entire control from their wallet. Understand that after losing the private keys, your bitcoins are still on the network but since no one (including you) knows the private keys to spend those funds, those Bitcoins are useless and hence lost forever.

No one will be able to access your wallet if you lose PK, and no one can help you to access your wallet again if your PK is lost

So better to keep it in a safe place because if you loose it, you probably loose your money. Always have your multiple back up data about your PK so if one wast lost you till have other option. PK is the most important thing in your wallet, use it well.
