Litecoin is the first alt I know and I never doubt it. Maybe in the next year will be many people who are interested and use litecoin. I'm sure the price will rise to 200% or 300% of the current price.

litecoin i believe was the first altcoin.. i think at end of 2018 could see it at 0.1-0.2 BTC. I believe Charlie Lee selling all his ltc holdings was bad in the short term but in the long run it will benefit the coin.

Litecoin is one of the oldest currencies of this market. People prefer litecoin when bitcoin loses value. For these reasons, Litecoin will continue to gain value every year

It was only last week that Litecoin traded at record highs as its market cap crossed $20 billion for the first time. Litecoin has been around since the early days of the crypto revolution, but has only recently earned the reputation of being one of the most promising altcoins. Founder Charlie Lee says 2018 will be a big year for altcoin, as developers look for new ways to improve confidential transactions and address the lack of fungibility facing the system. A more robust system is expected to bring more investors and users to the digital payment system next year.

Growing demand for Litecoin has not gone unnoticed, with mBit Casino recently announcing that it will support the cryptocurrency, along with Bitcoin Cash and Dogecoin. The online gambling website had previously limited games to bitcoin. According to an mBit Casino representative, one of the main reasons for adding Litecoin was to overcome bitcoin’s scalability issues.

“This transition has been an important one,” representative Philip Aaker said in a press release in reference to the new cryptocurrencies being added to the platform. “We noticed exceptional Bitcoin transaction fees in recent weeks as the blockchain got clogged with unconfirmed transactions. By adding support for cryptocurrencies like LTC, DOGE and BCH, our players will be able to spend much less on transaction fees.”

What do you guys think about the future of Litecoin in 2018?

In recent days ripple is bumping in all the price index sites. But litecoin is not growing like XRP so now investing on ltc is not advisable for anyone. However, some weeks before we have found the LTC shows around 150 USD bump in the single day.
There is not big adoption LTC on that too so still grows in that time means in future also we can find the exponential bump in the chart.

Year end tax selling has created a great buying dip in Litecoin and many others.
Will do great in 2018 and beyond.

With working lightning network and atomic swaps, I can see some nice BTC/LTC correlation.

Huge potential for LTC! Litecoin should already be higher than $1k imo. With the long term history, plus ASICs backing it.. There is no reason why the price should be so low.

Plus lightning network is being tested right now.

So get ready for a wild ride in 2018.  Grin

massive potential for 2018 and beyond.
some very tasty development ongoing in litecoin.
here is a recent article i picked up yesterday,
https://newsstand.google.com/articles/CAIiEPkcgILNeNuPMA4Cwhnmw-0qFwgEKg4IACoGCAow9891MIGZDDDYhrIF

'Litecoin is technically very similar to bitcoin although it is much cheaper to use. So many crypto-savvy businesses are adding litecoin support this year with a few simple steps.'

'The start of new privacy features, cross-chain swaps and smart contract capabilities'

I do believe LTC has the best shot at being a true retail transactional cryptocurrency. It has good speed, low fees, and wide merchant adoption already, and accessible to purchase for newcomers.
