I am sound probably like broken record, but still there is no info from hashlink. It would good to hear from them just yes or no, i mean if some of the coins will be returned or not.

I agree that the name of the coin should be changed in the future. It should sound attractive for investors.

If you guys look at the charge, its all the SHA256 coin + LTC whos taking the beating...
Could it be that investors are selling out SHA256 coins to by in equipment for Scrypt.... I think so !

Only thing we have to consider as a community is the actual name LitecoinDark, in many investors ears, the Dark is equal to something forbidden, so later on in developing we have to consider a name change to make the name more eatable. No Banks, No big investment associations and certainly no governments would be interested in  being linked to a coin with the "dark" in it.
But now im talking future, so maybe the right name would be BTCL = BitcoinLight, just an idea....

Shouldn't give it too much attention, Flapman1 is;

- fudding here because he's invested/involved in pandacoin.
- related to or friends with Manelecrypto (the twitterer). They share the same coin interests, country and maybe more.

This can be concluded from a brief look at his post history  Grin

Hey, do you know why Bitcoin has taken a beating?

Its down to 419$.

Is there any news on it?

Lots of things is going on in the crypto world right now, but for sure LTCD is one reason why BTC and LTC is getting a punch right now.
Investors are affraid of this 2gen thingy and want to see whats going to happen in near future.
You are right that it is not normal behavior for this time of year and those guys who thought that BTC and LTC would be 3000/165 $ a pcs in 2015, got to rethink.
LTC and BTC will not die out soon, but they will not be so dominated in the future, LTCD will in the short run (1-2) years take the silver position and then in time depending on lots of factors BTC will be slowly taken over as well.
You can be sure that if LTCD are able to keep the speed as it has right now community and developing wise.... then there is no roof :-)

I have noticed that you have a lot of misspellings on your main web page. Would you like little help with editing English there (not that my English is perfect)?
There isn't much to edit but, for example under http://www.litecoindark.com/pre-mine it would look better if it was written:

"Pre-mine

Without pre-mining, future development would be near impossible. LitecoinDark has a pre-mine of 3 % of the total number of coins. In other words, 2.467.200 LTCD.
We divide the pre-mine into three different addresses for security reasons. The lead developer Robbert has the only access to the pre-mine.

The pre-mine will be used for:

    Bounties
    Marketing
    Buying features
    Hiring developers
"

I'm not sure what was exactly supposed to be meant in the first sentence but kind of assumed :-)
I hope it's fine

Thanks for the input, I have edit it on the website!

Come on people, i told you yesterday and the day before that we will be hammered with FUD and Scam.
Just let is pass over your heads.
The only reason why the fudders are doing it, because they know a lot of new people only visiting the forum will be scared. Not the ones who is here daily.
And if the can scare of 10% of the readers, that should be enough.
The Coin has settle after some rather hectic days and now coins has switched hands and right in this moment the coin is growing in the same speed on Cryptsy as it did just before the fork.

They cant kill a community coin and they know it...

Is this coin going to crash?

Going down like a cheap whore.  The "devs" here:

1.) Won't clearly explain the LiteCoin trademark issue.  Their explanation amounts to "Well, they're not using it anymore, guess it is ours now so bugger off".  Even if a trademark is expired and the Twitter girl is a Fudette there's a cheap and easy procedure to take it over free and clear.  They won't do that.  Finders keepers is their way of doing things it seems.

2.) They've managed to piss off a bunch of rich Romanian gypsy geeks by insulting the aforesaid Fudette.  That lot has threatened to mass dump the coin in revenge and couldn't care about their losses if they do. A simple apology and maybe a bit of compensation might work according to one fellow. They won't do that. The said they'd dump 400,000 coins and then did so it doesn't seem this is something that ought be pushed under the rug.

3.) They've managed to piss off any other non-gypsy Euros on here by threatening to ban some Germans who were having a perfectly innocent conversation.  Someone might have run their posts through Google translate before going nuclear.  Idoits.

4.) Never come clean about their connection to IconicExpert, coin dumper supreme.  I'll bet his lot will push the button any second now lest the Romanians beat them to the punch. Again.

5.) Come after me for pointing out a few things and asking questions.  Surprised I'm not banned yet.  Soon likely.  They also moderate the forum but aren't saying.  Where's that awful picture of a toilet the Romanians posted.  Nasty thing, glad it is gone but what else isn't getting posted one wonders?

Everything you just said is emtpy bullshit. no one cares that ltc ARE NOT giving a fck about a trademark.
No one gives a fck about some dirty gypos who just got the internet.
No one gives a fck about IE and his sheeple followers.

This community has Bullshit shield set to 11 and all that shit you wrote just slid off

Explain me, why LTCD should crash? It's a coin with good community, trusted dev that does things, not only talks about them like P&D coin devs and it's second generation coin, with innovations and stuff. So why should it be with scamcoins at bottom? LTCD will be with BTCD or at least Halcyons neighbour.

The price is down because alot of coins went out right after the fork all at once due to the low difficulty so the market has been somewhat flooded. just have to wait it out, it will come back up eventually.

Now Hashlink. did anyone get any coins from them or whats up? He kind of disappeared after the dev gave him 4 blocks of coins to give to all of us miners that rented hash to get through the last of the high diff blocks. I didnt get ANY coins, not even for blocks that came after he supposedly got on the right chain. So at this point it looks like the dude is a thief, one thing i despise worse than anything in crypto is theiving pool owners, especially after defending their pool for months. Looks like hashlink decided a few dollars are more important than their rep and their miners. Thats fine, some friends and i are getting ready to launch a website people can go to and rate pools and explain who did what to who and why they got ripped off. This shady pool horseshit has gone on long enough, eventually we will all figure out ways to counter the dirtbags leeching off of us. This community (crypto in general) needs to stick together and out scam pools, scam devs and whatever else comes our way that aims to take advantage of our trust.

That block explorer needs to be updated ASAP.

FUD!

No, not FUD.  In this we're in agreement.  The operator of the explorer has asked me to help in setting it up as there is some issue that I am about to investigate.  Now that the phone calls have stopped, I actually have a few minutes to dedicate to it.

My (sarcastic)point was really that at some point you should have taken two minutes to update the OP to indicate that the BE was not operating.  Then you can take your time getting it fixed.  Keep in mind noobs live by the block explorer and coins live in part on noobs.  The professional thing to do if you know it hasn't been working for a significant time period is to remove the link or make a note.  Just a observation from a semi noob here.

I know things have been crazy and this can get overlooked.  Good luck and keep truckin man.

edit: like "(block explorer currently not updating but blockchain is operational and moving)

It has been a last few crazy days here with getting the slow blocks out of the and updating wallets and trolls running wild lol. I think everyone should take a big breath and relax. This community has done a lot and a lot more is to come that's for sure. Don't worry price shouldn't be concern now only if people want to turn a quick profit. Me iam holding all my ltcd and want to see where we go from here. The journey has just begun for me.
