- Gambling is a game based on probability, and if you can calculate the probabilities, the chances of winning are high. To achieve that, you need skills. Luck, on the other hand, is just a secondary factor. If you lack skills, then, of course, luck becomes the most important factor for you! 

Exactly, some people may believe that gambling is all about luck, and others believe it is all based on an individual's skill. But what they do not know is that it all depends on what type of casino you're playing. There are certain games that require luck, and some do require skill, or both are needed. Like for example, in poker, a skill is required, and luck. When playing poker, your cards depend on your luck, if ever you're not lucky with your cards, you can use your skill such as knowing when you need to fold, bet, or raise a bet. Also, what I see as the most exciting thing in poker, you need to know how to read your opponent and of course, you should know how to bluff.

Absolutely... what makes every gambling endeavor interesting is LUCK , and what every gambler stakes is luck. If gambling relied solely on skill... i think many people should succeed in gambling, especially those with above average skills. They should be able to make money every day from gambling, shouldn't they?

If you want to earn money through skills in full time, work for it. That will give you an advantage. Even in poker games where skills play a significant role, it contributes no more than 10%. Luck will always be something valid to wager on unfortunate people will lose, and fortunate ones will take home the winnings. Fortune plays a substantial role in achieving success, whether in gambling or in business.

we need skill and luck to be able to achieve what we want but it all depends on what we play, if you play slots or any type of online casino (except sports) I think the game requires luck not about skill, but if you bet on In sports, we probably need skills to be able to get closer to luck, basically both are needed to play gambling, but it all depends on what we are playing.

I would ask more of luck. Luck is something I cant control but I can work on skills myself. So while it is important for me to acquire skills, I would want luck to go my way as well. If we have these decision making, understanding probabilities and reading opponents, we have more chances of winning especially if the game is skill based like poker. But if it is something like slot machines or roulette, no amount of skill can influence the outcome directly. But we can make choices within the game like managing our bets or choosing which games to play, still a skill right?

Both skill and luck are very important in gambling. Sometimes luck is not on our side then we realize how important luck is in gambling.  Just as gambling cannot be done depending on luck alone, not only skill in gambling will bring maximum success to a gambler but a combination of these two will make a gambler successful. Many times our calculations are correct but luck is not on our side due to which we lose the bet despite having 80% chance of winning. Luck is more or less in everyone's favor but if anyone is asked how lucky they are or how much luck favors them, everyone answers that luck doesn't favor them at all. Since both luck and gambling skills are very important, a gambler should not only depend on luck but also acquire gambling skills.

In my opinion, these two things are almost equally important in placing bets because without having the skills it will be very difficult to get a profit from the bets we play and if we bet on casino games, we really need luck to be able to win the bets we play, which is very different from Sports betting requires skill and luck in placing bets that we will play.

I am one of those who think that skill is the best thing you can do, because having luck is something very relative, I am one of those who think that when you are in a casino you have to take the necessary measures to be able to have the best of all the games and possibly win, even so with skill, with the best of all in the person, if there is no luck it is difficult, you will not win, but if there is skill and there is luck you can win everything, then this is glq upasa from time to time in cuwendo when we are in the game because there are times when we have a lot of good things, but there is no good luck, we are playing well, but we are not getting good luck, we are doing everything possible to be able to continue doing well, but if we don't do it well , and we are lucky we waste our luck, and we don't win either, or we win little, and that's not the idea either because we as players are always going to have to do something to win things, as far as I'm concerned I think that one should play a lot in a juice in fictitious mode to understand everything literally.

If the person sticks everything to the ability they have , it is not Correct, the ability must be used at all times, and it is what can make us intuit when a good time may come to win and increase a bet, perhaps that sixth sense to make a move, to overcome that home advantage, the complexity of the game and break it by Winning, that is what is sought in a way more than not to go against the rules of the game, but to win in a very wise way so that things can be achieved, otherwise I see it as very difficult for something to emerge, I often hope that when there is a particular game then it will be done well, and well in this we can say that things can be done Very well, and using both, for me both are needed, there are people who are very lucky, not only in the game but in all aspects, but they are very careless, they do not take Skill and that is what is Needed.

Gambling is all about Luck, there is no skill in it, the skill is not what will drive the luck however, it is relevant to be good at speculations cos gambling is strictly around speculations and luck.

Gambling isn't a job hence,  needs luck more than skills. Whoever has luck in gambling is/will be ahead of the skillful person.

In my opinion, luck has a 70% influence on a player getting a win. The rest is timing and skill. Without luck, it is impossible for anyone to win in gambling. Yes, it will depend on what game he is playing. If he understands his type of game is about skill or luck, he can either require skill or luck. But for luck, we will never know when we will get that luck. We can only continue playing and hope that luck will come and give us victory. Both is needed in order to maximize the chance of winning.  Luck is  important because if it is with us, we will be winning for sure.  While skill is also needed to give us more chance of success and even triggering our lucky streak.  Skill is really important in sports betting because having a great prediction skill from the gathered information will greatly enhance our chance of winning.

But despite having both of these, I believe that it is being a responsible gambler will be the one that will lead us to success in our gambling career.  There is no success in gambling addiction even if we are winning consecutively.  Gambling addiction can ruin ones life even though one is raking huge amount of money from winning due to luck and skill.  Outside gambling, a person have life to go with.  His relation to his family and society should not be ignored.  I believe a successful gambler has the balance of everything...  Gambling and the life outside of it.

It's common to see gamblers who won big in the past and lived large, not living at all, in the present time. Due to lack of discipline in money management. They'll promote themselves immediately to the standard of living that worth their enormous gambling earned money. And after a few years, they'll be unable to maintain the same lifestyle they got themselves into. Does it have to do with luck or skill, don't think so, it's psychological. As a good number of gamblers have exhibited same kind of character after winning a jackpot. Aside that, going back to the question of OP, winning in gambling can't be justified by anything, exactly. As a handful of luck will still lose money while gambling. It's a speculative trade, and even our gambling skills can't save us always. Since we tend to or claim to enjoy gambling as a recreational game. Both attributes should be removed in mind. When buying things in the market, we don't need skills or luck to get the right stuffs for us. It depends on the utility and discipline. Same can be applicable to gambling. The discipline shouldn't come last, after winning. It's mainly the first skill in becoming a successful gambler. Else the whole fun or recreation would be lost in few months of gambling. The professionals have better tendencies of winning games like slots, poker, etc due to the observance they've laid on those games during their numerous years of participating in gambling. Yet they still lose money, but it doesn't look like they do, due to their money management skill. Unless it's the kind of skill you mean, OP, like critical thinking. They is no required skill that guarantees winning a game in gambling. Call it luck or whatever, lucky players still lose money.

Discipline. You can be the luckiest or the most skillful mofo on the gambling table, but if you don't have the discipline that it takes to save your money and your winnings from dragged out games and avoidable losses, you're still going to lose the money that you gained in the process. I've seen people be so lucky, this especially happens in sweepstakes. They earn horrendous amounts of money and in a few short years they lose it all out on bitches, booze, and drugs. And for what? Cause they thought that the money's not going to end, and even if they lose it all, they're under the impression that they are so lucky that they could win it a second time around, which couldn't be farther from the truth.

Have either luck or skill and earn your keep, but focus on discipline more than anything. that's what's going to save you in the future.

Depending on the game you are playing the answer will change, if you are playing a game in which your luck is all what matters, like the lottery, then any skill that you may posses is useless and you can only depend on your luck, however if you are playing a game in which your skill has an influence then the only thing that matters is your skill, and this is because in order to win in those games your skill level should be high enough in order to overcome whatever bad luck may come your way.

Yes, this is something that we should really be that realizing that everything would really be that depending on luck or just really needing that little bit mix of luck when dealing with gambling.Doesnt matter if its luck based or strategic based on which it would really be still needing that touch of luck in order for you to win but of course if you are dealing with poker or some card games or with sports betting then we do really know that skills
and knowledge would really be also a contributing factor for you to be able to win up the game. It would really be increasing that kind of winning chance because you cant really just that able to win up alone on just
relying on luck.This is why we could really be able to tell on which one is really that needed or would really be that not much but in overall both things would really be important or simply
it would really be determined on which game you are really that getting involved into.

Important thing is that you do really know on how to deal up with those games that you are really that dealing into. If its really needing up some sort of analysis or not.
You cant really be able to apply some methods or strategy on games which are really that pure luck basing. You wont really be that so dumb on not to notice
those differences.

Know what limit, this is the most important thing to do in gambling, it's not about success and if that's what you want in gambling you will be disappointed, success in gambling is like one in a million achievement, if not you would have seen people coming out in the public that they created an empire using money they won from gambling, you don't need to be told that gambling is a straight up way of ripping people off, the poor will always be poor if they choose gambling, because even if they win they won't be able to walk away, it's an eternal trap and they will always come back into gambling.

Luck and Skill is beyond every gamblers power in gambling, this is not about solving an equation, what skills are you talking about? In gambling adding two to two will not always give you four, I can't even wrap my head around gambling when I should be learning something far more useful for my future, the people that are true champions of gambling are those who build a casino, they will never be at a loss, they are making money off peoples losses because the chances of losing is like 90% in gambling while the chances of winning is like 10%.

Know how to risk little on gambling and spend more time and money on something that has higher chance of giving you more money.

You are deluded and it is enough to consider one situation to realize this. Imagine that you are a professional poker player and you are having a bad day. You are dealt cards that do not allow you to get good combinations. This is random, but it is randomness that determines your luck. No matter how hard you try you can't win the game just by bluffing. So luck is an important enough component not only of gambling, but also of ordinary life.

As a gambler the most important thing is for you to know your onion, the onion to me which means for you to know the skill that you use in Betting or placing your bet. As a gambler you must have a particular skill on how you predict your ganes, this skill is acquired as a result of overtime practice, over time trial and error, and the corrections you've made over time.
 luck is just an additional part of a gambler life, but the most important thing is your your ability or your  skill to predict.
Luck has little to play in the life of a gambler.
