I have been in the crypto space for more than 3 years now and until now, no one here in our house or in my place knows that I'm involved in crypto. I want to make sure that no one knows what I'm doing that is related to crypto because if they will know it, there is a "possibility" that my life will be at risk.

It's good to keep a low profile and not brag about bitcoin but bro isn't it wise to at least let the family members or any one or two people from the family know what we are doing.
If something happens to you unfortunately, your family members will at least be able to utilize your savings whereas if you don't tell anybody about it then your bitcoins will just be lost in case of an unfortunate event unless you have that planned already.

I think it useless to tell everyone about how rich am I especially for the people who keep uploading something into their social media.

For me it's very stupid, they could be targeted for kidnapping or they might even be tax targets.

I know it is kind of idiotic announcing to the world how you have a lot of bitcoin and have a lot of money but most of them know what they are all doing and instead of thinking that something bad will happen to them, they wanted to spread the word about it. There are a lot of people that spread their wealthiness on the internet and they are still there doing it until now.

A friend of mine used to mine bitcoins over the years, and he did it to be stupid and fun.
As far as I know, he has about 10 bitcoins and I think he changed his life with a stupid job in general.
We all had to do this stupid thing in the past.  Cheesy

I guess for retail bitcoin investor will not have a huge money through bitcoin if they came to bitcoin since 2018 ago. But, for those who knows bitcoin between 2010-2015 they will have a huge money right now, yeah they will have a lot of bitcoin in their wallet, at least they will have 10 bitcoin in their pocket.

It will be different with bitcoin investor who just comes, they will not willing to buy one bitcoin and they hold it. Most of them will only sell their bitcoin if they got a profit because they will be afraid of a decreasing price like 2018 ago. Like me, who just using bitcoin as a trading place, I'll just sell my coin when my target price already achived. Unless, some instutional investor who spend a lot of money then they will get an abundant wealth.

On the random note of watching YouTube videos came across this Lucky Bitcoiner whose house is extravagant. Have anyone came across similar lucky persons who are rich enough through bitcoin. I'm completely excited on watching the video, because to own such a mansion isn't an easy thing.
Lucky Bitcoiner
I don't think that she was lucky, she put her money and invest it in bitcoin that's why she buys that extravagant house. I don't think that she is the only one one who is having a good and big mansion right now, I believe that there are so many of them that has been good and lucky to the pump up of the bitcoin. There are so many people who is become a millionaire due to this price surge of bitcoin. Congratulations to this girl that she really take the risks and now she already have a big and extravagant mansion.

That "lucky bitcoiner" can quickly become unlucky if she keeps opening doors to strangers and telling them how she got her money.
That said, how can you say if she owns the house? She could be a housekeeper, a sister/girlfriend of the owner, a babysitter... I have keys to my friend's house, doesn't mean I own it.

I am very happy and motivated to know that anyone can buy a luxury home or other expensive item that comes from investing in Bitcoin. Therefore
I never gave up on collecting as much Bitcoin as possible. And can get results in the next 10 years. I wish all of us can success from Bitcoin and live
a happy life. But having a big house is not my dream, I prefer a small house in the mountains close to nature with clean air. Hopefully my dream can
also be achieved from Bitcoin.

Good for him but I wouldn't show off my house like that.

By doing it you're risking being targeted like so many bitcoiners. There was one in Russia who was attacked and tortured as far as I remember.

What can happen? You can be robbed, assaulted, extorted and if you're lucky Wink and that doesn't happen, the government can come knocking to check if you're not laundering drug money.
That is the problem and that especially when they see you don't have a job, no business, and makes a surprise them you'll have that riches someone will attack you and question about your wealth. That gonna be extortion to us who are in full-time trading, just sometimes we go outside and put us guilty of something.
Much better to keep silent and never be bulgar to the others. We don't need to tell them that we are rich already, just keep simple or just have some business for them not to accuse us of committing a crime, drug trade for example.

This proving the source of funds is a huge problem in the crypto space. Not all countries prosecute for this and in some you don't even have to declare crypto income but in some you can be honest and pay your taxes and they will still come after you asking if you can prove how you got your bitcoins.

That's why I keep my mouth shut and my coins hidden in a safe place Wink

Yeah, you can become a true king with your own castle just if you invest in Bitcoin at the right time. The secret of success is simple Smiley Sometimes I experience envy because I'm not a lucky Bitcoiner. I wish I had invested in bitcoin all my pocket money when I was 15 so I can don't worry about my whole life. But the past is gone and we should think about the future. I hope someday I'll catch a nice profit from HODLing so I will be able to move to Nigeria or somewhere with a warm climate.
Imagining the incident in the past and regretting it is useless and will not change anything. If we are able to do it now, do Holding now if you are able. Don't wait for everything to go up. Setting aside a little pocket money or food allowance and buying $10 bitcoins every week is pretty awesome and done regularly, it's a good strategy and suitable for people who are not as fortunate as bitcoiners or don't have a lot of cash. Do it patiently and be sure.

Lucky Bitcoiner

Having a giant and luxurious house doesn't necessarily mean that the person is as  rich as it looks like. Maybe he spent all his money in that house, which will cost him a lot in the future just to maintain it (keeping it clean, everything working, etc).

I am sure there are a lot of people who are richier but prefer to live a low profile life, without having an extravagant cars, lambos, etc. Because those things will cost a lot of money each year, and they won't make you happy by themselves.

Personally, I would prefer to spend that money traveling, eating good food and living in a smaller house near the beach Smiley

I would maybe buy a tesla if it costs just a few mBTC lol

lol, I'm with you brother.

He is not literally a lucky Bitcoiner for what he have been experiencing right now is all a product of his hard work as time goes by working with Bitcoin as well as the other cryptocurrencies existing in the market. He must be having perseverance and have clear out look on his goals making him to work on things on his favor. But with such thing exposing your wealth that you have got with Bitcoin is something that is very risky and there are lots of danger that is associated on it. He may be a perfect target of those hackers but I am pretty sure he is aware of it for he may have encountered lots of people like those while working with Bitcoin but still better be sure and safe than never.

weird flex but it's ok for social media content on TikTok app.
Since it came from TikTok I can't believe it easily. However, even that content is true, I don't really care.
I won't complain about people showing their wealth on social media.

But, since Tiktok users dominated by 13-24 years old people, content creators should care about their content.
they should start to add some disclaimer. we don't want people to be misled and think that bitcoin/crypto is their ride to rich fast.

oh, she should care about the tax now Grin

Well, that's pure luck I guess, probably invested when the market price is 100$ or I think even lower than that.

If you think about it 100$ market price up to 57k$ if you hold your bitcoin for years that a fortune. You could probably buy 10 houses like that or even more.

There are people in my country that still have bitcoin and holding it until now after they mine it 10-12 years ago.

Don't want to watch it.
It just reminds me of all the regrets by selling some of my Bitcoin too early.  Grin
Does anyone feel the same as me?

Could've got hundreds of thousands of dollars right now but sadly I went spending spree because my wife needs things for the house.
Well, the good part is "she" is happy. That you can't buy.

True, I just look at my bitcoin history and how much bitcoin I have back then, when I see the amount I should get when I hold that bitcoin it's really big. I just don't know where my bitcoin, it's gone  Grin.

Well I know a really smart guy that bought plenty of Bitcoins somewhere in 2013 when it cost around $150, I haven't been in touch with him in a while, but I hope if he was smart enough to buy in back then, he didn't sell it for $5-6k. The thing that gets under my skin is that he told me Bitcoin was going to be something and will only rise, but no one believed him. I had some savings then and could buy 1 or 2 Bitcoins, but I didn't, because truly thought it was a waste of money. I really wish there was a time machine Cheesy
