Having an issue with my wallet needing to sync the entire blockchain every time i open it.  Says "Error Loading Block Database" .Thoughts?  I have several other wallets installed and this is the only one I've experienced this with.

Hi Devs!

Can u tell us whats the current block time for LUXcoin (PoW)?

According to your whitepaper: https://luxcore.io/pdf/luxcore_commercial_wp_v2.0.pdf and official website - it is 60 seconds.

But I have been told it it wrong due to this: https://github.com/216k155/lux/blob/2dab12e1393df7eeed4de4782682e8458dee07bc/src/pow.cpp#L26

So - whats the current block time?

 Huh
Look at Explorer - in average every 120 sec block appears. From 182729 to 182738 10 blocks during 20 min.

i have few LUX.
i have kept it in exchange.
i like to keep it in LUX wallet latest edition.
but i wanna know what is staking? what is the benefit of staking? how to do that?

i am totally new. i do not like to bother you.

thank you.
Staking is giving you chance to find the block by keeping coins on local wallet. The more you deposit the more you increase your chance. Before the time LUX-team had shooted yourself in the leg we got 1-2 blocks per day per 1000 LUX.

thank you Smiley got a bit idea.

Hi I sent 5lux from cryptopia to my win wallet. That was about 12 hours a go and in cpyptopia withdraw history shows transaction as completed but coins never appeared in my wallet....What should I do?
Do you have your 5 Lux in your wallet?

I was using the alpha before that and didn't have this problem. Then switched to beta and the wallet started crashing on exit. I've just tried switching back to alpha (replaced the 4 files from the archive) and now alpha is crashing too.
Could you tell me where the wallet saves its settings exactly? When I first start the wallet it asks me where to store the blockchain and the wallet file. I chose the same folder where lux-qt.exe is (instead of the default appdata folder), and this choice seems to be saved somewhere else on the computer, cause even when I delete everything from the wallet folder and copy freshly downloaded wallet executables back to this folder — the new wallet doesn't ask me where to save the blockchain anymore, it just saves it wherever I chose in the previous wallet. Which means that this choice is saved somewhere else on the PC. But where?
Just make fresh instal with deleting all files from C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Lux(default lux folder) directory except wallet.dat where your coins stored. lux-qt could be anywhere.
I don't have the Lux folder in Roaming. When you first start the Lux wallet it asks you where to save the blockchain and wallet files. By default it's the Roaming folder, but I'm not using it, I usually choose the same folder where qt is (cause it seems simpler to me to manage the files this way when updating/backuping/moving wallets/etc). But here's the thing. When I started using 4.0.0 it asked me this question on the first start, and I chose the same folder where qt is. When I decided to update to 4.0.1 (deleting all the files except the wallet.dat from the qt-wallet folder) it didn't ask me that question anymore, it just started to download the new blockchain into the same folder (which is d:\wallets\lux in my case). How did it know where to download the blockchain to this time? It looks like qt-wallet saves the user choice (folder where to store blockchain/wallet.dat/lux.conf/etc) somewhere else on the computer, the windows registry maybe? I just want to know where exactly.
Thats why choosing defaut folder is required to not get confusing with new updates in future. Cant tell where wallet saving it logs that allows to remember place where it save the data, so you need to use os searcher to find where /Lux folder now placed in your system. Also u can try to find that log file in registry but I cant tell which one u need.

If you have that issue with beta release try to use alpha instead https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases

Was this algo supposed to work with Fury/Nano? Aka Fiji-cards?
Not sure about Fury/Nano but it should work.

Supathanks for you both.
Your main issue is not the c=LIZ (which is just going to be ignored by the pool), but the wrong port. Where did you get the 2016 port from? Luxcoin on BSOD is 6667.

I'm having a problem with the latest version on windows as well. When I click "file=>exit" — it crashes, and I've already had to re-download the whole blockchain since it had probably corrupted after one of these crashes.

This is a known issue which is being addressed.
Temporary workaround is to keep wallet locked - until new version is out.
Didn't help, encrypted the wallet and tried closing it when it's "locked" — still crashes when I press "exit" and then I have to redownload the whole blockchain again.
If you have that issue with beta release try to use alpha instead https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases

I'm not familiar with sgminer, so I won't comment on all the parameters, but one option for the bsod pool is to use:

-p c=

to specify the currency. So for LUX that would be:

-p c=LUX

Good luck!

Zergpool site seems back up now I can check the status of the miner client/monitor now.  Need to go to mine.zergpool.com.

I see there are a couple miners on minemoney.co I may switch over there if they find a couple blocks.  I don't mind waiting a day or two for payouts.

About how much hash has does a pool need to find a block?  If there is just one miner with 30 MH/s on there will they ever find one?
