Exact date of algo change wasn't setted up yet, its matter of few weeks according to recent announcement and that is mean it can be pushed earlier, in October, or, in force-majeure case, in December. Not exactly in November. So, to avoid confusion, I suggest do not rush with such ETA announcement and wait for official information reagarding algo change from our team. Thanks for understanding and for your contribution Wink

We are excited to announce Luxcore’s mining algorithm is switching from PHI2 to RX2 in the coming weeks. RX2 (a derivative of the RandomX algorithm) is ASIC and FPGA resistant. This change adds security to the LUX blockchain, rewards long-term LUX miners, safeguards LUX against price manipulation, and keeps LUX at the forefront of the mining community. Read more about this exciting change and what it means for LUX users here:

You can mine Lux at autoexchange mining pool Zergpool.com at 0.5% fee. Please use following commands for different mining options

Option 1 Auto coin switch by profitability within algorithm with autoexchange to specified coin wallet(BTC in example below)
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://phi2-lux.mine.zergpool.com:8335 -u -p c=BTC

Option 2 Direct coin mining with payout to coin wallet
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://phi2-lux.mine.zergpool.com:8335 -u -p c=LUX,mc=LUX

Option 3 Direct coin mining with autoexchange to specified coin wallet(BTC in example below)
Code:
-o stratum+tcp://phi2-lux.mine.zergpool.com:8335 -u -p c=BTC,mc=LUX

Please note mc stands for mining coin symbol, c stand for payout coin symbol

Autoexchange to BTC, LTC, DASH, BCH or any other currency we mine
Happy mining,
 cheers pinpin

We are happy to announce a new proof-of-work (PoW) algorithm is currently being developed to replace PHI2 which will be called RX2! RX2 is our own blend of RandomX (for more information on RandomX see: https://github.com/tevador/RandomX/blob/master/doc/specs.md). We are designing RX2 to have a better balance between GPU and CPU mining.

This change should ensure a more fair playing field for miners using CPU and GPU hardware, removing any advantage from specialized equipment that may consolidate hashing power. Keeping mining decentralized greatly improves chain security.

We expect to be ready to switch to the new algorithm at the end of this month or early next month. We will announce once a specific block number has been set and a wallet update will be made available.

Stay tuned for an in depth article discussing the algo change in the coming days.

Great. Thank you for detailed answer.

Looking forward new protocols.

From tech perspective i guess the most efficient way for you to go is to add some Bitcoin-like chains, like Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and some other, because they have roughly same tech implementation.
Thanks for suggestion and your interest, we will see what we can do to improve our DEX to launch date  Wink

Hi team

When LuxGate will be open?

Do you have plans providing APIs to post transaction outside of LUXGate app? If already done, where can i find docs?

Do you have plans of integration with some big protocols, like Binance chain to increase liquidity?
Hi. We planning make open beta for Luxgate till Q3 end, stay tuned. Regarding APIs, better ask it our core team guys in Lux discord channel https://discord.gg/qdPM44j, unfortunately I have no such info. Speaking of protocols, while Luxgate is cross-platform chain, so answer is positive, we will consider to add any Binance chain's coins as well as any other coin/protocol which we thing can bring benefits to us.

More info about Luxgate can be found here btw https://luxcore.io/luxgate/

oh that's right. When did McAfee leave the CEO?
Are you planning to take office again in the future?
It was few months ago, here you can find more info regarding https://twitter.com/LUX_COIN/status/1129443188857548800?s=20

Yes, as I said above, we aiming to have new CEO sooner or later somewhere in future. For now this chair is empty, we will see how its going.

Hello, we are considering the purchase of Lux, but we are afraid of the price continue to fall. Will the LUXCore team deal with it?

Another question. There was news that John McAfee became CEO last year, are you still in the Team CEO? Or did you retire?

I saw LUX HP, but the name of the CEO is not John McAfee.
Hi. First of all, team is not controlling Luxcoin price, its a free market, everyone buying or selling the coins based on their own thought or needs. Its only up to you make such decisions. But considering that most main products launch is ahead it might be good time to buy some LUX for the future (not a financial advice though, just a personal opinion).
Second, John McAfee is not Luxcore CEO for some time already, it was mutual decision to go apart and for the best both of sides. For now Luxcore CEO's chair is formally empty, CEO's place took our COO - GUILLAUME H.(aka @Arsonic). Not actively, but of course we look closely for potential candidates for CEO role. We'll let community know if we find the one. Hope I answered your questions  Smiley
