Each as e.g. nya.kano.is (instead of stratum.kano.is)

Maybe it'd be useful to spell this out on the website?  I can only guess what most of these are.  I went by ping, and stratum.kano.is is lowest by far.  I'm guessing it's west coast USA somewhere?

SO to make sure...if I'm in Ga (USA)....it would be stratum.nya.kano.is?
Close. Would be
stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333

Copy that....thanks much!!!

So maybe because I'm a newbie...but can anyone tell me why cgminer will say my GHsav is 35400, but on kano.is, it says hash rate is 18 and change....??

Now dropped to 14...?
Any short term average (less than an hour) will jump around a lot and not be very accurate.
The pool restart was less than an hour ago, so that will only show the 5 minute average.

10 min later...cgminer is at 37 for GHSav, and refresh kano.is now at 24....can anyone explain to me about why the flucuations?  Thanks.

I'll be doing a restart of the main backend pool in 1 hour at 23:00 UTC
This will mean a fail over and immediate fail back for all miners.
I'm seeing a lot of miners disconnecting a reconnecting for a while, so this should clean up that.

Man...is that what it is...I hope so....my avg has gone down from over 42 to 27 over the past 7 days...just from all the restarts...hope that's what it is....
No, it's not been 7 days, only the last few hours.
If you are having trouble keeping your connection to the pool, then it's most likely at your ISP connection.
Also, make sure you are connected to the closest node.

It's probably right in front of me ... but I've looked a few times and have yet to see what the individual node addresses are.  Would you enlighten me please? Smiley

Oh thank god! I have been trying to figure out why all my miners have gone bonkers!

I took some profits today😀
Ditto!
I keep 1-2 BTC loaded into a Coinbase wallet just for this reason Wink
Cashed out 1/2 BTC @ $5,500  so fun times!
If this rise keeps up through all of next year and assuming some Wondrous Shiny New miner does not come out (nothin realistic on the horizon) by 2019 should have enough BC stashed to pay off the house even after the IRS takes its part of the BTC to $$ exchange....

An S3, at today's spot, and according to my historical rewards averages per TH, will generate about USD$28/month.

Better be diligent on doing the math. The only reason I COULD run these (if I had the amps) is my electricity is free.

I just keep looking at my s3's . They are still on my rack with PSU's all hooked up all ready to go. I could plug them in and they would mine. I'm starting to think that even if it is costing a little to run them it my be worth it. I've been only keeping or buying new equipment with my coins. I may pick a price and turn them on over it and off under it. 6k maybe.

Well guys, it has been fun mining with you all, but my free electricity scheme is ending so I'll be decomisioning all my miners.

have fun !

So long, free electricity, wish I had that!

Heck at the BTC price, running one s( will probably pay for it's electrical and some in most places.

my best miner is a S7, so it's a tough call.
I doubt my 4x S5 and 4x S3+ are still worth keeping alive...

Yeah tough call. An S7 is still pretty good but it all depends on how much your electrical is per KW from the power company.
Just sold my S7... maybe should have held on to it for a little longer with todays exchange rate. But was able to grab 5 months of expected mining rewards with the sale and figured I better invest in next-gen tech ;-)
