@tokeweed - I think the ban could be reduced to 1 season but it won’t be dropped. UEFA are going to look so stupid if the ban gets dropped, they’re fighting for their own self respect. It’s their flagship competition, they can’t lose this battle to City & I don’t think they’d have taken it this far unless they had loads of indisputable evidence.

True true...  And UEFA prolly anticipated that City would be doing everything in their power to get the penalties reduced.  Hence the two year ban (anticipated to be reduced to a year.  Smart!).

Today i discover some of interesting rumours

- Iniesta linked to Barcelona and the rumours says
Barcelona will attempts to get him back this summer

- 75 million pounsterling is the money which provided by
Bayern to get Firminho from Liverpool

- Manchester United considering to bring Kalidou
  Koulibaly from Napoli

All three transfers sound like quite stupid deals from my perspective.

Barcelona has more than enough midfielders, if they need something it should be to add strength to attack or maybe defense.

You don't pay 75M million to get a bench warmer for Levandowski. Firminho would be stupid to accept that anyway.

United defense is not so bad, they need more creativity and world class striker. Why spend a big chunk of your budget on defender?

It has now been confirmed that Ziyech is a Chelsea player
Source: https://twitter.com/AFCAjax/status/1227926942122414081?s=19
good to hear chelsea got Ziyech and Ajax fast move on https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1228533087342034945 , set to sign Antony from São Paulo as replacement Ziyech.
Just out of Curiosity, how are Chelsea still able to make signings? I thought they were serving a transfer ban that could last for at least a year or am i missing something?

Anyway Ziyech will be a great addition to a side full of promising youngsters. Lampard will probably need 2-3 more years to realise if Chelsea is headed for the right direction.

Chelsea agreed a pre contract details with both Ajax and Ziyech and unless some terms go wrong, its a deal
Chelsea did the same when they boughta Pulisic from Dortmund.

It's a transfer master stroke

I don't like the fact that Guardiola is only a coach to top clubs.
He went from Barcelona to Bayern and then Manchester City.
I want to see him in another club, apart from Juventus which is the best club in Italy right now, such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Napoli or any other team that is not in a top performance right now.

Not going to happen, Guardiola style of play is only suited for top clubs. He doesn't know how to park the bus and wait for counter attack. He will always try to make his team play a sort of tika-taka football with high possession and shitload of passing. From the clubs you mentioned I could maybe see him at Napoli since it is a good club, with players who could maybe follow his ideas.

Then if he cannot implement his playstyle in every kind of teams then he is not a good coach.
If he needs only top class players in order to be able to do his work then it is very sad to consider him a good coach and mock better coaches such as Mourinho for example.

Juve will test Pep’s will to stay at City. We’ll see what happens, City can still appeal but if the ban stands then I think he will leave.

I've said it over and over...  Pep will see out his contract til 2021.  He owes Ferran Soriano and Txiki Berigistain a lot.  Well...  Unless both of them tell Pep to leave then he'll leave.

And Soriano seems confident the ban will be dropped.

FC Bayern München is looking for a new defender for quite some time now. What do you guys think, can Dayot Upamecano be the one part of the puzzle they are looking for? In my opinion the €60m release clause in his contract is a little to high. He surely is playing a decent season and only turned 21 last October, but I honestly would'nt pay that much for him.

Bayern have identified Dayot Upamecano as a priority target for the summer to replace Jérôme Boateng. Upamecano has a €60m release clause in his contract and has been followed by Bayern since he was playing at Valenciennes in Ligue 2 [@francefootball]

According to the German newspaper Bild it's very unlikely that Pep Guardiola is retuning to FC Bayern München. Its very interesting, that he even wants to fulfill his Man City contract. I honestly did not expect that after the recent Champions League ban. What do you guys think? Do you think Juventus Turin is still an option?

Pep Guardiola's name has circulated in Munich as a potential new coach. However according to his entourage, Guardiola doesn't want to return to Munich and FC Bayern for him is a closed chapter. Guardiola wants to fulfill his Man City contract [Bild]

As a FC Bayern München fan, Manchester Citys recent Champions league ban should be "great news". The signing of Leroy Sané surely gets more likely now.

On the other hand, Manchester City's Champions League ban means Leroy Sané's move to Bayern is getting closer again [Bild]

Momblano said it 8 months ago, about the 2-year ban.

And if he is right this is only the beginning since he said: "City will be banned for 2 years for facts of 2014".

Now the fun part, if this is true they will be investigated for

2015
2016
2017
2018
2019
2020

Good Luck.

I still don't think Pep's gonna leave after the season's done tho.  He'll see out his contract til 2021...  Again, out of respect for Ferran Soriano and Txiki Berigistain.

@Trofo, @coinlocket$, thanks for the info. Crazy stuff for Manchester City. Imagine if this means the top players leaving the club? holy crap, Florentino and Zizou, get ready to buy De Bruyne!!

Well, Pep is 100% leaving at the end of the season, I mean, the board brought him to win the CL, and i don't see him doing it this season, so...Oh, and PSG, they're coming for you  Grin

@tomahawk9 I’ll agree with your analysis about Ziyech as he’s a top class player, and I’m completely shocked as to how did Chelsea get him for such a bargain price.
I'll be interesting to see if he can adapt to the fast-paced style of the Premier League. Hopefully he does because he's exactly the type of player Chelsea needs, an offensive playmaker.

Holly shit, it seems the news are real, I found few more articles on same topic
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/14/sports/soccer/manchester-city-champions-league-ban.html
https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/man-city-banned-from-champions-league-for-two-years/mt2cdd0s9w1i1ol86vr4xhasu

This will have big repercussions on City if true and stays like this. Best players in the world (and arguably one of top coaches) will not be so keen to play for team out of Champions League. I expected a money fine but two years without CL is really gonna hurt them. Of course, City still has the right to appeal and I have a feeling they will manage to reduce the fine to maximum one year without CL.

Edit: Few more links, all sources write pretty much the same stuff and probably copy from each other but maybe some of you value these ones articles more.
