I'm not saying it's aliens...But,... It's aliens.  Cheesy

Why are you so happy? 200+ people are dead
Who says they are dead? Did somebody find the wreckage?

If they're not dead it would be a hostage situation and that's a slim chance
I heard they called one of the passengers and his phone was responding. This means the plane didn't fall into the ocean. IMO somebody hijacked it.

I dont understand how in this day and age a Boeing 777 can drop out of the sky and leave no clues as to where it is.

I see a bunch of speculation from the news agencies regarding the Iranian passengers who used stolen passports to board the plane bla bla bla.

I wonder if its possible that the plane was hijacked, and then was flown low enough as to not appear on radar and landed in some hatred filled country. Like North Korea for example.

Is this possible?

Anyone here have any ideas on what might have happened here. I fly a lot and its beyond me that this can happen.

Shit happens?

It's a big ocean.

My $.02.

The Ocean is indeed big, but the area in question is not, and it's a tense geopolitical area, India vs Pakistan, China vs the whole countries of the Area (Taiwan, Japan, Philipines.....) the area is monitoried by all type of radars, defence systems, satelites ect...., I still can't belive that a Plane like that disapeared unnoticed, some already have the information they just don't want to show their capabilities to others (range of their radars, submarines ect ect)

In the latest news..
If you call any of the passengers, their phone still rings. This is very weird.

The most logical explanation is the most probable one. In all likelihood, I'd be inclined to think it suffered a major mechanical failure that led to it crashing into the ocean. The reason we haven't found it yet is because we're looking in the wrong place and the ocean is one giant ass place to search for stuff.
No. The phones would have died in that case.

i think basically the malaysia gov fucked up, they didn't follow through when the plane changed flight path and they pretty much didnt want to admit it so they kept giving wrong info to the world wasting everyone's time and resources.

The truth is just coming out now, the plane actually flew all the way back across malaysia before crashing. But this means 4 days got wasted searching in the wrong place, just now they are starting to search the correct zones.

I don't understand why the build planes where you can TURN OFF important equipment like transponders http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/malaysia-aircraft-mystery-may-hinge-on-unidentified-radar-path/2014/03/12/334edf74-a9d2-11e3-8599-ce7295b6851c_story.html

It is an interesting and perplexing scenario, but I'm sure the real explanation - if we ever get it - won't be all that exciting.

But then there should be debris, there is none.

Just because they haven't found any yet doesn't mean there is none.

I think all the media is spinning it the wrong way.

What I think happened is this. The two Iranians used the guise of human smuggling to acquire the stolen passports.

They then boarded the plane with the intention to hijack it and fly it to a friendly airport where it sits now, full of scared passengers wondering what's going on.

Possible?

I think you're trying to spin this the wrong way.

1. Plane suffered a mechanical failure, pilots managed to land it on water however due to damage it quickly drowned to the bottom of the ocean. The plane didn't leave debris behind or minimal debris is floating somewhere and we haven't found it yet

A plane of that size will never "quickly" drown... in any case it will take at least 30 minutes. Enough for at least some of the passengers to get out.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_landing

Not if it drops out of the sky and nosedives into the ocean.

the pilot had a flight simulator at his own house.  chances are he found a bug in the software allowing him to travel in time, and took those skills to the big leagues.  and is now chasing Pussy in the 27th century (with the rest of the passangers)

or maybe he killed hitler  Shocked

It definitely is a mystery. The 777 is a massive plane, not something that simply disappears. So far it seems the terrorism link is extremely unlikely, they were focusing the past 3 days on the wrong reason. The whole terrorism hysteria since the past decade makes people assume terrorism is always the highest possibility.

Personally i see the following scenarios:

1. Plane suffered a mechanical failure, pilots managed to land it on water however due to damage it quickly drowned to the bottom of the ocean. The plane didn't leave debris behind or minimal debris is floating somewhere and we haven't found it yet

2. The plane suffered a major failure that caused instant fire that consumed the passengers and the plane, the plane could've possibility completely disintegrated before reaching the ocean.

3. The plane crashed into the ocean or even land, however we just don't know the exact location yet and we're looking in the wrong places.

4. Plane was shot down by military accidentally, cover up is in the process. There seems to be some radar speculation for this theory where unidentified aircraft where flying close by appearing and then disappearing.

I don't buy the hijack scenario and it actually landed in an abandoned airport, with the number of spy satellites we now have it's possible to zoom in all abandoned airports and scan for the plane.

#4 is a posibility.

But for 1, 2, and 3 it doesn't make sense for the pilots to not comminicate or send out any signals at all.

If people survived someone should have communicated with somebody by now, so they are either all dead or hostages (very unlikely). I feel bad for the family members involved

I hope this doesn't become one of those mysteries that never gets solved

this is also interesting based on real radar data: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNZtz-HVy6c

there was another plane that appeared out of nowhere that was tailing flight 370 and then disappeared right after the crash

Something is very fishy and i dont believe the media, trying to pin this on terrorist right away.
